Biden, Cows, and Storms

Biden

Sometimes, the air changes around you – and you can just feel it. Barometric pressure begins to fall, and keeps falling. A storm is brewing. If you think I am kidding, watch cows. Growing up in Maine, we knew the routine – cows sit before rain. They are a living, breathing, sitting – barometer. Politicians are like cows, or some are. As a storm approaches, they get quiet, sit down. They are sitting for Biden.

Perhaps surprisingly, while those around Biden project “aren’t we happy” enthusiasm for the octogenarian, his hip glasses, anti-Trump indictment, how he gets up after falls – many are not buying it. You can feel the shift in weather, the Biden malaise, a failure of faith in this feeble phony.

Some will say I am being harsh, that this old guy is harmless, or that Democrats will rally to him as the nominating process shapes up, clear they do not want Harris, Newsom, or RFK Jr. Maybe. Maybe not.

What one senses, cannot avoid noticing, is that Democrats are not standing for Biden – not for his “proud of my son” comments (after a criminal plea deal), transgender, anti-girl (White House lawn) nonsense, open borders, anti-police, drug overdoses, pro-China, pro-Iran, bumbling defense policies.

The silence is deafening, dog will not hunt, not even bark. The cows are sitting. Personally, I hope they all stand, and Democrats make Biden their happy nominee – but the silence is eerie, point far bigger.

America faces a rolling constitutional crisis. A former president was indicted by his predecessor (and possible successor) for administrative actions, elevated to “espionage” – which they are not. The same president appears – on documents and testimony – very likely guilty of felony bribery, with his son.

This has never happened before – and Democrats, for all their bravado, know. They know that a storm is coming, that countless Treasury documents, tied back to mandatory (non-political) filings by banks, corporate filings, and testimony memorialized in courageous Justice Department documents by whistleblowers – bode ill.

To this, add the quirky – still indefensible discovery of hundreds of classified documents in Joe Biden’s possession, even as his family got money from Ukraine, China, Romania and other payees for something. Like being “proud” of his felon son, he says he has “no regrets” about profoundly bad judgment.

Basic questions prey on Democrat minds – those brave enough to ponder them – as they do on Republican minds.

How can a President of the United States have known his son was setting up more than 20 LLC companies, deliberately avoiding CMIR, CTR, and “suspicions transaction” reports, taking his son to the countries which paid millions (apparently) for access to the vice president, in some cases tape recording the basis, expectation, and conversation confirming actions for them, and – not be a felon?

The question is unnerving for all Americans, and especially for two groups – those who care deeply about the integrity of the country, and those whose venal personal fortunes tank if these pieces of documentary and testimonial evidence prove true, incontrovertible.

And this is why the cows are sitting. The barometric pressure is falling, and fast – which leads only one place. Biden is in trouble, and those who recognize one-party government only controls the narrative for a time – realize that the truth will out. The storm is coming.

If there are open questions, they are deeply worrying. When will the public – including moderate, principled Democrats – realize the Bidens are inherently, indefensibly corrupt? If before August 2024, will it happen before or after Biden secures the nomination? If after, is the die cast?

Here are some natural facts, and you can take them for what they are worth: Wolves howl more before a storm, sheep huddle, crows fly solo, just as cows sit. Politicians seem to follow the crowd, some howling, others huddling, going solo, or sitting.

When cows and politicians sit, watch out. The storm is coming. To borrow from Friedrich Nietzsche, who seems to have understood Biden and his cohorts before they existed: “If you gaze long enough into the abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.” The abyss has taken this crowd, and now – we await the storm.
