Progressives Spent Decades Radicalizing College Students. Their New Target: Grade Schoolers

AMAC Exclusive

Earlier this month, in the span of less than a week, two California teachers were removed from their posts for openly attempting to indoctrinate their students in radical liberal ideology. Gabriel Gipe, an AP government teacher at a California high school, was caught on camera explicitly stating that his goal was to turn his students into “revolutionaries.” Meanwhile, Kristin Pitzen recorded herself gleefully declaring that she removed the American flag from her sixth-grade classroom and made her students say the Pledge of Allegiance to a Gay Pride Flag. Both of these incidents come on the heels of another case where a teacher was removed for calling her students’ parents “dumb” for being Trump supporters, going on to say that Trump “sucks” and is “a literal moron.”

As the novelist and James Bond creator Ian Fleming once wrote: “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.” While “enemy” may not be quite the right word for the fight we are in now, the pattern does prompt the question: After decades of targeting young people just as they leave their homes and enter college campuses, why have progressives suddenly begun indoctrinating younger and younger Americans?

For one thing, the former students of radical college professors have graduated and become educators themselves, taking over teaching colleges, school boards, and leadership positions in K-12 education. We are witnessing the consequences of a fully-radicalized generation ascending to positions of authority. In addition, the mainstreaming of the Black Lives Matter movement may have made left-wing educators feel they no longer had to keep their indoctrination mission under-wraps. Finally, the media has made a concerted effort in recent years to raise the profiles of activist children, paving the way for the idea that inculcating young people with leftist ideology was not just normal, but laudable.

Progressives may also be looking to target even younger potential voters in anticipation of changes to the electorate. As AMAC Newsline has previously reported, momentum is building among Congressional Democrats to allow people as young as 16 to vote – a move that would be all the more advantageous to Democrats if they can turn teenagers into “revolutionaries” before they learn how to drive.

Arguably the most ubiquitous example of the radicalization of our youth is the celebrity status of Greta Thunberg, a creation of the media. The child activist’s 2019 speech to the U.N. was noted, not for the revelations of her speech, but how young she was at the time she delivered it; a mere 16 years old. That same year, her Time magazine Person of the Year accolade aggressively emphasized “the power of youth.” This was an open call, encouraging younger and younger children to become left-wing activists, something that in more sane times in our history would have been considered wildly inappropriate.

Another example of this phenomenon is the March for Our Lives, led by the leftist child David Hogg, which became a central force in the movement to ban firearms in the United States.

As AMAC Newsline has covered extensively, by far the most unsettling and widespread attempt to co-opt the minds of America’s youth has come in the form of the Critical Race Theory-inspired curriculum now being pushed in K-12 schools across the country. A school in Virginia, for example, posted a video attacking cops for making spaces “less safe” for other students, while celebrating the Black Lives Matter protests that actually made spaces less safe for students. The school claimed this was an accident and not reflective of their educational standards; however, similar messages are central to the school’s curriculum.

In one of the most shocking examples of radical indoctrination, grade school students at R.I. Meyerholz Elementary School in California are actively being taught to rank themselves based on their “power and privilege.” According to documents provided by parents and a whistleblower in the school, students began their math class with a lesson on “social identities.” They create “an identity map, listing their race, class, gender, religion, family structure, and other characteristics.” With this information, the teacher then informs the third-graders that “the students live in a ‘dominant culture’ of ‘white, middle class, cisgender, educated, able-bodied, Christian, English speaker[s],’ who, according to the lesson, ‘created and maintained’ this culture in order “to hold power and stay in power.”

Educational plans like this are being implemented for children as young as two years old.

Meanwhile, statistics show that American students are falling behind their global peers in core subjects like math and reading. With a central focus on Critical Race Theory, it appears that the fundamentals of education are being outright ignored if not actively dismissed. By denying these children a strong foundation in mathematics, science, history, and other core studies, progressive-minded teachers and school boards are effectively denying their students opportunities to succeed and thrive in the real world. As they fall behind year after year, they will likely never achieve the educational milestones necessary to realize their own American Dreams.

A nation’s children are the pride and hope of its people. Since the founding, Americans have worked hard to make their country the greatest in the world precisely because they hope to one day leave their children a better place to call home. Now, progressives are trying to weaponize the country’s youth against America’s traditional principles, employing them as the foot soldiers in their crusade against American institutions. Conservatives would be wise to recognize and stamp out this threat before it is too late, lest the schools that they pay for become nothing more than re-education camps for leftist causes.

