My husband and I met Rush in 1987. We invited him to lunch to see if he would be a Local Miss America judge. We knew he was talented however we were absolutely amazed on how he took on the task. He was right on task through the entire event.
He has only been a friend since then. Sincerely missed for conservative values.

1992. I first heard Rush. I rigged up a makeshift “radio holder” so I could listen to Rush while riding my bike (from 9 to noon, Pacific Time). My wife looked at it (and it was unsightly) and said: “Aren’t you just a bit overboard?” I replied: “You gotta listen to this guy.” And, she became the second fan in our household. A year or so ago I was talking to my 30-year-old daughter about him and she said: “I used to know what time it was by his distinct music, and especially when it was lunch time due to his daily sendoff.” Thanks to Rush we all learned “what time it was,” and it IS time to press on for the sake of the Republic. Rest in peace, Rush, rest in peace. Thanks to you, we got this!

Good for Congressman Banks and Senator Paul for trying to put election la where it belongs – in the State legislatures.
This is one of the most urgent things to fix. Without free and fair and trusted elections, we are nothing as a country.

They really are what you say as a whole. This is a disturbing set of events we have witnessed and experienced in our hearts and lives. We must ban together and fight off these thugs that want to turn America into a 3rd world tyrannical dictatorship run country. So sick that we are pandering up to China, giving money to them for the Wuhan laboratory of horrors that we just now emerged from the effects of them, and giving funds to the Iranians for who knows what. We need to pray every day and stand up for what is right. Do what we can do in our own circles in our own pathways and join in with those across the US that are of the same mind. I do not think there are very many people in the US that really want a dictatorship. I am betting they do not. We can prevail, but with God’s help,

We lost a Great conservative this last Wednesday. I have listened to Rush for many years As a retired truck driver I tuned in every day I could. I never met the man, but I would like to say he was a good friend. I am hoping that someone stands up like Mark Steyn and continues to bring us the voice that millions listen to every day. The Republican party has let the conservatives down. Mitch McConnell.Fred Upton, Peter Meijer, the seven senators that voted guilty on impeachment should be voted out of office. They believe in (my opinion) that the seventy-four million people that voted for Trump are enemies of the country. President Trump was taking their powers away and giving the power back to the people. I tried to comment yesterday on the coronavirus, for some reason AMAC would not print my comment they said waiting for approval. I’m sure they will approve, but it will be buried and no one will have a chance to read what my thoughts on this subject are. America is the only place in the world I want to live. I hope the youth of America will see what the far left is doing to their freedoms get involved and help stop the takedown of this great nation. Pray every day the far-left radicals fail. This includes Governor Cuomo of New York. Thanks.

I would like to quote someone that Rush would have quoted: Ronald Reagan “Freedom is but one generation of extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same.”

I too was listening to Rush when he first started. I have a Rush baby as well. I still say mega ditto to conservative speech and actions. It was so enjoyable and a learning experience to listen to Rush Limbaugh. Thank goodness we still have some of his family living. Perhaps one will pick up the gauntlet.

Well in New Jersey, Governor Murphy has enough smarts to lay low and keep his mouth shut hoping the media and the press don’t link him to doing the exact same thing Cuomo did. A slightly smnaller wgo than Cuomo, who thinks he is untouchable. So far that strategy seems to be sadly working, as only a few local newspapers have run a limited number of stories about how Murphy’s policies led to unnecessary deaths in nursing homes.

No idea about Michigan other than maybe she has caused so many unnecessary problems during the pandemic, that focusing on unnecessary nursing homes deaths won’t move the needle on public opinion any farther down for her.

For most of those long years when I worked for myself, Rush Limbaugh was within reach, via AM radio. In fact, he saved AM radio from extinction. The popular demand for his voice spawned hundreds of other conservative talk show hosts, television personalities, journalists, and even an occasional newspaper. We’re a rare breed in the media, and we have to fight every attempt from the left to silence us…just as our friend Rush would have wished.

I’m going to call my local station and ask that Rush’s 3 hours be filled with similar programming, not stupid music, paid infomercials, or some guy talking about retirement schemes, as some of our other AM stations have done in the past. There have been several people filling in for him; I’ll take any or all of them.

On Cuomo, does he ever use the personal pronoun, “I”? Ben’s clips of Cuomo all began with “You”, as if the governor had nothing to do with the misery he alone caused thousands of families in New York. Why is this man still standing behind a dais and not behind bars?

