Don’t Believe the Spin, Republicans Had a Better Election Night Than Democrats

DeSantis

What exactly happened on election day? All over the media, every platform, you are being inundated with crackerjack gaslighting telling you the Republicans got walloped and the Democrats had the best night ever. GOPers are clutching their pearls lamenting that the red wave didn’t happen. Forget there were victories. Convince yourself everything is Super Awful MAGA Bad Bad. “Why, why?!” they cry. “Because TRUMP” is the answer whispered from the corner of the room. “Because TRUMP endorsed people who didn’t win” growl shadows that look strangely like Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, the Lincoln Project’s professional trolls, MSDNC, the New York Times, along with others afflicted with Chronic Trump Derangement Syndrome.

It’s very strange for a party that is on the precipice of winning the House and very possibly the Senate to be moping around as though they’ve seen Four Horsemen galloping through that fluffy cumulus cloud, heading right for them. The truth of the matter is victories and defeats offer important lessons, and ours are allowing just enough time for the Republicans to get their act together for the 2024 presidential race.

Meanwhile, they’ll have to suffer with control of the House, the flipping of a purple and nerve-wracking Florida into a beautiful red courtesy of Ron DeSantis, and inroads made in multiple states including deep-blue New York. Lee Zeldin’s bold and clear campaign was key, helping the GOP win several New York congressional seats and contributed in large part to the ability of the GOP’s likely taking of the House.

Significantly for the GOP, and therefore generally ignored by the mainstream media, is the defeat of Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, one of the most powerful Democrats in Congress, by Republican Mike Lawler. It’s a bad night for Democrats when the man who is responsible for getting Democrats elected gets himself fired. Are the Democrats moping around? No. They’re pretending they won a basketful of puppies.

I appeared on Fox News’ “Outnumbered” the day after the election and noted that Biden and Gang will completely misread the election and vow to stay their catastrophic course. After all, they haven’t cared about the disastrous polls for the last two years, why would they care now?

As predicted, just a few hours after that program Biden held a press conference wearing a smug grin as though he just received a mandate as opposed to having lost the House. Asked by an AP reporter what he will do differently during the next two years considering the staggering poll numbers showing Americans by a 70-80 percent margin believe America is on the wrong course. His answer? “Nothing, because they’re just finding out what we’re doing,” Biden responded.

Oh, we’ve known for quite some time what they’re doing, every time we go to the grocery store, get gas for the car, or have to remember to put the pepper spray in our pocket before heading out, we know. Biden’s disconnected attitude does not bode well for the economy, their war on energy will proceed, and our enemies will continue with their tyranny and looting of the world.

And what about that loss of Oz to Fetterman? Yes, it was shocking, but not so much when you know what transpired. It wasn’t because Trump endorsed a flawed candidate but in part because close to 50 percent of the Democratic mail-in vote had already been cast prior to the debate which was a debacle for the stroke afflicted Fetterman. When the stroke first happened, the Fetterman campaign misled the public by insisting it wasn’t severe at all. They then delayed the debate until the majority of early voting had taken place.

This is an example of the structural voting problem expanded by Democrats using COVID to implement and extend vote-by-mail and early voting schemes. This is an issue impacting the entire the country and which the GOP must work aggressively to remedy.

Another longtime GOP issue is the belief that they can win simply because the Democrats are so awful. Arguably, while voters rejected the Democrats’ extremism, they didn’t vote overwhelmingly for Republicans because there was no widely articulated statement of values, plans, and intentions if elected. Trump was embraced in large part because he had clear plans about the issues and wasn’t shy in explaining how he would get things done. Like Trump, DeSantis delivered on promises, was unafraid, and secures his work in the conservative ideal.

As long as those afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome see everything as an opportunity to get Trump, they will never address the voting infrastructure changes the Democrats have been installing for years. GOP bosses keep saying it’s time to move on from Trump. Maybe it’s time to move on from the GOP bosses who couldn’t (or wouldn’t?) turn the national rejection of the Democrats into an actual red wave. Senate Leader Tim Scott has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

One of the most exciting and promising events of the election was the red wave of Florida. Ron DeSantis and Florida Republicans were rewarded for delivering unapologetically conservative governance for the people of that state. It is truly a template for a national Republican Party which can benefit from seeing what governing for the people really looks like.

As far as that zero-sum argument out there that DeSantis is the new, better Trump and both cannot exist on the same planet at the same time– that’s nonsense. Both men represent the power and promise of a better and safer America. Our path forward involves all our talent, which includes both of them. A Trump/DeSantis ticket for 2024 term would be unbeatable. DeSantis can then handle 2028 and 2032. Undoing generations of Democratic Party vandalism to this country will take several cycles, a generation. It’s going to take discipline, patience, focus, and all our America First talent working together to overcome the corruption and malevolence of a cancerous bureaucratic establishment.

