In recent months, a handful of prominent liberals have displayed growing unease at the increasing totalitarianism of the far left—most notably in response to their attacks on free speech, censorship of their political opponents, and a series of media-contrived manipulations intended to sway public opinion. This under-the-radar development could be the first sign that, after years of monolithic uniformity among the left-wing news media, corporate leaders, and cultural elites, the unity of the progressive movement might be—at long last—starting to crack. Assuming the left’s authoritarian streak continues, the progressive movement may soon find that its once-loyal defenders are jumping ship.
For the evidently small number of figures on the left who still value independent thought, this summer’s Mar-a-Lago raid appears to have served as a “crossing the Rubicon” moment that revealed the disturbing extent to which the radical left will go to harm its political adversaries and seize control of every American institution. Though most of the media’s attitude was predictably celebratory following the raid, several high-profile voices on the left warned of the ways it could backfire and further reveal the totalitarian inclinations of the progressive movement.
Talk show host Bill Maher, for instance—an outspoken leftist who for much of his career has toed the line of the Democrat Party—suggested the raid was a “political nightmare,” stating that it is “saving Trump politically” and making him into a “martyr” figure for conservatives. Maher’s statements are particularly significant given his well-established pattern of anti-Trump commentary and considering that the bulk of his audience is partisan Democrats. Notably, Maher has also been critical of the left’s embrace of radical gender ideology and their general “snobbiness.”
But Maher’s statements only scratch the surface of the rising resistance to the Mar-a-Lago incident from a small but influential group on the left. Shadi Hamid, a fellow at the Brookings Institution, a prominent liberal think tank, has also sounded the alarm. In mid-August, he tweeted that he doesn’t “see any plausible scenario where [the raid] ends up being good for American democracy,” stating that there’s “no reason to celebrate it,” going on to mock “liberals’ sudden, unquestioning trust in law enforcement and the FBI” after years of left-wing skepticism toward federal law enforcement. “What grates when a large number of liberals talk about Trump is the unusual mix of utter self-righteousness and blatant hypocrisy,” he wrote. “Those cheering the Trump investigation on would never apply this same prosecutorial approach to their own side.”
Hamid’s concerns were echoed by notable left-wing journalist Sasha Stone, once a self-proclaimed “true blue Democrat” who “voted faithfully” for Democrats “in every election”—including for Biden in 2020. Following the raid, however, she published a widely read blog post entitled “The Raid that Red-Pilled America,” in which she argued that “Americans have seen, maybe for the first time, that our government has become too powerful, too punitive, and too authoritarian in crushing dissenting voices and outsiders who challenge that authority.” She continued: “I am not MAGA. I am not a Conservative… But the red pill is a powerful one. Once you find your way out of the bubble of hysteria on the Left, it feels more like normal life.”
In another widely read piece published this month by the Claremont Institute’s American Mind, a writer who goes by the pseudonym “Liberal Guy” had a message for the magazine’s intellectual conservative readership: “I want to offer my sincerest apologies for your present illiberal treatment by the Democrats, especially progressive Democrats. Your rights as Americans are being violated—in speech and in deed and in broad daylight. If present trends continue, it’s not going to end well for America.”
The writer continued with wise advice for conservatives: Leftists, he said, “are provoking folks who see themselves as American patriots so that they can cast them as domestic terrorists. Don’t take the bait.”
But indications that progressives’ grip on the prevailing narrative may be loosening extend far beyond just the August Mar-a-Lago raid. In one of the more well-known instances of a major public figure distancing himself from the mantras and orthodoxies of the far left, Tesla CEO Elon Musk—a onetime icon of blue America—famously launched a bid to purchase Twitter, stating that the platform’s failure to “adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy.” But he took his comments much further in May, declaring the Democrat Party to be “the party of division & hate” and vowing to vote for Republicans going forward. “Unless it is stopped, the woke mind virus will destroy civilization,” he wrote in a May tweet.
Though progressives of course still wield a disproportionate amount of power in public life, there are signs that even for their own supporters, they have overstepped. Hopefully, that realization will grow rapidly in the months ahead.

The few voices mentioned are trying to help the hard left not abandoning it. They realize the left needs a slight course correction. This does not mean these few critics are seriously questioning the whole paradigm. Libertines get worried when they see evidence of totalitarianism because they know they’ve poed people in the past and dont wish to disappear at four am one foggy morning. Comics especially need to worry that someone they once ridiculed might end up minister of truth.

