Obama’s Nuclear Posture Review: You Be the Judge

America’s most arrogant President has also become our most dangerous President.

President Obama has revealed that he will be transforming America’s nuclear strategy to limit the United States’ use of nuclear weapons, while rejecting new nuclear developments. As disclosed in The New York Times, “For the first time, the United States is explicitly committing not to use nuclear weapons against nonnuclear states that are in compliance with the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, even if they attacked the United States with biological or chemical weapons or launched a crippling cyberattack.”

Obama’s Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) achieves one thing and one thing only:  It announces to nations far and wide that the United States of America is no longer willing to do everything in its power to protect itself.

You see, Mr. President, it’s actually quite simple. It’s like that guy who strolls through Central Park at night with his one-hundred pound Rottweiler. He is never bothered by a soul. Does his dog go around tearing to shreds everyone who crosses their path? No. Does she attack at the first sign of movement? No. In fact, she barely makes a peep. You know why? Because she doesn’t have to. Because everyone knows better than to mess with the guy with the one-hundred pound Rottie. She may be the sweetest creature to ever walk the face of the planet, but the mere fact that she is by her owner’s side, that her teeth could rip you to pieces if she so desired, is enough to keep the midnight loonies away. Do you catch my drift?

What should Obama be doing instead? As The Heritage Foundation points out, “The right U.S. defense strategy would emphasize a modernized, credible nuclear force; comprehensive missile defense; and robust conventional forces, as well as vigorous efforts to prevent proliferation, illicit trafficking in nuclear technology and materials; and combating terrorism.” In other words, we should be beefing up, not wimping out.

I hate to break it to our President, but he wasn’t elected to apologize for America, to repeatedly slap our allies in the face, to cower before big words like terrorism, to breed dependency into the most industrious nation this world will ever know, or to jeopardize our national security. He was elected to defend and protect this country, and that means taking no options off the table, regardless of the fact that we hope and pray to never have to use any of them. He should darn well know that it’s not what we do with our power that scares the bad guys, but what we could do.

Many will speculate as to what in heaven’s name our President is thinking. Is he simply pulling an Obama—as in playing the role of global savior and eternal pacifist? Perhaps. Does his hefty ego still actually believe he can change the ways of the world with a wave of his diplomatic wand and a dose of his academic rhetoric? Possibly. Or is the sustenance of his world view—in which political correctness, lofty intellectualism, and big daddy government can heal all wounds—more important to him than the protection of our sea to shining sea?

You be the judge. But no matter how you slice it, the policy is just plain wrong. And the potential consequences are far too grave to bear.

I, too, want to live in a peaceful universe. I, too, cringe at the thought of nuclear weapons. But I also know that there’s good and evil in this world. And it doesn’t make much sense to disarm the good while evil is busy amping up its power to destroy.

Mr. President, there is no greater way to promote and sustain peace than for the leader of the free world to wear America’s strength on his sleeve. Can we trust this President to safeguard America in this post-9/11 world?

You be the judge.

Obama is shameful, bloated with his own ego, and an embarrassment to this great nation. I hope that those who still fawn over him are the first in line to receive his “kindly” Obamacare. I want to pass on receiving it myself.

I did not vote for this man nor do I ever have any intentions to vote for him, simply because he is a political weakling.

It should be plain to everyone that he is a muslim who plans to turn America into a muslim nation.he so plans to then start to killing all “infidels”

Rather than winning friends in the Muslim world, Obama is garnering contempt, while inviting/provoking an attack.
The question is whether he is merely inexperienced and naive or deployed in order to subvert our nation.
Peace through strength was our defense mantra through the cold war. As we perceive the new threat of transnational terrorism, we need an ADDITONAL strategy, not a SUBSTITUTE for nuclear deterence.