Red wave? Not even. Red ripple? Perhaps, but in my view what we got was a long tall glass of purple piss.

Don’t kid yourself, the socialist/democrats are still nervous and biting their fingernails. This “election” is not over. The socialist/democrats have proven they cheat and the results are now being seen. These evil tyrants are on their last legs. Just watch what God will do.

Need to eliminate voting by mail and voting machines, and require proof of US citizenship to vote!

Part of our problem is we must push all like minded people we know to get out and vote. Also, inform yourselves on “down ticket” offices. In our county we had a 27% of registered voters turnout for this election. My original thought was that since the US House man was near certain, many people just didn’t bother. However according to past off-year elections, 27% percent was considered a relatively high turnout here for a non-presidential year race. For comparison, our county had an over 80% turnout for the presidential race. Yet of the most important races are in non-presidential years. In this case the most important race or our district was a school board race. These races rarely get much notice, but they should. For this one, the two candidates were near opposite. The right man won, but not by much and that part of the ballot was even passed over by many because of lack of campaigning. Also, here and probably in many other places, school board races are “non-partisan”. That may be listed as such on the ballot, but in reality not be case for the perspective of the candidates. READ UP AND LEARN about the down ballot races. That is where the “long game” is being fought. By the way, 27% percent was considered a relatively high turnout here for a non-presidential year race. By contrast, our county had an over 80% turnout for the presidential race.

Trump does not and did not need to run for senate (I assume you mean federal not state) in order to become speaker of the house. The House of Representatives simply need to pick him. It is not in his hands and it is not going to happen. Other than that I agree with your statement. However, you left out many facts. All the precincts that have not for what ever reason finished counting ballots or that had issues of any kind, were/ are all Democrat controlled. What about the trail of evidence in the amazing, miracle found, “Ballot Drops”? Where were they found and how do we know some one did not already go through them to pull out Republican ballots?

Ballot harvesting…election weeks? The longer they drag this out and ballot harvest, the GOP has lessening chances. Simple really. Recall stalin? “it matters not who you vote for, what matters is who counts the votes.”

What I suspect…the Republican leaders infighting due to others believing that only those to fit their narratives should run as Republicans. There are people who are conservatives but not under the Republicans’ umbrella for whatever reasons. We need to reach those people with the right message and not condemn them. Also, we have had for years the destruction of our educational institutions with Marxist-Communist rhetoric, and now these people are between the ages of 21 to 35 potential voters. Instead of explaining the truth behind Roe v Wade, the Republicans just did not give a viable explanation that the decision by the SCOTUS was correcting the wrong done fifty plus years ago. So, I am left asking myself, why all the infightings going on within the Republican Party? Why are we wasting our efforts on decimating other conservatives? But most importantly, why are the opposing party sabotaging their children future via indoctrination, crimes, and drugs? Why do people professed to be Independent when they are like sheep following the Democrat Party. Conservatives and Republicans must weigh on these issues and why they were not able to reach those who cannot shake off the dusk of the progressive liberal communistic ideologies. We are an exceptional Republic because of our Constitution and Bill of Rights. We must let those words ring true for all, but we cannot placate to our dislikes of people who share our conservative values, but we belittle them or not support them because they fall outside the GOP Establishment. This must change for the Georgia run off or we stand to lose. Infighting will not help!!!

I am missing something… the vast majority of people I talk to are not happy with the way this country is going…. yet there was no clear mandate here. Democrats, the Woke and Socialists were not stopped.

Forget the spin ? What am I missing ? The dims control the senate and are close to retaining the
house. There’s no spin here. The fact is that the Repubs ( and I am one) got their butts kicked.
This article should be titled “What did we Learn?” Anything ? Based on the current repub “strategy” the Dims will gain 100 votes in the House in 2024.

the “swamp” lauat us again and gave us what they wanted, not what we want. NEVER GIVE UP! we must demand paper ballots and photo IDs and nothing less! we clearly need Trumps help! what voters say in key states showed where the swamp needed to put their thumb on the scales to keep them in office. if we give up now it will mean our lives, literally.

Historically, the DemocRats are much more skilled and motivated to rig elections … and that has been the case for well over a century of this Nation’s history. And it will NOT change until the elections are conducted under conditions that make rigging near impossible. And sadly, this can only be done with Constitutional amendment authorizing Photo ID voter cards showing addy, SSN, & DOB and punchout spot when if used …. a virtual MUST.

“A Trump/DeSantis ticket for 2024 term would be unbeatable.” Talk about delusional spin. Baby Trump is in full meltdown after his election dead enders all lost. Trump is completely toxic and Reps should stop protecting him and let law enforcement do their job and take the Trump trash out.