The extent of this totalitarian rhetoric is no more red vs blue. It’s good vs evil, it’s American vs anti-American. The people who voted for the empty suit in power better wake up real soon and not vote party but issues. It’s the rich vs the poor/ middle class. The people who blindly voted for this administration and any of the leftist Senators and Representatives should be waking up to what is happening and move back to the center line if they want to continue to be free. American leadership has become the laughing stock of the world and every day we move closer to destruction and economic disaster. Gas prices are increasing again and very quickly I might add while the cost of everything is continuing to go up. The more the tax and spend party continues in its current path, the closer we come to the end of America as we have known it. We have an incredibly large portion of the people in the United States that are politically throughly ignorant. I mean completely vacuous. This has nothing to do with red, blue, black, white, purple or green (although it is no doubt true that the greatest proportion of airheads are politically blue).
My point here is that those (a very large quantity) that voted for Brandon only because they did not want Trump still continue with minds that are devoid of any synaptic processes. When asked they still reply: “I voted for Brandon because I could not vote for Trump because of how he is/how he acts with….” And when asked for an example of this supposed diverse behavior from Trump their reply is “You know” and are virtually unable to provide any examples (other than maybe it is because the mainstream media said Trump is bad).
These same people (the ones with vacuous minds) are likely close to a minimum of 50% of the voting population. While our nation is literally crumbling in front of us all, they really have no clue. It is kind of like getting guns out of the hands of mentally unstable people. How do we do that?
These are the people that the true patriots need to reach. How?
My guess is that, since they are likely blindly watching deceitful duplicity of mainstream media sources, we need to reach them there. Nine of them are here in AMAC. Step out of our own reality and reach down to their level to explain the veracity of the nation.

The problem we have starts with the schools. The schools don’t need tobmake a profit, sre not responsible for the quality of their product and do not have to manage any kind of real budget.
We need 100% school vouchers. That will change all of that and make schools competitive

Liberalism is, by its own definition, never content with anything that has already been tried and tested. It always seeks change, no matter how destructive. Occasionally, it stumbles onto something good that works, but generally it is just too aggressive, too disconnected and too uncaring for the accomplishments of past generations to temper its own ambition. Ultimately, it always turns powerful civilizations into decadent whore-houses that collapse under their own weight.
The democrat party has become the party of groomers, puberty blockers, fiscal irresponsibility, crime and criminals, no sovereign borders (unless it’s Ukraine) and fealty to the CCP. How anyone can standby and endorse this ilk with their vote, should be imprisoned for Treason. This is intentional sabotage funded by the likes of Soros, to foment corruption and division. We will have to curb this behavior with force, lethal if necessary.

When I see Italy vote in a new conservative leader it gives me hope. Just like the hope I got when the brits wanted out of the EU. We got Trump. We are not so different. People all over get tired of the crazy left and have to pull us back to the center….all over.
Bad read on the Mar -A-Largo raid. Many of us seniors served in the military or government. Trumps conduct of safeguarding national security information was reckless and irresponsible all through his Administration and after. Three people – Trump, Harris, and Biden – all unfit for the office of the President.

Don’t break out the champagne just yet. The Left have their intramural squabbles as any group do, but they are remarkably resilient. If they weren’t, they wouldn’t have been able to take over every important institution in the former USA. They do have fragmentation in their future, but that will only occur when whites are reduced to a permanent and persecuted minority.
After Watergate, to protect the public from the appearance of corruption, The Federal Election Campaign Act abridged the freedoms of speech press and assembly of the regulated class: candidates for Federal Office, political parties, PAC’s and individual citizens.
Corporate media were exempted from campaign laws because government could not infringe on their 1st Amendment rights. However, if the 1st Amendment defined the institutional press as the definition of press, there would be no need to exempt them from campaign law:

if candidates and political parties have to pay for time/space in the media, then editorials have political value. The “press exemption” insures the corporate voice retains more influence than the voice of the electorate.
To restore equal rights to citizens, federal candidates, political parties and PACs “We the People” should ask our representatives in the Senate and House to revisit the “Free All Speech Act of 2014.”

A BILL
To apply laws that restrict the political speech of American citizens to media corporations.
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Free All Speech Act of 2014 .
2. Application of laws that restrict the political speech of American citizens to media corporations
(a) In general
Any law that restricts the political speech of American citizens shall apply with equal force to media corporations, such as the New York Times, the American Broadcasting Company (ABC), the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), and the CBS Television Network.
(b) No application to American citizens if application to media corporations found unconstitutional
To the extent that the application of a law to a media corporation under subsection (a) is found unconstitutional, such law shall have no force or effect with respect to American citizens.
