Will Clinton’s ‘Molotov Cocktail’ Fire Up Bernie’s Base?

Hillary Clinton emails“Wow.”

That was the response of one longtime Democratic strategist when InsideSources shared Hillary Clinton’s latest comments about Senator Bernie Sanders. And with good reason.

In a new Hulu documentary, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee says of Sanders:

“He was in Congress for years. He had one senator support him. Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”

When asked by the Hollywood Reporter if her assessment of Sanders still holds, Clinton said, “Yes, it does.” When asked if she would endorse and campaign for Sanders if he wins her party’s nomination, Clinton answered, “I’m not going to go there yet.”

Wow, indeed.

Clinton’s comments, made public just days before the Iowa caucus, sparked an immediate reaction from political pros and the national media, much of it along the lines of “What is she thinking?”

“Hillary Clinton has the right to support or oppose any candidate she wants and every right to express that sentiment publicly,” said onetime Obama advisor Dan Pfeiffer.“But every Democrat should commit to supporting the nominee against Trump.”

James Oliphant, who covers politics for Reuters, tweeted: “So basically, Clinton’s interview was the equivalent of a drive-by Molotov cocktail as far as the Democratic race is concerned.”

Sanders attempted to deflect the attack with humor. “On a good day, my wife likes me, so let’s clear the air on that one,” he quipped during a break in the impeachment trial. In a statement to InsideSources, Sanders said that’s where his focus is. “My focus today is on a monumental moment in American history: the impeachment trial of Donald Trump. Together, we are going to go forward and defeat the most dangerous president in American history.”

Sanders’ grassroots supporters in the key early state of New Hampshire, however, were not so forgiving.

“If by ‘nobody’ [Hillary] means the 1 percent and the ruling class, she’s right,” responded New Hampshire state Rep. Sherry Frost, a Sanders supporter and outspoken progressive.

“I never liked her or trusted her,” said Conway, N.H. Dr. Becky Mulkern. “She wasn’t very popular in the Democratic party. I had a lot of friends who didn’t vote [in 2016] — even with Trump running — because they hated her so much.”

Mulkern was one of 50 New Hampshire small business owners, many of them women, who endorsed Sanders on Tuesday. “Hillary Clinton’s speaking for the corporate people, she’s certainly not speaking for me,” Mulkern told InsideSources.

In her Hollywood Reporter interview, Clinton called out Sanders for a campaign imbued with a sexist culture. “It’s not only him, it’s the culture around him. It’s his online Bernie Bros and their relentless attacks on lots of his competitors, particularly the women. And I really hope people are paying attention to that because it should be worrisome that he has permitted this culture — not only permitted, [he] seems to really be very much supporting it.”

Ironically, in a new Suffolk University poll released Tuesday, the top candidate among Granite State women was… Bernie Sanders. And he’s leading Warren among New Hampshire women in the Emerson poll released last week, too.

Granite State women supporting Sanders aren’t surprised –either by the polling, or by Hillary Clinton’s pushback.

“She’s a liar,” said Kate Goldsborough, a small business owner in Littleton, N.H. “The only thing I can think is that they’re desperate for the woman’s vote. I’m just disgusted. It makes me dislike her even more.”

After pressure from Democrats, Clinton issued a clarification: “The number one priority for our country and world is retiring Trump, and, as I always have, I will do whatever I can to support our nominee.“

The same day Clinton’s comments went public, the New Hampshire Youth Movement announced their endorsement for Sanders, saying he will champion their goals on the environment, social justice and, of course, gender equity. Dr. Mulkern is looking to the future as well.

“I’ll be devastated if he doesn’t win.”

The Democratic establishment, on the other hand, will be devastated if he does.

“….the environment, social justice and, of course, gender equity.” There is no environment issue; the climate always has and always will change and we can’t control it. Social justice means treating some differently under the law than others, and forced wealth distribution. Gender equity is meaningless and we already have all necessary laws against discrimination based upon gender (all 2 of them). Nice, winning platform.

They are all socialists. Bernie is just the only one that will tell you. We died in wars to protect freedom from both communist and Nazi socialism. Now “Americans” that have not learned history and others that have and love the power trip are trying to repeat it. Glad I’m old but feel terrible for future generations if socialism becomes popular. Keeping my powder dry.

