Israel Will be Energy Independent, Can America Follow Their Example?

America has huge reserves of coal, natural gas and oil,  which can can gives us the ability to be totally energy independent without  importing anything from foreign sources…If the will was there to do so.
There is not another country on this earth that has the  amount of natural energy resources that we do and is not doing its best to  exploit them for their own national security and economic health.  All countries look at the United States enviously for its great wealth in  energy…yet we do not fully exploit them.   In some  circles on the left, they seem even ashamed and actively try to destroy them,  such as the “war on coal” being waged.
This is the 3rd installment of my interview  with Danny Danon, deputy speaker of Israel’s Knesset and major spokesman for his  country.
Israel is very much an isolated nation when it comes to  energy.  Until recently, Israel had  virtually none of its own energy and was dependent on outside sources to even  light a lightbulb.
This caused huge potential security problems for this  small country. It imported coal and had an agreement with Egypt to supply oil  and natural gas, making it vulnerable to changing and hostile Mid East political  turmoil.
The recent removal of Hosni Mubarrak, Egypt’s long term  leader and friend of Israel, saw the reins of power change.  Almost immediately friction began between the countries.  The pipeline from Egypt’s natural gas fields to supply Israel was  sabotaged more than 14 times, making it unusable.
In April, the new regime in Egypt, by now headed by the  Muslim Brotherhood, decided to cancel the long term natural gas supply contract  with Israel.
This could have been a devastating blow, possibly forcing  a war for energy, a nations lifeblood. But in a dramatic, almost biblical turn  of events, Israel had been rescued from the Egyptian decree by the discovery of  huge natural gas fields off its coast.
The size of this discovery turns Israel into a long term,  energy independent country. They  have more than enough gas to become an energy exporter.  This is game changing and history making at the same time…..As though a  hand again parted the water to rescue the Israelis.
When I asked Danny Danon about this huge turn of events,  his response was: “We were very lucky when we found the gas and within a year  we expect to be transferring the gas from the sea into our power  grid”.
Danon expects to see his country become a major exporter  of gas to its neighbors, as well as Europe.  Israel will no longer need to import  coal or gas for its power. Danon “hopes that Israel’s cutting edge technology  companies will find a way to get it off the use of oil to power its  cars.”  His aim is to “have  the tech able to transform the countries fleet of cars to electric power and not  have to import a drop of oil, since they will have an abundance of electric  generation.”
Danon calls Israel a “start up country” because it is  home to so many high tech companies. A perfect blend of a country with leaders  willing to aggressively pursue energy independence because they know that is the  key to a country’s national security and economic security.  But also with leaders wise enough to allow its private sector to provide  the technology, intelligence and know how to achieve breakthroughs to harness  this energy independence.
Perhaps America’s leaders can learn from this and watch  how energy independence will improve the standard of living for all of the  citizens of this country.

At present we need to continue to go nuclear to power the grid as we become energy independent. We have enough coal to last life times, let’s use it. We have enough energy in the ground to even excede that. Sure we need to develope alernative energy sources. We have the technology. We just need to reward those who would and can develope them. There have been indiviules in the past (many years ago) design electric engine using reverse locic of sorts. Got a grant of some amount. (sizable amount). BUT, the fear of our government and oil companies lead to the return of the full grant. Reason being he wanted his idea to be his and not ours (the government & his). If the government has any part possesion in anything, no one has any say in it anymore.Cronieism in government must come to an end!!! In November vote for America, the land I love. If we don’t like the way things are now, we can’t expect better or different results if we continue doing what we are doing. I have no choice but to vote for The Romney Ticket. I will be okay no matter what, but I also want my children and grandchildren to be okay as well. THEY WILL NOT BE IF WE CONTINUE ON THE WAY WE ARE HEADED!!!!!

We should be using our own energy and giving our energy money to American companies instead of giving our money to our enemies to use to destroy us. I wonder if thats the plan?

It’s all part of Obama’s re-distribution strategy.

The Obama policy is stated as”All of the above”. He wasn’t lying. He really believes it. A writer for Goldberg’s column,Bert P., stated what Obama says is that Obama is for all above ground energy such as wind and solar but not for coal, oil and gas. It has been obvious that Obama is against US oil and gas drilling and production. He has gone out of his way to reveal this when he gave Brazil billions so Brazil could drill for oil. Then Obama has the guts to tell them that he would purchase their oil. How many US jobs did that produce? ZERO. The saddest part of this policy is that the lame stream media didn’t even question the policy or criticize it. It is time for the public to wake up and see Obama for what he truly is. Incompetent or a traitor and definitely not a leader.

