Hearing on “Pathways to Universal Health Coverage”

amac membership Americans refuge core values country great equality act health careThe House Ways and Means Committee is holding a hearing on June 12 to discuss pathways to universal health coverage. Medicare for All (i.e., socialized medicine) would be a disaster. Ask any OLDER person in the U.K., Canada or other countries with national healthcare plans. They work well for people who are young and healthy. They run out of money before each year is up. Seniors must wait long times, and often die waiting, for all but emergency surgeries. Folks who have enough money for private pay medicine in those countries fare much better. This is NOT THE SOLUTION for America. Getting our vast welfare system eradicated by pushing education and jobs IS. Also, regulating Rx drug prices and publicizing doctors / hospitals /laboratories / dentists / eye & hearing professionals, etc. capabilities, available services and prices — so people can shop around, is a good solution to lower prices through free market competition. Drug company and other price gougers are EVIL.
