Speaker Mike Johnson is personally inviting YOU to join him on the National Mall on Sunday, May 17th, 2026 to worship, pray, and rededicate America as One Nation Under God (see his letter attached here).

On May 17, 1776, the Second Continental Congress held a day of “prayer, fasting, and humiliation” just weeks before declaring independence on July 4th. Now, exactly 250 years to the day, thousands of Americans will come together in our nation’s capital to give thanks and to ask for his forgiveness, mercy, and guidance as we enter the next 250.

Other special guests include Chris Tomlin, Jonathan Roumie, Eric Metaxes, Sec. Pete Hegseth, Bishop Robert Barron, and Dr. Ben Carson—as well as dozens of faith leaders and Christian performers (see the list below).

Event Overview: Rededicate 250

Working Program Overview (times are subject to change):

  1. The Occasion: A national faith event marking a “Jubilee” for America’s 250th anniversary.
  2. The Mission: To gather in prayer, worship, and storytelling and to rededicate our country as One Nation Under God.
  3. The Structure: The program is organized into three core “Pillars”:
    1. Pillar I: the Miracles that Made Us
    2. Pillar II: The Miracles Still in Our Midst
    3. Pillar III: A New Birth of Faith and Freedom

MORNING MESSAGE (10:30 AM – 12:00 PM ET)

A set of opening reflections that frames the spiritual purpose of the gathering and invites the nation into a posture of humility, hope, and rededication.
