A good use of funds, this bill opens the way for Medicare to assist seniors with acquiring hearing aids, and the health exams needed to support that acquisition, to reduce other health related maladies for which poor hearing is a risk factor.

The Honorable Debbie Dingell
6th Congressional District of Michigan
102 Cannon House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Representative Dingell,
On behalf of the two million members of AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens, including over 7,000 members in MI-06, I am pleased to write to convey our support for H.R. 244, the “Medicare Hearing Aid Coverage Act of 2023.”
A model of simplicity, respecting the philosophy that a bill should be submitted with a single subject in mind, in this case, the important subject of advancing access to improved auditory health. Your bill opens the way for Medicare to assist our senior Americans with acquiring hearing aids, and the health exams needed to support that acquisition, in order to reduce other health related maladies for which poor hearing is a risk factor.
A good use of funds, this bill stands in contrast to the many terrible and wasteful spending programs which should and could be cancelled in support of funding better hearing for citizens that benefit from Medicare programs.
AMAC thanks you, Representative Dingell, and your bipartisan cosponsors, for highlighting and raising this important healthcare benefit for our elder generations with the “Medicare Hearing Aid Coverage Act of 2023.”
Sincerely,
Bob Carlstrom
President
