AMAC Members Play Pivotal Role In Passing Crucial Election Integrity Bill

The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, a critical bill to address the pressing threat of noncitizens voting in American elections.

Passage of this bill notably comes following a nationwide AMAC Action outreach campaign from AMAC members, who sent more than 19,000 messages to their representatives in the U.S. House urging a “yes” vote on this legislation.

Among other important provisions, the SAVE Act would require proof of citizenship when individuals register to vote in federal elections, empower citizens to sue election officials who fail to enforce citizenship requirements, enable states to use federal databases free of charge to confirm citizenship status, and protect the rights of naturalized citizens to register and cast their ballots.

The bill passed by a count of 221-198, with all 198 “no” votes coming from Democrats.

Following passage of the bill, AMAC Action President Bob Carlstrom issued the following statement: “AMAC Action appreciates the efforts by Speaker Mike Johnson, Rep. Chip Roy, and Senator Mike Lee to secure our elections. The Democrats who voted against this bill have validated what many have believed all along – our border was thrown open by Joe Biden with the intent to allow noncitizens to enter the country illegally and decide our elections. After our successful call-to-action campaign to help get the SAVE Act passed in the House, we will now turn our attention to driving support for it in the Senate. The future of our republic rests on free and fair elections.”

AMAC Action will continue to empower our members to push for passage of this bill through the Senate, along with holding accountable those members of Congress who refused to take common-sense steps to preserve the sanctity of the ballot box.

Informational Webinar to Get-Out-The-Vote in Michigan

In Michigan, there are more than 500,000 registered, but infrequent conservative voters. These are registered voters who haven’t voted lately but still are eligible for the 2024 general election. All these voters need is some encouragement to cast their ballot. You can provide that encouragement. Stop Ranked Choice Voting in Colorado

A wealthy Denver, Colorado billionaire just released petitions for a ballot initiative, #310, which would allegedly “modernize” Colorado’s election processes. It would create an all-new, all-candidates, all-party primary election, allowing all voters to vote for any candidate for each office, regardless of the voters’ or candidates’ political party affiliation. Voters will also be subjected to a complex and confusing voting process called Ranked Choice Voting in the General election. Three grass-roots citizen ballot initiatives, called “The Good Initiatives,” have been crafted to counter these threats to Colorado’s elections. Help is needed for Coloradans to not only sign petitions to ensure these initiatives appear on the ballot in November in Colorado but to also to circulate the petitions because signatures are required from voters in every Colorado Senate District. If you live in Colorado, click here to learn more and to sign the petitions!

Meetings

July 8 Chapter Meeting: The SE Wisconsin Leadership team, headed by WI-05 Delegate Scott Kosteretz, hosted a combined chapter meeting for AMAC members in WI-01, WI-04, and WI-05. Members heard a state legislative update, participated in a Q & A session, and viewed Dr. Ben Carson’s movie “There is a War on the American Family.”
