Would Mitt Romney Win Today?

JedediahVia Jedediah Bila at Breitbart News

Well, well, well. Look at what we have here.

CNN reports:

And an ABC News/Washington Post poll also suggests that if the 2012 presidential election between the President and GOP challenger Mitt Romney were held today, Romney would hold a slight lead in the popular vote.

So, if you’re still wondering why the Obama administration may not have been upfront about the fact that many would lose their health care plans thanks to Obamacare, you just might have your answer.

The only way to sell the law without significantly losing the public opinion battle was to convince people who were happy with their coverage that they wouldn’t have to make a change.

You can’t win reelection by admitting to people that you’re controlling their options or that you’re about to decide what’s “sub-standard” and what’s best for their health.

Health care is just about as personal as it gets. You think Americans would’ve liked being told that government knows what’s best for them? You think they would’ve liked hearing that their plans are “sub-standard” and government thinks they can do better? You think they would’ve fancied losing their coverage and their doctors? You think they would’ve rushed to vote for the guy who was ushering in that message?

Of course not. Many would’ve voted for the other guy. I know that. You know that. And give the Obama administration some credit–they knew that too.

I guess I owe Barney Fife an apology for not recognizing he wasn’t serious. I get very passionate about what’s going on in our country right now. I’ll TRY to lighten up but no promises I’ll succeed.

Barney Fife: I truly hope you don’t believe that. Really, the RACE CARD?

It’s not about color of skin. It’s about what Obama is doing to this country. He is a Socialist. Just take a look at his friends who kept a very low profile once he started campaigning. One is a Marxist, another is the leader of an Islamic organization & two are domestic terrorists involved in the bombing of a police station & murder of 1 or 2 policemen in the 60’s. Look up who his radical friends are. He didn’t want the people to know what his true beliefs were in his 1st term or they might not have voted him in for a 2nd one. This was brought out during the 1st campaign but Democrats/Liberals chose not to believe it. Unfortunately some will follow him blindly over the cliff.

What was it he said to the Russian president when he thought his mike was turned off? Tell Putin I’ll have more leeway after I’m re-elected or something to that effect. Take a look at who Obama favors in negotiations with Iran. It’s certainly not Israel. Think Putin could have some influence there or is he pulling the strings? I don’t buy this act that they don’t like each other. The U.S. Has had Israel’s back since the country was formed & I fear he is doing irreparable harm.

Obama has been lying to the American people from day one and his followers have lapped up everything he says as truth. He LIED about Obamacare. He knew there was a resolution by Kathleen Sebelius which would not allow people to keep their old insurance plans. That kind of resolution would have had to be approved from the highest office and was part if the plan when the law was drafted. The way the law was worded gave Obama an out in case he got caught in the lie.

Romney WAS the better choice of the 2 in 2008 but Obama was the choice of a LOT of very rich & dishonest Liberals who would not think twice about winning an election by fraud. He has close ties to Chicago. Need I say any more?

I can’t believe that there are that many complete idiots that would vote in an unamerican! I know there was a lot of fraud but at the same time a lot of selfish Godless no conscience people that don’t have a clue what they have done! I don’t see much of the general population but most of the people I rub shoulders with are still in shock at the results of Election Day! Please don’t send any more liberal democrats to Alaska! Doing all we can to get rid of our Rino Senator Lisa and our Obama yes man Begich!

I have always thought to myself that Obama did not run a clean and fair election. Too much fraud at the polls.

Jed,

I agree with you. But at the same time, Americans had enough to vote for Romney. They chose not to, possibly due to the Democrats constantly pushing the whole “he can’t connect with the middle class” label on him. I still do not understand how an upstanding, professional business leader from a self-made family fails to win election over a… community organizer? Of ALL the issues that America faced from 2008-2012, Obama decided to focus his efforts on changing healthcare? And THAT won him the election (among other factors)?

I try to go back over it in my head, and every time I put Romney vs. Obama, Romney wins hands down. He had the big business experience, he knew how to run a state and work both sides of the isle, and he was confident for the most part. Obama, Pelosi, Clinton, Reid… THESE people can improve the economy of America better than Romney can? I highly doubt it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICANS?

BrettD, as Rush called it afterward, “raging ignorance”. Completely nailed it. They once again voted totally on emotion.

And religious blindness. Conservative Christians refused to vote for a Mormon. And further screwed America’s future. Raging ignorance at its worst.

Some of the reasons Romney did not win is because he flip-flopped too much, did not answer the negative ads, did not go after Obama about Bengazhi in the debates, and too many people did not like his Mormon religion. Approximately, 5 million voters sat out the election.

There could be only one possible reason you would say such a thing: you are a racist ;)

Clean and honest elections have nothing to do with race, sir! You and everyone else should know that. Iif you don’t and would rather blame, then I am sorry for you.

Come on, PatO, look at his emoticon at the end of his comment. He’s kidding! Lighten up! Besides, it was anything BUT a clean and honest election. Read the news any since? All the voting fraud reports?
