Seattle is an urban city with thrilling attractions and is surrounded by the natural beauty of mountains, waters, forests and more. Downtown is filled with sightseeing, shopping, arts & culture, sports and family fun. Additionally there are plenty of restaurants, wineries and breweries to enjoy. Check out Pike Place Market on Saturday mornings during the summer months for fresh and specialty foods.

Music lovers can head over to the KeyArena at Seattle Center of the Tacoma Dome for concerts, events and more. Come for the Bumbershoot Festival that is taking place September 2-4 at Seattle Center for Seattle’s celebration of music, arts and creativity! Baseball fans travel to Seattle now and catch a home game for the Mariners at Safeco Field. Are you more of a football fan? CenturyLink Field is home to the Seattle Seahawks and with football season right around the corner, be sure to get tickets to a home game.

Whenever you travel to Seattle, stop at the city’s biggest attraction, the Space Needle. The Observation Deck and SpaceBase Retail Store are open every day from 10am until 9:30pm. You can also grab a bite to eat at the SkyCity restaurant while here.

School will be returning in just over a month and Seattle is home to the University of Washington. Visit the campus or check out the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture that is located on the campus. Other museums in the area include the Seattle Art Museum and The Museum of Flight, which showcases more than 150 historic air and spacecraft exhibits.seattle

If you are traveling with children the Family Fun Center is the perfect attraction. There’s go-karts, bumper boats, mini golf and more to keep the kids entertained. Other nearby attractions include the Washington State Convention Center for the business traveler and the Port of Seattle with Alaska Cruises running throughout September for leisure travelers.

Whether you are traveling solo, with family and friends, for business or for leisure, Seattle has popular attractions for everyone. From downtown Seattle, to Waterfront, Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square and more surrounding neighborhoods don’t miss out on all the excitement that Seattle has to offer.

The Tacoma Dome is in Tacoma, Key Area is in Seattle. You also missed out on the Frye Museum, a free hands on, great for kids. Also the Underground Tour, the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field, The International District (Chinatown), Ferry Rids ( you only pay one way if you are a walk-on), etc. Using public transportation is easy and free downtown. Lots to see and do.
Politically, Seattle is VERY liberal, be sure you bring a shopping bag as you are charged $0.05- 0.22 per bag (city ordinance)

Isn’t Seattle a “sanctuary city” ?????

I agree with Roger W. Additionally, Seattle is extremely anti-police and caters to the homeless, the gay community, and the radical ethnic groups. Downtown is becoming a cess pool and our mayor is as spineless as they come. Dont waste your money

DO NOT, for ANY REASON leave ANYTHING in plain sight in your vehicle while parked anywhere in Seattle. If you do, YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE PROWLED (read: broken into). If you are a tourist and have items you don’t want to get ripped off then PUT THE ITEMS IN THE TRUNK LONG BEFORE YOU GET TO YOUR PARKING SPACE. DO NOT, for ANY REASON, visit downtown Seattle after dark. DO NOT, for ANY REASON, talk to or give money to any of the many homeless people (read: bums). In a past life I documented MANY, MANY (way, way, too many) incidents from victims of either property crimes or crimes against persons who failed to heed the above advice. You have been duly warned.

Where did you document these incidents, Clark? Could I read them? Are they in some old text book somewhere?

I could not care less how nice it is Seattle. Conservatives should refuse to travel to liberal states on pleasure trips. We should not be giving our money to liberal scumbags who seek to destroy the Constitution and eliminate our rights. To Hell with Washington, California, Illinois, Oregon, or any other liberal state.

The Key Arena is in Seattle – the Tacoma Dome is in Tacoma.
