Political Correctness Can Have ‘Ugly Consequences,’ says AMAC

dan-weberPC activists want to dictate ‘what is right and what is wrong.’ They tap our sense of fair play to justify their ends. –

BOHEMIA, NY, July 26 – Police would be unable to provide eyewitness descriptions of perpetrators under a proposed New York City law that seeks to limit profiling of suspects.  “It’s an overreach that would give criminals the edge and put innocent citizens at risk, all in the name of Political Correctness,” according to Dan Weber, president of the Association of Mature American Citizens.

The law would allow the cops to describe the clothes the suspect might have worn in the commission of a crime, but that’s about it.  It would leave them open to lawsuits if they say whether the individual was male or female, estimate how old he or she is, indicate whether the individual is white, African-American or Hispanic or point out any physical disability such as a limp, Weber explained.

“It’s Political Correctness gone amok, pure and simple,” he stated.  “Whether the proposal is enacted or not, the mere fact that it is being proposed indicates the extreme measures modern day social engineers are willing to go to turn our world upside down.”

He said that what he called “liberal ideologues” have as their ultimate goal the creation of a utopian society in which they can dictate what is right and what is wrong.  “They use political correctness as a tactic for achieving their objective, tapping our sense of fair play to justify their ends.”

Big gulp soft drink bans, requiring distillers to provide nutritional information on bottles of scotch, vodka or Rye and using the term “a person of interest” instead of saying the word “suspect” in a criminal investigation are just a few of the ways PC activists get their foot in the door, Weber explained.

“The proposed profiling law in New York City is among their ‘next steps.’  As is the case of Army Major Nidal Hassan, who is charged with murdering 13 innocent GIs and severely wounding 32 others in Fort Hood, Texas in 2009.  Eyewitnesses said that Hassan shouted a Muslim clarion call while indiscriminately firing his weapon.  His co-workers had warned his superiors that he was ‘a ticking time bomb’ long before the tragic event, but they didn’t do anything about it.  Among the reasons cited: fear that they might be accused of profiling him as a potentially dangerous extremist.”

The authorities even sought to describe the event as “workplace violence” instead of an act of terror, Weber noted.  “The incident reveals the ugly consequences of mincing words for the sake of political correctness,” he said.

The AMAC chief cited a recent Washington Times opinion article that pointed out that: “New values have emerged and political correctness is simply the means by which these values are propagated and enforced. Political correctness sifts and shapes what and how we think about those values, forming a new morality that is transmitted to our children through public education, Hollywood and the media. The goal of political correctness is rigid conformity in thought and deed. It is as if the reins of culture have been turned over to zealots who are now bullying society down the chute toward ideological purity. They are the new moralizers, and while they don’t wear clerical garb, they behave like a secular Taliban in how they condemn, mock, ridicule and shame all who challenge their orthodoxy.”

The Association of Mature American Citizens [] is a vibrant, vital and conservative alternative to those organizations, such as AARP, that dominate the choices for mature Americans who want a say in the future of the nation.  Where those other organizations may boast of their power to set the agendas for their memberships, AMAC takes its marching orders from its members.  We act and speak on their behalf, protecting their interests, and offering a conservative insight on how to best solve the problems they face today.

Political Correctness
What a load!
So if a human commits a crime against you,
a) you cannot say the gender for fear of discrimination
b) you cannot say the color of their skin for fear of discrimination

OK then, when the same human applies for college admission or for a job
a) you cannot say the gender so they get no preferential treatment
b) you cannot say the color of their skin so affirmative action can then be truly ignored

After all, what’s fair is fair!

Political Correctness itself is an insult to the intelligence of the average citizen. I remember a song by a very good black singer named Aaron Neville called “Tell It Like It Is”. Today, Neville would be arrested for insensitivity to the illiterate majority. You know…the 50.2 % who voted for Barack Obama.

In England, under their english law, the intended victim of a crime by a criminal, has the responsibility of running away or out the back door of ones home if a criminal breaks in with the intention of robbing and/or physically harming or killing one. If the victim, home owner, etc., harms the criminal in self defense, the ‘victim’ will be brought before the court and sentenced to fines, jail and/or prison.

