The CDC Is Deceiving the Public Again

CDC

If you have to go to the hospital, you don’t want to end up in a dangerous one.

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention knows which hospitals are riskiest, but it’s hiding that information from you — your safety be damned. The feds seem to think they work for the hospital industry, not for you.

Whenever a hospital has a superbug outbreak, the CDC conceals the hospital’s identity, referring only to “Hospital A.” A lot of good that does patients looking for safe care, especially patients with compromised immune systems, cancer, or HIV.

It’s no joke to find out, after you’re already in the hospital, that a superbug is raging room to room or has invaded the nursery where your newborn will be placed. That’s what happens when the CDC hides outbreaks.

Now the CDC is playing statistical tricks to hide how many people have caught COVID in hospitals and to block the public from seeing which hospitals have had the biggest problem.

The stakes are high; 21% of patients who catch COVID in the hospital never make it out, according to Kaiser Health News.

Though the pandemic may be fading, vulnerable patients need to know which hospitals proved proficient at preventing the spread of COVID inside their walls. It’s a safety measure.

Over the course of the pandemic, thousands of patients went into the hospital for other reasons — such as hip surgery, kidney disease or a heart attack — and got infected with COVID.

The CDC is rigging the definition of hospital-acquired COVID to hide this problem.

The agency says only patients who test positive after being hospitalized at least 14 days are considered infected by the hospital. That eliminates almost everyone. The average patient stays only 4.6 days.

The CDC definition also excludes any patient who left the hospital and then developed symptoms or picked up the virus in the emergency room.

It’s a cover-up. The U.K. and many European countries count COVID infections diagnosed seven or eight days after patients enter as hospital-acquired.

At some hospitals, more than 5% of patients caught COVID in the hospitals, according to a Kaiser Health News analysis of state data and Medicare billing data. The CDC refuses to name these hospitals, defying Freedom of Information Act requests from the media.

When a plane crashes, the Federal Aviation Administration doesn’t conceal the identity of the airline. Why does the CDC cover up for a hospital?

To be fair, some regions and some hospitals were hit harder than others by the pandemic. But it’s also true that some hospitals took precautions to stop the virus from spreading and succeeded in providing safer care than others.

Some hospitals tested all incoming patients for the virus and retested days later to be sure. Testing proved critical, because most patients who contracted COVID in the hospitals got it from another patient. At Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, eight out of nine patients who became infected caught COVID from the patient sharing their room, according to the Annals of Internal Medicine.

Why didn’t all hospitals test? Blame the CDC, which left it to the “discretion of the facility.”

New Yorkers should demand to see the data the CDC is hiding. Hospital-acquired COVID is a problem here. In January, during the Omicron surge, rates of hospital-acquired COVID were higher in New York than the national average, though lower than in Washington, D.C., according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of unpublished federal data. Trouble is, citywide averages don’t tell you what you need to know — the adequacy of infection prevention in your hospital.

It’s time to end the CDC’s secrecy in the service of hospitals. The CDC’s ploy to hide hospital-acquired COVID is a red flag.

Call the CDC the Centers for Deception and Cover-ups. The nation should be demanding a health agency that deals honestly with the public. If you have health problems, your life could depend on it.

Communism, which has a ruling body of individuals that RULE the people, seems to be aided by pandemics or the threat of pandemics … it gives them the assumed authority to RULE rather than just GOVERN????? I suspect the years in the near future, are going to be laden with pandemic alerts so that the DemocRats have a basis to continue to RULE the Nation in the semi grip of fear. And the DemocRats want open borders to infiltrate any disease that might become at least slightly pandemic because it justifies to the lowbrows the RULE of the Nation by the Commie DemocRats.

Who owns health care in this country? CDC – guess again. Try AMA. Who controls the hospitals in this country? CDC – guess again. Try AMA… If you want to point fingers, point them in the right direction. CDC does a pretty good job for being under budgeted, understaffed and managed by a political appointee who knows nothing about public health. When I started in nursing I worked at a great for-profit hospital. You either had insurance or you paid. If you died at our hospital, you were dead coming in. It was what you think health care in a hospital should be. There are still hospitals out there like that, but few take Medicare. They’re branches do and that’s what most of us get exposed to – it’s generally good care but let me tell you, nobody was ready for covid……and if your hospital was already existing on the edge of a budget, it got overwhelmed quickly. It’s the nature of the beast, you cannot afford to have extra staff standing around, so traditionally most hospitals are always understaffed. And Trump made it worse by playing covid down and not telling the guard to ramp up and hospitals got crushed. We were behind and haven’t yet caught up.

