The First Year They Got My Wife’s Birth Date Wrong

From – AMAC Member Martin B.

Two years ago we took on Obama care through the Colorado Marketplace. The first year they got my wifes birthdate wrong and no one noticed so they kept kicking back our bills. That took 6 months to correct. Then next year we changed our policy some. First, they never stopped the first policy after we told them until we realized we they had charged us $2000! Then we got a specialist from our insurance agency, 6 months later who fianlly got it back but our bills kept getting kicked back untoil she found they had my wife listed as a male! AND, they had my birthdate wrong. We never really got all this fixed for at least 8 months. That happened literally weeks before we birthed twins! But, that’s not all because she also found out that MY birthdate was wrong, which is why MY bills kept getting kicked back. When they got it fixed they hammered my checking account for $4000 because we were on autopay, and they had realized that I was older than it had been recorded! It cost us 18 SNF fees. They actually DID get back my money and the fees but I was just over them. I’m going to Samaritan. Done!