England allows no gun ownership. But the criminals are well armed.

This is what liberalism has done to a once great country and this is what they want to do to the United States. Liberalism is a mental disease. I’m sorry to say, it seems to be spreading thanks to people like the Obamas, the Pelosi’s, the Biden’s, the Harry Reid’s of the world.

Just another way for libs to protect the criminal and not the victim. Very sad.

As if the victims don’t have enough trouble this seems to be a ‘pile on’

Normal criminals may go to jail, but really great criminals go to Congress

From the beginning, my feelings and beliefs were/are against the current president and those who ill advise him. As with all the writings herein and those of Fox News and millions of others, who are berating the current government, including a Supreme Court gone astray, and especially a failed Congress, where are those who have specific answers as to what to do about the situation? Don’t tell me to vote. I’ve already done that and I can’t see our waiting for 2016 to get rid of Hussein Obama, alias Barry Soetoro.
Lord knows many of the things he has done and wants to promote are impeachable. Where is someone who has the pulpit start CLAMORING for his removal. I know, if that dum dum from Delaware were to take over it would be out of the frying pan and into the fire; but, it wouldn’t be long before his head would be on the block.
Please! LET’S DO IT! NOW!

Read Romans 1:18-31. I believe that God has abandoned America. If you notice in Romans 1:28-31 it says “And just as they did not see fir to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understand (natural affection), untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.” Kinda sounds like the nightly news, doesn’t it? In II Chronicles 7:14 God tells us “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” So what do we do? PRAY! Pray that America will see a spiritual revival like we have never seen before.

Better to be Spiritually Correct than ‘correct’ politically.

P C gone amok, again. This is just yet another example of the “every one is a suspect” mentality. We do it at the air terminals, and on our telephone and internet activity. Help!

You are being PC when you refer to black people as African-American.That was a phrase coined by the poverty pimp Jesse Jackson and very divisive as far as uniting our country.
The police and news media must be able to indicate apparent sex, color of skin in order to protect the general public until the perpetrator is caught.

Am I alone in thinking that our country (at least the majority) has gone completely “nuts”? This is just plain crazy. What’s happened to us? Let please restore common sense to our legislators.

“Political Correctness” is a tool that is used to further an agenda. When I read your article several things came to mind. First of all, names like Marx,Lenin Trotsky et al popped into my head. Secondly, Progressives,Ultra Liberals etc . are nothing more than synonyms for Communism. I have seen firsthand what a communist regime can do to enslave a nation. We need to take the reins away from these communist ideologists before they drag our wagon of freedom over the cliff.

I agree, but we must blame ourselves. When we do not stand up and stop condoning.

We condon by inaction, freedom of religion, guarenteed in constitution. LOST
We condon obama
We condon abortion,
So we should condon robbery, then maybe we can condon rape or murder next.

TSA already promotes REVERSE PROFILING. At the airport; me, a 67 yr old senior get pulled for the full search, yet I have had a well dressed black man behind me at least 6’6” all muscle, pleasant to talk to waved straight through. I am a pilot I see handicapped and seniors pulled all the time. Yet people I would not like to meet in a dark alley get waved by daily…..for political correct farse.

The stupidity of it all just makes my blood boil. We are constantly giving into these bleeding heart liberals and our world surely is turning upside down. What next? It’s no wonder we are looked down upon by foreign countries. Education, morals and liberties have been on the decline. Catering to the small outspoken squeaky wheels seems to be the norm nowadays. Proud to be American is not heard too often anymore!

Daniel could have been channeling me when he wrote this. At a seminar five or six years ago, a young woman (oops, profiling) made this comment in response to something she heard, “Why that’s not even politically correct.” Many of our young people believe that politically correctness is the law of the land.

Some things that are not politically correct: God, Jesus, the Bible, public Christian prayer, gun ownership, belief that marriage is a bond between opposite sex individuals, being conservative, being a white male, being female and conservative, being black and conservative, opposing abortion on demand, picture ID for voting, profiling, legitimate criticism of our current African-European-American president, legitimate criticism of any black leader, criticism of liberal females, criticism of liberal female political leaders, any inappropriate descriptors of minority racial groups especially blacks (Couldn’t this simply be covered under the umbrella of good manners?), cyclic climate phenomenon, the “melting pot,” and so on.

