Selective Hearing on Display by Liberal Governor of Washington

national anthem freedom liberal Washington GovernorAt the annual winter gathering of State governors at the White House last Monday, President Trump took the opportunity to share his proposal to arm educators in order to prevent future school shootings.

In an apparent effort to prove he’s the “smartest person in the room”, Governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) interrupted the President to deride the idea:

“…so I just suggest we need a little less tweeting here, a little more listening…let’s just take that off the table.”

Just prior to Inslee’s outburst, The President had clarified that only a volunteer educator with a “natural talent” for handling firearms would be considered for a concealed carry weapon permit.  “The headline was Trump wants all teachers to have guns…I don’t want teachers to have guns. I want highly trained people”, the President clarified.

So how about a little more listening, Governor Inslee? You are so busy shilling for your support group (teacher unions) that you miss the  point…protecting our most valuable resource and the future of America…our children!

Noted conservative commentator Dennis Prager posted a timely Education Commentary the following day:“…the left rarely, if ever, explains why allowing some teachers and other adults in a school to be armed is a crazy idea.  It merely asserts it as a self-evident truth…it’s not…on the contrary, having some adults who work at schools… trained in the responsible use of guns makes so much sense…the left doesn’t fight evil; it fights those who do…it hates those who wish to see teachers and others voluntarily armed take down the murderers of our children.”

So are YOU listening, Governor Inslee?  An actual common sense solution is “on the table”. Open your closed mind and embrace the merits of it!

I’m waiting for a stupid liberal to tell us to throw all the guns in jail. Hahahahahahahaha
I feel very uncomfortable going in a gun free zone because they make such great targets. The building I work in is a gun free zone with a bank on the first floor! It’s just a matter of time before some criminal puts 2 and 2 together. Do you really think the security guards will do anything to protect the occupants? Heck no, they will be the first to run and hide! At some point in the near future, the places my family goes will be determined by the sign out front advertising that.

I know some states already have this common sense solution in place and it is showing results. Montana passed legislation enabling teachers and school staff, those who were willing and able to, to carry concealed firearms at school. It included a modest stipend of $900-1,000 to cover the cost of a firearm and ammunition purchase and TRAINING. How often do you hear of an active killer at school event happening in Montana?
If some twisted kid wanted to shoot up his school, now he knows there are competent adults all around him to put an immediate stop to the spree. He wouldn’t even know which teachers are armed, just that there are likely some. No 15 minutes of glory until the cops show up. Just a killing spree cut short with a bullet to the perps head.
So yes, I do support “common sense gun control”

The answer to how do we get rid of these monsters in our government is to vote them ALL out. It’s a fact that we tend to vote for our own incumbents because we view them as a “safe” choice. We must have new choices put forward and available for our votes and then we must actually get out of our comfort zones and vote for these new representatives. This was one of the ideas Steve Bannon was trying to accomplish before we let him be drummed out of the limelight. He was for finding new candidates and giving them a chance. My point is OUR behavior has to change.

Inslee wants to show disrespect. Make sure that the next time they invite governors to the White House, they OMIT him. He is a jerk who thinks he made points being a jerk

It is sad to say, that, ever since the past several governors have literally stolen the governorship of the Great State of Washington, the “physical and psychological disease” of selective hearing and other mental disorders has manifested itself in greater intensity than each of the previous “dictator!” I can remember while stationed in various location in the State of California, how the immigration of the “Right-Coast” radicals began to taint that state starting at the University of California in Berkeley. After retirement and settling in the State of Washington and enjoying the Conservative standard of living with normal people, the “Left-Coast” began to importing California Radicals into the Hi-Tech Industry in the Seattle Area I began to see the identical transition morphing into Oregon and now into the Pacific Northwest
in its entirety. Living now in the formerly ultra-conservative Southeastern Washington it is quite a disappointment to see all the West-Coasters and Californians now retiring and relocating into our area. The cost of living has increased exponentially and have been driving many of the native residents out of state for lack of funds to pay their taxes and shop for subsistence. It is tragic to see some of the middle income families troubled into towns that are still well below adequate income and having to work two or more jobs just to meet a minimum standard of living. In any case, all the “RINO’s” and “Political-Climbers” are reveling in all their GLORY!!