I spent 25 years in public education as a teacher, elementary principal, and associate superintendent of human resources. During those years parental input has become less in less. Educational decisions have been taken from the local level and now mostly resides in the state capital and Washington D.C. This has allowed curriculum mandates to include many deviate social influences. So much so that public education has become more of a socializing institution than an educational enterprise. This, in essence, has dumbed down students by watered down teaching the fundamental subjects such as mathematics, geography, history, and constitutional studies. It has also influenced the breakdown of family involvement in their child’s education. So much so that American graduates are no longer competitive in the job market.

Talking about morons, that teacher should look into a mirror.

For all the commenters. “We get what we vote for”. Simple as that. nd the last two Democrats to win the White House were/are worthless puppets of the extreme left. One without any life resume and the other a life long influence peddling low IQ idiot from a place so small it could neatly fit in at least ten US cities.Ten places where Mayors garner more votes than US Senators. Need I say more?

Well this is exactly what Obama was trying to get done during his tenure as chief hater of America for eight long years with Dumbo Joebama O’Biden as his lackey spreading hatred for America and the victim vs privileged message to any/all stupid enough to buy into it! Now the radical repressive libtards posing as teachers have crept into elementary schools everywhere across America to spread their stupidity to corrupt young minds with hatred for America…

When my 2 children were in school decades ago, I frequently complained to the school board about the quality of the textbooks. Certain passages not-so-subtly challenged loyalty to the country’s ideals. The curriculum also didn’t seem to teach the same version of history we learned. And the “New Math”?! Forget about it!

When we started placing more value on how we fit in “globally”, results floundered, and now our public education is waaayyyy down the list of the planet’s best achievers. Third world countries are doing better than we are! And it’s costing us taxpayers a fortune! Yet all we hear is “We need more money to fix it.”

Unfortunately, the indoctrination of our young by the socialist public educational system will not stop any time soon. As long as parents are forced to relinquish their duty to raise their own children, this will continue. I understand the difficult decisions parents must make. Most families need a dual income and are forced to take advantage of before school programs, after school programs, free summer camps, free breakfast, and free lunch. Too many freebies that struggling families are offered which make their lives easier. And I understand all that. But, again, at what cost?

As long as our political leaders and legislators rig the system so that families must avail themselves of these programs, winning their votes in the process, public education will molder in the musty old basement. Good thinking by the liberals, in guaranteeing a self-perpetuating scenario that keeps them in power, our students uneducated, and the majority of us paying the bills for this failure.

The Left started this when all the American flags were removed from classrooms no longer needing them because the day did not start with a flag salute. Teachers and their unions seem to care only about money Money is something but it is never everything. The school started in Colorado which prohibits politics is the best news I have heard.

“Enemy” would be an appropriate title for this movement. We fought a huge, bloody war against a movement where children were taught to judge others according to their ethnicity. They also used “Awake” as their slogan as the current one says “Woke”. The free market was considered a curse of one particular ethnic group at the time. The movement was National Socialism.

True, true, sadly.

The more I read, the more I see our future in the movie “Idiocracy.” If you’ve not seen it, watch – it is prophetic! Dumb down everyone to the point where they’ll believe whatever they are told.

It is still “wildly inappropriate” for adults to radicalize youth. At least to the sane.
This evil should have been stopped back in the 70s, and at least in the 80s when it became aggressive. But no one stopped it. And we got the idiotic, brainwashed millennial generation, and the next. We are now on the third generation of brainwashed fools.l
America is in big trouble. 75 years of stupid, ill educated, Communist numbskulls to lead us to our death.
Oh joy.

“Enemy” is a very apt word for hateful Progressives who want to train our children to judge one another based on their ethnicities. Communism has been regarded as an enemy of the U.S. for a century now, and Progressives lean more toward Communism than they do to the U.S. Constitution. So yea; “enemy” is a very reasonable and accurate term to describe Progressives in our school systems.
Let’s start by removing organized labor from our school systems. Why in the world should those working for government require protection from an organization that depends on that same government to exist in the first place? It’s a scam! Organized labor makes money from the school system, which it returns to politicians that support organized labor, who continue funding organized labor all with tax dollars provided by every working American citizen. Organized labor and politicians scratch one another’s backs while stabbing the average American citizen in the back. AND…we continue to pay for all of this!

You are dead on correct!
The Dept. of Education which Jimmy Carter started in the 70’s should be abolished! And the NEA is nothing more than the mover and manipulator of the left!

Of course. If you’ve never heard of Yuri Bezmenov, I suggest you search his name and watch the video of an interview that he did in the mid-80s. He was a former KGB agent that defected to the U.S. It’s all happening…just as he said it would. What can I say…there are a LOT of really stupid and gullible people in this country.
PS I disagree with the author; “enemy” IS the word for the fight we’re in. No enemy is a bigger threat than the enemy within…ever.