Last, on HR1, if this bill intends to skirt around Congress to make sure the dems can take every election (that’s what it will do), why bother have any representation at all? Rhetorical question, of course. Recently I wrote to Richard Burr, our U.S. senator, a “Republican”, and one of the 7 votes to impeach President Trump. In his form letter reply, he said he personally believed the trial was unconstitutional, but, because Congress operates on precedent, he felt he had to go along with the majority (that’s not precedent!), and impeach Trump. It sounds as though Burr agrees with the dems on HR1. Just awful.

Rush Limbaugh was unique in the conservative talk radio space. He was both an excellent educator, who could make any subject relatable to everyone, and also well-versed and accurate on what he discussed. He took the time to really understand the subject matter he discussed on his show. Which was refreshing. No endless, repeating of the same talking points over and over again to mask when a caller asked a really deep question, like so many other radio hosts rely on. He really made an effort to deliver a consistently excellent three hours each and every day. Of all the guest hosts that filled in for Rush, the closest to being consistently good is Mark Steyn.

On Cuomo, yes that is how he always talks. He comes from a well-connected political family and he always talks as if he is royalty addressing the peasants. Incredibly annoying isn’t it? He is also a well known bully used to getting his way in New York politics, so he is definitely on a massive ego-fueled power trip in his mind. Why is he not already behind bars? He’s a high ranking Democrat in an overwhelmingly Democrat (5 or 6 to 1 in terms of Democrat versus Republican voters state-wide) controlled state. His only real threat to power comes from the extreme far left of the Democrat Party, who now sense the time may be finally right for a fully committed socialist to replace him in Albany.

Lastly on HR1 / SR1, yes if that passes, which is a good chance given the make-up of Congress and the unlikely intervention of a John Roberts led SC to rule it unconstitutional for fear of attracting attention from ANTIFA or BLM, then the Republican party becomes an endangered species at the federal level. The White House would never have a Republican occupant again and the Democrats would quickly have overwhelming majorities in both houses of Congress forever.

People like Senator Burr are what is wrong with Washington. His job is to represent his constituents, not make decisions based on how he personally feels. His job was to act based on the four corners of what the Constitution says and not on what he personally considered Congressional precedent. If he can’t or won’t perform his job in that fashion, the people of his state need to replace him with someone who will. By the way, the excuse he wrote back to you was one of the most lame excuses possible.

I, too, like Mark Steyn and his jovial manner. He often adds a new perspective or some nugget of information that I hadn’t heard before. Brett Winterble (sp?) subbed for Rush a couple of times. He’s our local AM radio host, right after Rush, and worked for him for a decade. That 12-3 spot is a “big seat” to fill. Either of them could do it.

Exactly…lame…that’s why I chose that part of Burr’s reply. I think I’ll write back… Sadly, congressmen have lost the fine art of representing their constituents.

Many congressmen no longer fear being replaced during the primary process, so they care less and less about what their constituents actually want and more about “how to be a good club member” in the good old boys club of DC politics.

Definitely follow-up with another letter to Burr and tell him explicitly that his last response was completely unacceptable and why. Given he is on record as NOT seeking re-election in 2022, he may not care what his constituents think or want anymore. He may just be drawing a paycheck as he prepares to transition into a cozy private sector law firm where he can leverage his political connections for big bucks.

Most of the democrats Governors were lying to us about the corona virus that they were putting our elderly in danger for panicking the public by seeing more death to hold power for their party. Look Florida have more elderly people more than any state in the United States,but the Governor protected them with out even locked down the state during the pandemic season. He didn’t waste too much money to broke the government like my governor built in Chicago a new hospital at McCormick convention center with more than 80 million $ dollars and only 38 people corona virus cases visited for such a special treatments during that time. This was such a taxpayers waste of money for my Illinois residents by our Governor who was always blaming president trump for not getting enough staff for the corona virus. Most democrats Governors were trying to bankrupt the government during the corona virus season for blaming president trump to grope power from him. It worked for them though as they don’t care about the crisis the American people facing for at this time. They are happy and they are singing a song to open the country for business after all.Folks I am telling you that one morning they gonna tell us to stop using the masks not any more as they controlled the WH, Senate and the House. Wake up America and say enough is enough.

Just a note — the person, “Bob”, being interviewed referred to a bill being introduced by Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) as a positive alternative to HR-1. I believe he mis-spoke, calling it “HR-223;” I believe the correct bill number is HR-322.