In Washington, the 5 populous counties in the Seattle area are run by the lib-tards. The entire rest of the state dances to their tune and they hate it. Most Washingtonians wish they could be a separate state where their voice is heard and their way of life respected by their elected representatives.

I am tired of all the talking and no action. Trump is trying but mostly the talks go on & on and then the right & left each tell some lies and then nothing gets done. How do we, the unpowered, with no lobbyist of our own, ever get this c___ straightened out???

We have to respond in mass. Repeated calls and emails to congress at their Washington DC offices as well as their local offices. Same on state and local levels. I have participated in calling state legislators here in Idaho, calling for a hearing on HB444 (stand your ground) that they were just going to snub because some of them didn’t like the bill. They received enough calls and emails that they decided to give it a public hearing next week. There is so much money flowing in from anti-2A billionaires like Blumberg, that it may not fly, but it least it will be heard now.

Not even the sound of crickets can be heard. Not surprising isn’t it? Frequently those calling to just”do something” have no idea what should actually be done.

Try by noting some facts and some specific actions to take instead of blabbering. Solutions can only be offered if problems are clearly identified.

Every democrat and many republican politicians have received maximum allowable campaign funding from Soros. It is time for someone to take him out and deliver him to the Russians in a clandestine operation.

Lincoln Sorensen

the reason the progressives are so unified is because they are funded by Soros. They are also led by his instructions, which are to resist, disagree with and demonstrate against anything this administration proposes. The group that Obama heads in his new house with his Iranian tutor is also funded by soros and do Soros’ bidding. When asked to elaborate on their positions they can never point to facts, they just continue to name-call and claim what the conservative position is is wrong. That’s because they are just following orders to resist. The alphabet media is also following orders since Soros has a financial hold on them and many of the media and politicians are related. How do these progressives become assembled so quickly and protest all over the country and abroad? They are funded by Soros, also. Why are the progressives so “concerned” with interference in government by Russia and not soros? There is a helluva lot more evidence of interference and outright collusion and “fixing” by Soros than Russia.

Did anyone else notice the students in Florida immediately organized a massive trip to Tallahasse, on a caravan of rented busses, meet with more local students there and lobby legislators. Really? Teenagers did this organizing all on there own? Had the thousands of dollars needed to rent busses and hotel rooms, etc.? I CALL B.S. This has the fingerprints of George Soros and/or Bloomberg all over it. Nice touch to make it look like an organic grass roots effort instead of bought and paid for.

Inslee is rumored to be a possible Presidential candidate in 2020 so this is positioning for his liberal support base. He is also pushing the nation’s first carbon tax but is making it “revenue” positive – meaning taking more money from the beleaguered Washington state taxpayer. Property taxes just went up nearly 20% (!) to fund schools because of the teachers union, gas taxes in this state are among the highest in the Country, and the Department of Transportation is exploring ways to tax based on the miles you drive. Spending in Washington state is out of control and Governor tax and spend Inslee is directly responsible. Next time he opens his big mouth know that he is just another empty-headed Democrat who has left a legacy of a government money grab from a fleeced constituency.

I live in Inslee’s state. There isn’t a single tax that he doesn’t like. He and all Democrats want to make sure that the Trump tax gains are more than eaten up by the state and local taxes they impose upon us. Inslee for president?????? Yeah, right!!!

I live in Idaho near the WA state line. Gas is 30+ cent PER GALLON more across the state line. Cigarettes cost almost twice as much in WA than in Idaho. Same for liquor. Sales tax is 8.7% compared to 6% in Idaho. Although I could find many customers for my beverage business in neighboring Spokane, WA, I stopped actively looking for new customers in WA. It is EIGHT TIMES more expensive for me to do business in WA than in Idaho. Tax and spend. Find new excuses for a new tax revenue source and bend over the constituents. Ritzville,WA is infamous for its state highwaymen, predators on the I-90 collecting fines (tax revenue) from motorists passing through. The lib-tards in Olympia are broken, right between their ears.

