“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” If you have ever doubted the prescience of George Orwell, this line from his iconic novel “1984,” published in 1949, reminds us of his warnings about the agenda and dangers of the worldwide left in the aftermath of World War II. He got the decade right as political correctness emerged, and now 40 years later President Joe Biden, the Democrat Party, and their enablers in the legacy media are ordering all of us to not believe our own eyes as they condemn live videos of the president’s increasingly bizarre behavior are “cheap fakes.”
The Democrats were able to hide Biden in his basement during the 2020 campaign, but no such luck during this presidential round. Event after event, Biden’s confused demeanor is clear for everyone to see. During the G7 gathering in Italy when he meandered away from the group of leaders, causing the Italian prime minister to physically retrieve him, pulling him back to the group, to a fundraiser in Los Angeles when he seemed to freeze staring at the audience, provoking Barack Obama to grab his hand, then put his arm around Biden’s back leading him offstage.
The Democrats, however, insist all of this is out-of-context, that it “didn’t happen,” according to an Obama flack as he shared video of it…happening, or they’re “debunked” (which they aren’t) according to MSNBC (of course) as with the G7 situation. They insist Biden was simply going to talk to someone, but the live video itself makes clear that Biden was in his own world, causing concern among the others in attendance.
Everyone got the talking points—none of this happened. Do not believe your lying eyes! It’s fake, and debunked, and “misinformation.” Remember, prior to Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, the Democrats and bureaucratic state were able to stay in the background as they worked to feverishly censor information, by using the FBI’s pressure and manipulation of social media platforms. Now, they have to do it themselves. Describing showing live video of the president’s behavior as a “dirty tactic,” a Biden campaign spokesperson declared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that media and social media platforms should intervene.
A Heritage Foundation researcher noted this to Fox News about what the “cheap fake” spin is really about: “This kind of requires a ramp-up stage where you allege that something is a ‘cheap fake,’ or that it’s malicious in some way related to misinformation, and then you have essentially the evidence, the fact pattern, whatever, to go and push the social media companies with takedown requests, because it’s misinformation regarding an election. So to me, that’s kind of the seed that’s being planted here.”
In the meantime, we (and our nation’s enemies) have seen Biden’s shuffle increase, he has fallen upstairs and downstairs, and over sandbags. We’ve watched and heard him utter gibberish during speeches, and recently shouting gibberish (or is it malarky?) at reporters in the Oval Office as they plied him with questions. To say nothing of a special counsel determining that Biden’s mental condition would make it hard to convict him, noting his “diminished faculties and faulty memory.”
Instead of owning up to Biden’s ignominious public decline, the White House decided to spin their problem as not a problem at all, that they, not us, would decide what was real and what was fake. But this insult to regular humans isn’t new at all—they’re been doing it from Day One, starting with the ultimate “cheap fake”—Joe Biden’s presidency itself.
We have been subjected to a presidency and political party whose first response is to lie to the American people about everything. Biden is a one-term, transitional president. Biden is a uniter. Trump is a Russian toady. Hunter Biden’s laptop is Russian disinformation. The border is closed. Inflation is transitory (just like how Biden was transitory, but not). 75 million Trump voters are “semi-fascist.” Inflation was 9 percent when Biden became president (it was 1.4 percent). Parents taking control of their children’s curriculum is ‘book burning’ and banning. The nonsense and lies go on and on.
This is classic projection—accusing your opponents of doing what you’ve been doing all along, but this is a more than dumb political narratives put forth by Biden’s panicked campaign team—it is an issue of national security.
The chaos sowed by Biden and his leftist handlers might be fun for them as they punish the American people for having elected Trump in the first place, while still stubbornly clinging to our values (that so famously irked Obama). But terrorists and other various enemies of the United States are also watching the Biden debacle unfold no doubt inspiring their malign plans and actions around the world.
We learned about what politicians are capable of after the COVID vaccine debacle of spin and misinformation, and the backlash against the proven importance of other proven vaccines. With their “cheap fake” video spin, their ham-handed politicizing of the issue is inevitably going to create the same distrust and suspicion of the legitimate issue of deep fakes.
But Biden and his gang don’t care; just like they don’t care about your pocketbook, the food you can’t put on the table, the gas you still can’t afford for your car, and the crime overtaking your neighborhoods and cities. We’re all collateral damage to them, but they’ll find out on November 5th that our determination at the ballot box is no cheap fake.