I’ve been around for a while, and I agree with you. This all started in the 50s and progressed into the anti-war movement of the 60s. Hindsight is 20/20.

I saw this coming years ago, but it came to a head with the installation of BHO and his communist backers, mentors, and pastor. Anyone could have looked into his background, read his own words, asked questions about why so much was hidden, and see what they were voting for; an anti-American Marxist FRAUD!

All you have to do is look at the Council on Foregn Relations and what they have been doing since their inception to see why the United States is where we are right now.

These underhanded, subversive tactics from liberals need to be stamped out completely.
Parents need to be involved and expose this harmful and destructive behavior.
We need to demand transparency and morals in our teachers and schools now!
Why are the unions protecting these losers??
This democrat, liberal, socialist anything goes woke culture is what brings this scourge on Citizens!!
They all must go!

Enemy is the perfect word. The globalists running our country are the enemy. They seek to destroy America and build it back socialist/globalist. They play by the rulebook of Saul Alinsky who wrote the book on how to turn a country socislist in 7 steps. Five steps have been basically completed. Meanwhile, the GOP sits around in a state of inactivity and does nothing to slow down much less prevent the destruction of America. The demo/globalist party is made up of Godless, wicked people who have no concern about humanity, just the completion of their own agenda.

Then it’s time…pastime…to replace the members of the House and Senate who sit on the ‘laurels’ and glide through each year without breaking any bubbles or facing any real problems! These people are enriching themselves year after year at our expense. Time to Clean House in Congress! Do Not vote for the same person who is in office now unless you KNOW they are standing for true Conservative Principles! If they’re a laggard, a do-nothing who just scoops up their paycheck they need to be replaced. I’m so sick of the current system!!

Unfortunately, the elephant in the room is the 19 GOP rinos that are actually in bed with the commiecrats. And they are the wolf in sheeps clothing to our country. We expect the commiecrats to behave the way they do. Except for a handful of Repo’s, there’s no fight in them. Sadly, for all of us, you are absolutely right.

You are absolutely right about the rinos! This is why we all need to support convention of states which will allow the people to set term limits for our congressional “leaders”!

Reply to  nick patriot

They are called RINOs because they are performing the job they were elected by the people to do. They are brave enough to vote for what they believe is best for constituents and America & not just vote the same as the rest of party does. This is called Bi-Partisan.

Personally, I think the writer was correct in calling them the enemy! These Liberal Progressive Socialists, otherwise known as “Democrats” these days, are determined to destroy this country, and the patriotic people who built and maintain it, too! I definitely believe that we are living in the last days foretold by the Holy Bible! Holy Scriptures say that in the End Times, Right will be Wrong, and Wrong will be Right! The Day of the Lord draws nigh! Repent of your Sin, and be Saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ! There is no other way to Salvation… Praise God…

Teachers need to be monitored by parents. If police have to wear body cams, so should those who r entrusted with education of our children.

That’s an excellent idea! It’s sad but true that parents today cannot TRUST that their children are being taught the same principles in school that they’re taught at home. Can you imagine the confusion this creates in a child’s mind? The conflict between what Mom & Dad say and what they hear repeatedly every day at school? If I had school age children today I would not allow them to be educated by the public school system. There are So many excellent Home School systems. I know of families that have joined in a Homeschool program, and set up their own small system. The Mothers take turns according to their time availability to supervise for the day. It’s working very well! Think about alternate ideas to the public school system, unless you live in an area blessed with correct principles in schooling. Please check out what your child is being exposed to!

And just what is going to stop the teaching at home to be wrong instead of right. At home, they will be taught what parents believe in & is that the answer

Horrible idea to put Body Cams on teachers. Do you realize how stressful it is being a teacher, and obviously you do not. I can remember teachers from grade school that had big impact on my life.

For the last few years I have monitored Civiqs surveys. The results are broken down by groups: age, education and gender. Very clear that the higher the education (post graduates) and those under 50 are the most liberal supporters of the left. Our colleges have been brainwashing our children for the last 50 years and it has trickled down all the way to kindergarten. I have set aside money to help my 4 teenaged grandchildren go to college, at this point I am afraid to see them go. We need to take back our education system or the USA is doomed.

Actually, it is longer than 50 years that our colleges have been in the brainwashing business. My mother and father used to discuss just this issue when I was a child growing up only 16 miles west of Boston. Both my parents were classical musicians who met while studying in Boston. Mum used to call the professors at the Boston colleges the “egg-head professors.” And, they predicted exactly what we are seeing today. I am now 78, so that was quite awhile ago.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