Things that are politically correct include: abortion, the Koran, respect for Muslims praying in Airports, streets, and elsewhere (as if we wouldn’t respect them without being told), atheism, same-sex marriage, banning guns, criticism of a white male president, criticism of conservative females, severe criticism of conservative female leaders, criticism of conservative blacks, hyphenated Americans, inappropriate descriptors for white people and white women, climate change, multiculturalism, and so on.

Political correctness is not about respect, it is about control; it is the way the minority powers over the majority. It inhibits the free flow of ideas. It violates our constitutional right for free speech. I agree with Daniel, it is a one way street. Its purpose is to stifle free speech and the free expression of ideas in such a way that the politically incorrect are rendered defenseless when their values are attacked. Let’s dare to be politically incorrect while at the same time being well-mannered and courteous to our fellow man (oops, politically incorrect) that is our fellow person.

For those who have read the King James version of the Bible and for those who have not, there is a common chain of events that stretches from Genesis to Revelation— People Sin and God Punishes. This Country has literally begged for the wrath of God to be poured out upon it for the past several years. We, as a Nation, should be begging God for Mercy
instead of asking God to Bless this Mess that is happening today.

Political Correctness is a mental disorder that afflicts micro-cephalic morons who subscribe to an idiotology of fantasy! They are actually afraid to pass gas for fear of blowing their own brains out, what little they have. I would have said this in a much clearer manner had I not elected to be politically correct so I wouldn’t offend them.

DINOs (Dems In Name Only) are the Progressives/Marxists/Communists who have infiltrated the Democratic Party, which is no longer what it used to be. RINOs (Repubs In Name Only) are the DINOs who have infiltrated the Republican Party, which is no longer what it used to be. They rot an organization from the inside. Now there isn’t a nickels worth of difference between these two parties. The same thing is happening in the White House; it is rotting from the inside. Our true enemies are within our country, not across the ocean! Even the Supreme Court has been infiltrated to the point of being somewhat ineffective, and tending to legislate from the bench, and going along to get along, instead of evaluating laws as to their constitutionality.

We need to form a very strong third party to beat these morons by promising to give the parasites even more than Obama does, and then, after we get our candidate elected, run our true colors (Red, White, and Blue instead of their Panty Pink and Purple) up the flagpole and put our Ship of State back on the right course, the Constitutional course, maybe like before President Wilson saddled the country with the Federal Reserve Banking System, President F. D. Roosevelt initiated his Ponzi scheme – the Social Security System, the United Nations became synonymous with the New World Order, and our Educational System was actually worth a damn instead of being a Socialist cesspool turning out Liberals by the ton without a decent work ethic in order to promote Socialist government dependency and the welfare state! We should also have protected our borders, language and culture much better than we did instead of allowing the farce we now have.

It is very difficult to compete with a give-away party that’s using taxpayers money by promising cutbacks and restrictions, so we must learn to do battle with the bastards by using their own Marxist propaganda methods that they have been using against us, against them; fight fire with fire! The weak-kneed Republicans are simply not strong enough, or dirty enough, to accomplish this; they fold up in a fight like a cheap suit! Like they say, to make an omelet you have to crack a few eggs, and never let a crisis go to waste! We have the crisis, now let’s crack some eggs and get on with it! God Bless the USA!

Liberals are attempting to destroy freedom from both ends.
Freedom only exists between two enemies, tyranny and anarchy.
When government is too small you have anarchy, a condition where the people abuse each other.
If government is too large the government ends up abusing the people. This is tyranny.
Freedom cannot exist unless government is large enough to keep anarchy in check and strictly limited in power to prevent tyranny. Liberals regulate everything that moves. Businessmen have been under tyranny for decades. They are also making it almost impossible to enforce good laws, thus promoting anarchy.