Vote the Senators out too- they have been blocking progress long before Obama.
Get rid of agencies like EPA for creating “regulations”- Regulations are laws and Congress is our lawmaking body.

sothis is what it has come down to…….can america FOLLOW isreal? AMERICA IS NO LONGER IN THE LEAD?? THANKS TO MR. OBAMA

The only way America can ever hope to emulate what Israel is doing, energy wise, is if Romney wins the election and the American people ensure that he lives up to his promises. We have 200 years of coal reserves that Obama is basically shutting down, because it offends the environmental wackos and the left that want “America to pay” for being the successful. The same holds true for natural gas, oil, and shale oil. All of which, due to fracking and modern horizontal drilling techniques, would make America nearly energy independent within 5 to 10 years, if we’re finally serious about having an intelligent energy policy.

Instead Obama and the left focus on the least efficient, most costly means of energy creation, namely solar and wind energy, to the practical exclusion of all else. Neither solar or wind will ever, in the next 50 years, be able to supply the amount of reliable, cheap power a modern economy needs to prosper. We’re not talking about solar to power a house or wind to power 200 or 300 homes. We’re talking about being able to power our cities and their surrounding suburbs on a consistent basis 24 hours a days, 7 days a week.

From a technical perspective, there is no technology available now or on that timeline horizon, that would allow for the necessary storage capability of hundreds of millions of megawatts of power per day to run our modern cities at night when solar arrays cease to function (no light, no power) or when there isn’t enough wind to keep enough of the wind turbines functioning at optimum power output. At best, these two technologies may supply 5 percent of our total needs over the next 10 years, if we’re lucky and throw hundreds of billions of dollars more at grand projects to build solar farms the size of small states or wind farms of thousands of turbines anchored off shore. That’s not a rational use of the limited financial resources we have in this country.

all of us need to pay attention to Gen 12:3,; because it’s not rocket science why this country is going down,
according to God’s Word, the best source, our treatment of Israel is why we’re going down. Obama treats Netanyahu
like a flea bitten mangy dog, and so all of us pray the price.

We need to pray, and ask others to pray, that God will help us to restore the U.S. to the great country that she once was. We need to pray often throughout each day.

We need to set good examples with the way we’re living our lives, adhering to the religious values upon which this country was built.

We need to treat all we encounter with courtesy and respect.

Simply, we can best win recruits to our point of view and put our best foot forward by being the best we can be as good Americans.

Since we don’t have much time, we need to bombard heaven with prayers and bombard the Internet and newspaper editors with factual reasons why Romney should be elected. Above all, we need to take the high road, as the lower one is already jammed.

It is time for each of us to do our part–contact at least 10 people you know and get them committed to voting for Romney and committed to contact 10 people they know and get them committed to Romney.Romney’s base of supports would increase 10 fold! He needs every individual we can get to vote for him. I believe him when he says he is committed to America and our best interests. I hope all who read this also believes and will help. We can do more by contacting 10 people than by contributing $10 to his campaign.

Come on you patriots, we are moving a lot of people from aarp to amac, lets see if we can move some closed minds from obama to romney.

The article seems to say that “next year” Israel will be energy-independent and meanwhile depends on imported oil and gas. Obama has no such plans, but wants eagerly to send money to help Brazil become a more dependable supplier of oil to the U.S.A. than is Venezuela, now controlled by a Communist dictator. What is it about counting chickens before they are hatched? It seems I’ve heard something about that. Only if we get Obama out of office can we hope for conditions to improve in the U.S.A. or for our government to help Israel. Only if Israel is still at peace is it likely they’ll be able to access their gas. Meanwhile they surely need support and help from friends.

The reason the left has grown so much is they have infiltrated the entire education system. If you could hear the anti American things taught in most schools these days it would astonish you. We need to remove political biased teaching from our educational system or America is done for. When the left becomes the majority, we will cease to exist and islam will take our resources. Much of our resources that were denied mining by the EPA for American Mining Interests are now being mined by Foreign Conglomerates. What was environmentally “sensitive” and could not be mined is now being strip mined, shipped to the west coast and transported overseas. The USA is receiving NOTHING for the mineral resources and the claim is it created jobs. The jobs created are jobs that help loot our resources and the mineral resources are creating many jobs in other countries with our resources. If we had mined our own resources we could have kept the jobs here. The EPA is staffed with traitors. I was denied mining rights in the 70’s for land that is public and is now being mined by foreign groups. The largest gold, silver and copper reserves in the world, found by our own satellite systems are going to foreign nations.

In 2011 we shipped more oil and refined gasoline overseas than we imported. We are already energy independent, despite the politicians on both sides. Several states have booming business because of drilling on private lands. The whole country could be sharing in the boom if the Feds would get out of the way.

Obananna and his cronnies at the epa and the ftc should pay attention to instead of ignoring Isreal, they might just learn something.