Taught high school for 40 years. Been handling firearms for over 50 years. Hold concealed carry licenses in multiple states. Last time I shot for qualification received Distinguished Expert rating. Would a school be safer or more dangerous if I were to have my firearm concealed on my person when an active shooter enters the school?

The problem is the media will only interview teachers from NYC or California on the air, where most teachers think simply having a gun anywhere near by forces a person to kill people. Seriously, they honestly think a gun forces a person to commit murder. That is the narrative the media wants to promote. Not that we’ll trained and responsible gun owners would actually act as an effective deterent.

Washington State governors are constantly trying to catch up with Kalifornia’s socialist, anti-Constitutional moves. They are no better than Hillary as far as cheating to steal the elections there as well. I left the state because of the ever increasing oppressive, socialist government. There anti-2nd Amendment laws are nearly as bad as Kalifornia’s now, under Inslee’s rule.

EdW

The Left asserts that arming teachers is crazy because they believe the assertion “more guns means more crime.” A Fairfax County (VA) Board of Supervisors member recently repeated this assertion when another member recommended looking into arming some teachers in Fairfax County schools. However, if more guns means more crime, then less guns means less crime. Therefore, Fairfax County should disarm its police force because there will be less guns in Fairfax County. Now I’m sure those members on the Board who voted against arming teachers would not vote to disarm police. They would say that police should keep their firearms because they are properly vetted and trained to use those firearms. Which is exactly what advocates for arming teachers propose. The Left and logic (and listening to their opponents) seem to be mutually exclusive.

Papa Doug

For Governor Jay Inslee as with most democrat liberals/socialists it’s not about student safety or public safety, it’s about “gun control” which is really people control to disarm the law abiding so they can make a socialist government a reality!

It is too bad we citizens keep electing people who hate everything about our country. The “Left” wing Democratic”s just want free handouts but don’t want to contribute anything to create.
It shows the failure of our education system. How can such educated people be so lacking in common sense? Their clamoring for “Socialist” government is freightening. But their minds are closed to any common sense.

Don’t confuse educated with wisdom or critical thinking skills. Today much of public education is devoted to indoctrination of the young to view socialism not only favorably, but preferable to our current form of government.

What you call common sense died a long, long time ago. The objective of modern public education is to NOT teach people to think and reason for themselves, but rather to blindly follow authority figures their teachers have identified for them as “trustworthy”. In almost all cases, their teachers point them towards the Democrat Party. Now does that clarify it for you?

Listening is with your ears not your piehole open and flapping . When is someone or anyone going to make are schools safer?? This has been going on since the 90’s , with high school level headed kids as the perpetrators . Why talk about what to do with a active shooter in the building already ??? Secure the entrance have cameras direct to the proper authorities and let the poor picked on individual with his bags of ammo and twenty guns wait for his minutes of reckoning ???

Aardvark

This has been going on since the 90’s because in 1990, a federal law was passed to make schools “no gun zones”. And if you look back at the mass shootings in schools (including colleges) over the last 3 decades, most were actually committed by people OVER 21. But the ones committed by teenagers are sensationalized by the media and gun grabbers, playing on the liberal base’s emotions. The globalist’s end goal is disarming ALL citizens, so they are not anxious to actually solve these murders, just anxious to use them to further their agenda. The sick, Rx drugged up kids that carry out these evil acts, thrive on the publicity of the #FakeNews media sensationalism.

The deterring factor alone should be reason to arm teachers. It would make schools no longer soft targets. When the word gets out, would be attackers will think long & hard about shooting up a school. The fear of not knowing who and how many are armed would prevent these tragedies from occurring. This would likely end attacks on our schools.
Common sense!
