Parents have a God-given right to make decisions for their children. Unfortunately, many school districts have been ignoring the wishes of parents while special interest groups try to criminalize free speech. This list of rights will make clear to parents what their rights are and clear to schools what their duties to parents are.

Honorable Julia Letlow
Representative of the 5th Congressional District of Louisiana
House of Representatives
Dear Congresswoman Letlow,
On behalf of over 2.1 million conservative members of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), we strongly support enactment of H.R. 5, the Parents Bill of Rights Act, which was introduced by you and 90 original cosponsors.
As grandparents and parents, we strongly agree that parents have a God-given right to make decisions for their children. Unfortunately, many school districts have been ignoring the wishes of parents while special interest groups try to criminalize free speech.
Your legislation is critically important in its list of rights to make clear to parents what their rights are and clear to schools what their duties to parents are. We strongly agree that the right:
1) To know what their children are taught;
2) To be heard;
3) To see the school budget and spending;
4) To protect their child’s privacy; and
5) To keep their children safe.
Thank you and your cosponsors for your leadership in sponsoring of this important legislation.
Sincerely,
Bob Carlstrom
President

Excellent.
I definitely support parents having control over their children’s lives, health, and education.
Their children are their responsibility.
NOT the government.
