Is this the end of women’s sports? We look to answer that question this week as Rebecca Weber welcomes University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines to the BFA Podcast. Gaines shares her firsthand account of having her dreams crushed while competing against a biological male in the sport to which she has dedicated her life. Adding insult to injury, Lia Thomas (who tied with Gaines and was formerly known as William) was awarded ‘Woman of the Year’ this year by the NCAA. Gaines details how she is redefining modern day feminism by standing up for the women across America who fought for Title IX over 50 years ago, only to see it torn down to avoid accusations of transphobia. Maybe the women should boycott.
I don’t agree with what is going on in the women’s sports or the whole transgender trash. However I can’t help but not care. My reason for this is the men had to let women join men’s clubs. The boys schools had to be open to females but when a boy tried to get into a girl school they cried and complained it would be the end of the school. They had to be let in the military and naval fighting forces. Women had to be let into the military academy’s. They even had to be let into the BOY scouts. And yet again when a mentally ill male wants to join a female sport the women all go crazy. look what they are doing to the sport. The poor girls don’t stand a chance and on and on. It could be stopped so easy with a change in the rules. Women keep getting them changed to get into men’s things they can change them to keep men out. Nope, I can’t feel sorry for them. But I DO NOT agree the men should be involved except to maybe coach or some other position, but not to compete. I don’t agree with the women being involved in men’s things either.
If a man can become a woman and play womens sports is “fair” why are there no transexual MEN playing in the NFL then?
Let the transgenders have their own team. They should not be allowed on womens teams. They still have male hormones, strength, etc. Very unfair to females.
Next thing you know, able bodied trans males (born XX) will demand to be included in the Special Olympics.
Years ago, the movie “Crocodile Dundee” showed Paul Hogan in a bar looking at what looked like a beautiful girl, and someone told him it was a guy; he walked over and put his hand up this pretender’s skirt to find out. Of course, I’m not advocating such crude behavior, but I do believe it’s got to be simpler than doing testosterone level checks. If a person has a penis, they’re out! as simple as that, and for those who have had their equipment removed, they’re still out. Why do I say that? because if they were “born” male, they have a bigger, more dense muscle configuration and larger frame than a woman giving them an unfair advantage. Like Rebecca said: “I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation” I’m so disappointed how our culture has rotted and deteriorated into such ugliness.
it seems just like they do with everything else, government give and than take away. women have been fighting for so long for their own sports. hell my generation along with my mother’s could be on sports teams on a very small scale and just for fun. but not in high school or to win scholarships to further their education. it was a good win for women and girls than these jerks with mental illnesses and medicine and government encouraging them in their bloody dumb thinking join women’s teams because they were to weak to be on their own male teams and they took, abused and governments allowed it. if I was a female today, I would boycott every team that have these weak make fools on the teams and let them compete against themselves. and if I was a institution, I would remove all scholarship in regards to these team or awards. years ago, people who thought they were someone else were put in institutions and treated but now medicine and others multiltate their bodies and feed them drugs so that you become more and more regretting it as an adult and killing yourselves. all for the money.
There is the NCAA,the SEC, AAU, and other associations for sports for men and women. Why not have a third category of sports for transgender athletes where they compete together. Again the genes don’t lie about who you are.
Thomas has perfected the art of gaining medals in swimming by cheating biological females of their natural skills and hard work. It’s extremely unfair and cruel to force biological females to compete against transgender females that are actually genetic males that have built-in extra endurance and strength. Transgender females actually went through male puberty — a physical advantage that stays with them for the rest of their lives. There is no logical or ethical reason to give transgender females so much of a preference over biological females in competitive sports. Cheating is cheating — plain and simple.
This is the democrats new America. Guys that cannot compete against their own kind beating up on women. But then again when you look at the democrats’ party the so-called women act like men and the so-called men act like women, so we know why the democrats did this. It’s time the women take back their sports by force and rid it of the democrats’ gutless vermin.

Well said, and men should not be allowed to compete in women sports at any level.
No! It is long past time for legislators to take a stand against co-mingling competitors of dubious gender, or orientation, and protect those whose gender has been properly identified at birth. There are sports appropriate for birth-males, for birth-females, and a new category for those artifically genderized can be created to provide competitive sports and arenas for their special circumstance—letting commerce decide its proper place in society. Perhaps a new colony should be created for them…somewhere.

Unless the woke change their minds immediately, a new League or Association should be created. A transgender league. That is the only way this is even remotely fair. If the woke think this would be unfair to transgender “women”, cough, then a new league for XX women should be created. Period.
but the trans don’t want a league of their own — they want to be “IN YOUR FACE”! and teach your children this is the new normal. This just has to be stopped PERIOD.

Since you will not post my comments, I see the same bias as liberal sites, such as Facebook (which I left) and Twitter (to which I never subscribed). And, I will recommend doing the same to my friends and family – most of whom are conservatives.
This type of insane nonsense will continue as long as society just keeps its collective mouth shut and goes along with whatever the left dreams up next in the name of equity and social justice. I think most of us here are old enough to know what would have happened say 50 or 60 years ago, if a biological male demanded the right to compete against women in swimming or any other sport at the collegiate level. I truly feel sorry for all the young, hard working women who spent years and years training to be the best, only to end up losing every single time. All so a male suffering from gender dysphoria and apparently feelings of inadequacy can get some some self gratification at their expense. Title IX has been reduced to a joke at this point.

This may be true. Conservative outlets are reporting that the democrats won where they won because of younger women and the abortion issue. I do not have proof of that, but that IS what the democrats were counting on.
You are correct. Women (as well as men) between 18 and 30 overwhelmingly voted for Democrats.
Males or transgender garbage do NOT BELONG in Women’s Sports just as Women or transgender garbage does NOT BELONG in Men’s Sports.

Calling anyone garbage is not helpful. I totally agree that no person with XY chromosomes should be competing in women’s sports, period. I feel sorry for any man who feels so ashamed and insecure that he cannot compete against his own sex. How miserable is that?
I cannot possibly feel sorry for any of these “men” who have to win and feel “adequate” by competing against women. Get a life and get help for your mental illness. I find them simply disgusting.