Bernie will never win the presidency!

I hope Sanders wins the Democrat nomination! What a slam dunk for us conservatives who support Trump! Most of these liberal Democrats are a real threat to our constitutional and moral values. They need to be beaten down and embarrassed in the November election.

The democrat party is in a civil war.The communists are taking over and even leftists like Hillary Clinton they are too far left even for her. She called Tilsi Gabbert a “Russian tool”. She has gone off the cliff along with Paul Ryans grandmother. Enjoy watching.

IMHO HiLIARy is firing up HER base, as she will enter the fray just before the Dumbocratic convention. ‘None of these bozos can win, and I almost beat Trump in 2016’ will be her war cry. ‘I’m doing this because YOU want me to’ will be another claim. Watch it, she’s baaaaccccckkk…..

They will turn out alright, to burn the cities. This should be fun to watch on TV. Lets see the MSM’s talking heads blame Trump supporters for that.

If reports some are promoting are so that does seem to be a growing trend. If the saying that people vote their pocketbooks is true it should go that way. The Bernie supporters should be particularly aggrieved, though I doubt any will vote Trump, but it should create a stay home factor.

Well the Bernie supporters know whom to blame when for the second time the DNC fixed the nomination process against him Ha,Ha,Ha. They can’t blame Trump for this one it’s all the democratic party leadership’s doing.

The USA is a Democratic Republic “not” a socialist” political party! Bernie is a political millionaire hack and runs for office and president to make money for himself never expecting to win the presidency but to be noticed by just enough socialist voters out there to make him wealthy.

Here she comes….
….and as if on cue, right before the Iowa caucus no less! Like a stubborn viral infection that just will not go away.

I am no fan for any demobratic candidate, but if you are still listening to the political rantings of this fiend as sound political advice especially after the shenanigans that she has put the U.S. taxpayers through for her entire nefarious life, then you are most assuredly part of the problem here in The Land of Free and the Home of the Brave!

Hillary ALSO tied Russian influence to Tulsi Gabbard, an Armed Services member for decades.
.
If, as most Democrats STILL do (like the Mueller Investigation NEVER happened) our Marxists, the Democrats, believe Trump is a Russian plant, then they should believe Tulsi is a Russian plant, no?
.
Never inderestimate the capacity of a Democrat to lie, or the cognitive dissonance of their useful idiot followers.

Young people come out in support of Bernie, and even Pocahontas, because they promise to give them all
“free stuff”, such as college tuition, free money, free medical care, etc. Don’t these naive and clueless adolescents know that by the time it is given, they will be on the other side, as tax payers, and will be responsible for paying for “free Stuff” that they never got.

I believe The Witch is getting ready for an end-run attack to steal the candidacy from this lame group of Marxist Dems. She has never gotten over her last defeat and wants revenge and is licking her chops like the mad dog she is. She was run over by the Obama theft machine even when she had the votes. She could return the favor on this group of numbskulls.

Many years ago, when I was schooling at a Philadelphia University, several professor’s said that the very rich did not want Americans to own their homes. They would make it illegal for us to own anything. Those who had a better position within the society, would have homes that were larger, great luxury, and larger grounds to use. Everyone would work on jobs according to their capability, and who they knew in the government. Of course the very rich would be running the country. Everyone else would be subject to rations, in everything they could afford to buy. Sounds so much like Communism, or at the very least, Socialism. Hard to believe that we are now on the brink of falling off the edge of the Earth.

I have never seen this much hate from politicians. All they are doing is running this country win the ground for nothing more than personal gain and their own egotistical prestige. I now understand fully the definition of “POLITIC”. POLI IS MANY AND A TICK IS A BLOOD SUCKING INSECT. They have no intention of helping anyone but themselves get richer. They ( those wanting to remove the good articles from the constitution) will drive this country to the point of being like Argentina who now has a murder rate in the 40,000 to 50,000 persons a year since they removed guns from the citizenry in 1971. If the people like Gloomberg, I mean Bloomberg, Pelosi and the ilk get their way, we will eventually have the same murder rate since only the criminals will have guns and use them to force their tyranny. Most of the politicians are millionaires and have no idea what the common man experiences. President TRUMP is in no way guilty of anything but doing what the limp wrist presidents own the past wouldn’t do for the protection of our country.
