On behalf of the 2.3 million members of AMAC – Association for Mature American Citizens, including nearly 7,200 residing in OH-08, I write to offer our support for H.R. 3029 the Health Care PRICE Transparency Act.
As an organization whose membership is comprised largely of 50+ members, the rising cost of health care directly impacts AMAC members. We appreciate legislation like yours that resolves to place health care firmly within a free market environment.
Navigating the convoluted system of health care billing practices has only become more complex for the average American. Your resolution to amend the Public Health Service Act by providing for hospital and insurer price transparency equips citizens with the necessary tools to make clear decisions about their own health care while protecting their budget.