Trump has burned too many bridges (including DeSantis) and turned off too may on the right and for those on the Left they will totally energized to fight any Republican. Even in this election Trump was a major part of what was up for vote. In NJ Republicans ran orange signs all over “Vote Republican!”… a Liberal organization took and paid for and put out all over 2 counties the same orange color and format signs reading “Vote Republican! Bring Back Trump!” – the obvious thought being a threat of Trump caused many people to then vote against Republicans.
Don’t get me wrong, I think he was the best thing to happen to our nation, but he should not run. I would love to see him clean house with the Republican Party – Mitch has to go!

Once again Conservatives and Moderates in states like Pennsylvania Arizona Nevada and Georgia decided to vote for Schumer and the Biden Harris Schumer Pelosi Agenda. We will have 2 more years of Biden Devicivness and 2 more years of inflation fueling spending . And things wont get better. When todays 16 and 17 year olds are added to the voting roles we will move further toward socialism. The impact of the pro Abortion ,pro socialist anti free speech/ Pro woke generation is clear and getting stronger. And the voters in Arizona Georgia Pennsylvania and Colorado can take the credit.

When I was teaching in college back in the 70s, the Left has already started their ‘long game’ of taking over Public Education. I wrote to the GOP on many occasions and to individual Congressional Representatives. There were no responses and as far as could see no effort by the GOP to stop it. We now see the results, can it change? I see no road to change in efforts to win when the GOP keeps putting “Good Old Boys” up for Control positions.

My Fellow Americans: I attended New York City Public Schools in the 1960’s. In my opinion, that is when the Left Wing, Liberal, Democrat, Socialist Communism agenda began. The Students for a Democratic Society, Black Panthers, Weather Underground and Yippies influenced the radicalization of the Democratic Party. Presently the Democratics use ANTFA, and BLM as their militant groups, which they never denounce. Thank You.

back then, when you said something about socialism taking over the response was ALWAY, “never gonna happen in ‘merica. Looks like that was wrong just like today!
when conservatives tried to shut down marxist, socialist, communist dissent we were told, “this is a free country, they have a right to speak too”. now that they are gaining control you will see that the right to free speech will on be allowed if it agrees with the komissar’s ideas.
notice that “USEFUL IDIOTS” DONT GET IT!!!

BS. As a repub I know when my butt has been kicked. and it was. get real. The Dims held the senate. The last 14 House elections to be announced over the past 2 days have ALL been democrat. In 2 years the Repubs will lose 100 house seats. The Repubs have no program. They ( we ) are LOSERS .

Trump needs to learn how to approach people/ speaking. He’s out of hand and turning people away with his nastiness. He needs to join in with DeSantis + stop bashing him. He needs to befriend him. He lost in 2020 because of his negative attitude. He was a good President but needs to learn How to speak constructively and stop bashing everyone.

while I agree with trump needing to tone it down that is not why he lost. HE LOST BECAUSE THE COMMUNIST PARTY CHEATED ACROSS THE BOARD AND GOT AWAY WITH IT JUST LIKE THEY HAVE GOING BACK MANY YEARS JUST TO A MUCH GREATER DEGREE. JFK only got elected because they cheated in Illinois!

How can anyone arrive to a conclusion when they’re still counting the votes, here it is 4 days later, and the last I heard, we’re still losing. There’s a good chance we might even lose the house.

we will, I saw it happen in washington governor’s race back in 2004. the republican won by a sizable margin but for the next 3-4 weeks “new votes” kept turning up in favor of christine gregorio until they had enough votes to declare her the winner. miraculously, no more “new votes” turned up after that. AND THE REPUBLICANS DID NOTHING ABOUT IT!!

IF THESE ELECTIONS ARE NOT REPAIRED, THE MACHINES REMOVED AND DESTROYED, THE BALLOT BOXES REMOVED AND BALLOT ROLLS CLEANED UP – WE MGHT AS WELL LIE DOWN AND GIVE UP AND LET THE ELITES AND WEF LEAD US AROUND BY THE NOSE. SOME OF US CHRISTIANS WILL HAVE TO BE IN CAVES LIKE IN CHINA OR CONTINUOUSLY BE PERSECUTED. THIS IS NOT WHAT GOD HAS WANTED FOR THIS NATION, BUT THE FREE WILL OF MANY WAS CATURED BY THE EVIL.

Dont be fooled. Republicans did pick up a few seats but failed in the big senate races and didnt pick up enough in the House. We had a chance to stop the Biden agenda. We failed because voters didnt look at the big picture and voted against Republican candidates that were not as good as they hoped.
