Dear Congressman Posey,
On behalf of the over 2.3 million members of AMAC – Association of Mature American Citizens, including over 10,200 who reside in FL-08, we are pleased to support your legislation, H.R. 1071, the “Election Technology Integrity and Fraud Prevention Act,” which would amend the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to prohibit States from using a voting system which is connected to the internet in the administration of an election for Federal office.
Every American voter must have confidence that in each election his or her vote counts and is not subject to manipulation or not counted, because of either an internet technology disruption or criminal intrusion into voter machine software. We applaud your introduction of this measure – and that will clearly help to restore voter confidence at the polls.
I am pleased to offer our organization’s full support for enactment of this important and needed legislation.
Sincerely,
Bob Carlstrom
President, AMAC Action