I am grateful to God that I, for the most part am healthy enough that I don’t need to take a lot of medications. I feel that after three surgeries in a two year period that it’s miraculous. I am a Christian and I trust my Lord to see me through whatever I must endure in this life. He has seen me through so much already. I almost died when I was about ten years old from a severe Athsma attack. From my own foolishness, I could have died from an abscessed tooth years later. Had a pelvic abscess in my late 20’s and was given the strongest medication a person can withstand and made it through that. The thing is, from all my own foolish decisions to not seek medical attention until I could have died from illnesses, God has seen me through them all. My Surgeon for these last surgeries within the last two years told me that if the staff hadn’t gotten me in the operating room when they did, I most likely would have died. He is the only Surgeon I will trust to perform any more I might need. God’s will is what matters, along with my faith I pray He will help me and strengthen me so I will always trust in Him ‘no matter what.’
I pray the Lord will strengthen many of you who are in need of medical help, and that through my own testimony many of you will trust in the only One who truly cares about your souls and your ‘every need.’

“And may God help us all!”

Pray for our country, and pray for Israel.

LOL. That’s a good one. I’m going to plagiarize that quote.

I am almost 69. I have 8 diagnosed autoimmune issues. I am and will remain un jabbed. My immune system reeks enough havoc on its own without additional help from mRNA. I have not seen one of my specialists or been to the research hospital I go to since November 2019. To be honest I do not trust the hospital or the doctors…where does that leave me and I believe 100,000s just like me? How do we rebuild trust? I am sincerely looking for input.

I can’t think of a single move that was right concerning Covid. Some doctors did right by their patients and got in deep trouble for it. The rest just did what they were told. Plus if they’d just been honest in the first place, most that died succumbed to other diseases or injury. Now they lie about the vaccine injury.

So, the CDC is deceptive? Who would have guessed that!? What can the individual do about it?….nothing really….except, perhaps, your doctor might have some help with this…..but, as in the past, to depend on the government for your safety, life, et.al…..you can’t. Best advice I ever received was, stay out of the hospital at all costs…..even if it means dying at home, alone. Exceptional hospitals do exist, but to shine the light on them, is to ignore or hide the seriously flawed facilities……for me personally, since I do some business with the VA….they are the worst overall.

Here is a sad comment: I am so glad I am 75 years old. I see exactly where all these evils are going and NOT be here to see the results! Good luck.

The CDC is not a scientific organization, it is a political one. They proved this when they changed the definition of “mother” to “birthing person”.

Doesn’t matter if CDC produced numbers – they couldn’t be trusted anyway. They haven’t produced any real facts in years, but produce only the narrative they want everyone to believe. Further, they remove and hide anything that negatively reflects on their narrative. Anything COVID they publish is a false narrative anyway.

Let’s see: doctors obey the insurance companies. Insurance companies obey the chemical companies which command also the pharmaceutical companies.
All those people like the “free Hawaiian golf” or the “Aspen skiing”!
The NURSES have to obey all these “big chiefs” and bear the brunt of the complaints, and deaths…
In fact, all the big corporations are just there to bring the numbers up, do as little as can be, STEAL FROM MEDICARE as much as they can, get more money from the patients, even after killing them!!!
What “””44the TRAITOR””” did to the insurance companies, the chemical companies, and the pharmaceutical companies is the straw that is breaking and collapsing the back of the American Worker.

Kinda confirms the old saying about: “If you want to get sick, go to the hospital.”

This is a very critical article of a time of all-out war against an enemy we knew so little about and quite frankly it beat us ruthlessly and is still kicking us routinely. If a health care facility was less than good before this happened, it certainly didn’t have the capability to get better because of it. If you don’t know which facilities are good, better, best in your community you need to get out more. At the time all facilities were overflowed with patients and understaffed, care was compromised, life saving measures took priority. You went to where there was a bed and generally took your chances. If you had to go to a hospital for other than Covid, you should have prepared yourself – vaccinations, masks, wash your hands, sanitizers, get in/out asap. This was the worst of times to be an immune compromised patient in a Covid filled hospital at any level. This wasn’t a political issue; the staff did the best they could and took a lot of personal risks. This is like beating up the fire department and firemen fighting the wildfires. You might notice, we’re not winning a lot of the major battles these days….

How about the lack of repercussions over returning infected elderly to their uninfected nursing home facilities? Those deaths are on the hands of those issuing the edicts – what about Them??

The CDC has become completely politicized and they frankly no longer care if the American public knows it or not. Their leadership, just like in the rest of the federal government, views the American public as acceptable collateral damage should their policies result in avoidable health outcomes. That’s just the way it is and it is up the American people to safeguard their own health to the degree that is feasible. This contemptuous attitude by the federal government isn’t something new, as it has existed for decades.

Mid to senior level federal employees are, after all, almost completely insulated from the repercussions of their actions. There is NO personal accountability for one’s actions. The worst outcome most might possibly face is being forced to reitre early with the full benefits accured to date. Hardly a severe punishment by any stretch of the imagination. The only thing that is new is that federal government departments and agencies no longer care to hide it as well as they used to.