Can’t give an accurate description of a suspect.
You have to read them a short speech designed to convince a crook not to confess.
You know the drill. The beat goes on and on and on…

We have been silent for far too long. I have complained to several of my grandsons’ teachers about their not teaching American History. They have all given me a sad look and said, I know. They have dumbed down our schools, and by they, I mean the “Progressives”, or Socialists. It’s all for control. The dumber we are, the easier we are to control. Obama came into office with a goal to destroy America, and he almost has because there hasn’t been enough opposition. I certainly expected better from Boenher (sp?) than we’ve gotten. We all need to rise up together. I don’t know how, but there must be an organizer out there who does. And regarding the so-called surveys- all they really want is money. If you answer all their questions, but don’t send money with it, within days, they will fire back another one. I’ve gotten as many as ten in a day from organizations I have never heard of. There isn’t that much money in the world! Thanks for giving me a place to rant.

There is no “saving our republic’ any more – it will take more than one man to attempt to right the wrongs that have been done. The Dems have set into motion a plan whereas they can’t “lose” future elections – and if they give the amnesty to millions of Mexicans, it’s sealed in stone. I don’t see much hope for this once great country. There simply aren’t enough people willing to effect the changes it would take – and God forbid the leeches would give up any of their free stuff just to insure their kids a better future! That would mean they’d have to get off the couch and actually join the human race! There is no self reliance, no self respect and no sense of “I CAN” in this country any more. Obama and his fellow parasites have seen to that.

The one thing that upsets me more than these types of moronic, lame brained ideas coming from social weepers who have never done anything in life that is more useful than carrying out the garbage, if they even do that because I think they just throw it out their kitchen window, is that the authors of these kinds of stories always seem to protect the identity of the idiot who made the proposal in the first place. Let’s get some faces to put with the stupidity and let the public deal with it. Unless the politician does something unsavory sexually we never hear their names.

Thumbs down to D. C. Weber for failing to name the moron who proposed this, and those who supported it.

While I cannot stand the liberal agenda, we have cut off our noses to spite our faces over the past few years. Conservatives also use PC garbage to justify their own agendas. Not much difference between what NYC is doing and what the extreme right in our party is doing. Sticking your nose into others bedrooms, clinics, and other places it shouldn’t be, is just as bad. We can easily take back this nation if we dump the fringe nutjobs in the Republican Party and in conservative thinking.

I don’t recall EVER hearing or seeing a heterosexual parade, or demanding more “rights” than any other U.S. citizen, demanding that they can go in to the womens restroom because that is how they “identify” themselves, that they should be a “protected class”. I don’t want my tax dollars going to fund abortions. It’s not a womans “right” to get an abortion, it’s her right to say no in the first place. Conservatives are far from using “PC garbage”, you libs have that locked down.

Reply to  StanB

Stan: your reply is exactly why nothing will ever get done in the US again. First of all, I’m far from being a liberal on almost everything.

Secondly, the whole restroom thing was an incident of a child being allowed to act out his mentally unbalanced state of thinking he is a girl, when he is indeed a boy. I flamed out on the conservative side on this issue, saying the parents should be shot or hung (not physically of course, only emotionally & socially).

Third. Us heterosexuals don’t need a parade or anything else. We made the rules for thousands of years. While I think gay folks are a few screws short of a full load, the fact of the matter is that if two guys, two gals, or a chicken and a horse want to get married or have sex, it doe NOT affect me in any way unless they live in my house.

Fourth. I don’t want MY tax dollars funding religious groups or organizations (such as those anti-abortionist ones), but for decades that is exactly what part of my money went for. Why should churches be tax exempt?

Finally, your “I’m right and you’re wrong” insinuation in your reply is also exactly why us conservatives lost a number of good seats in the last election and will continue to do so unless people like you, who demand less government intervention, stop using your own brand of PC for what you believe is right. Hate to tell you, a woman DOES have a right to a safe abortion for herself, as unpleasant and emotionally destructive as it is. But of course people like you are the same as the far left and insist it’s your way or the highway. I spent decades in family practice and know very well how lousy abortions are, but back-room and alley ones are even more horrific. Please mind your OWN business.

Where does a woman’s right to an abortion come from. I disagree that my tax dollars are spent killing unborn children.
