NYC Mayor Adams Exploiting Fake News to Attract Residents

By Ian Gargan

Florida’s Parental Rights bill has been dragged through the mud by the left-wing media in the past weeks. Building off the false narrative, claiming that it will be oppressive for the LGBTQ community is an outright lie. If anyone from the media took a moment to read the bill, they would realize this is just more fake news. The Parental Rights bill was voted into law to ban classroom lessons on sexual orientation and gender identity for kids aged 5 to 8. Parents don’t want their children learning about sexuality before they learn about conjugating verbs, and that’s not unreasonable.

Perhaps New York City Mayor Eric Adams did not have adequate time to read the bill as he demonstrates through his ill-conceived new marketing strategy designed to bring tax dollars back to the struggling city. His latest idea – claiming New York City is a safe haven for the LGBTQ “oppressed” in Florida.

Following Adams in this crusade is a cast of characters including New York City Department of Education Chancellor David C. Banks, Kevin Jennings, CEO of Lambda Legal, Elisa Crespo, Executive Director of NEW Pride Agenda, Beverly Tillery, and more social justice worriers. They’ve all seemingly aligned themselves in the effort to prove their illiteracy to us all or maybe they just flat out don’t care about the truth. To continue misleading the people of New York with their leftist propaganda is dishonest at best. The LGBTQ community in Florida is not being oppressed, it’s the child groomers that are!

Meanwhile, according to the NYPD website, citywide shooting incidents increased by 31.6% (100 v. 76) in January 2022 compared with the same period last year, robbery increased by 33.1%, and grand larceny increased by 58.1%. The New York Post also just reported an increase in the number of homeless people sleeping in 24/7 ATM vestibules, so former Floridians will have that to look forward to.

So, in short, please come to New York City, where you’re free to say gay as well as “Help! I’m being robbed” and “Did that junkie pass out on the sidewalk again?” Come reside in the luxurious, friendly, diverse, accepting, LGBTQ+ capital of the East. Stay for our top-tier tax rates and incredibly overinflated property costs all while being held at knifepoint. With Adams in charge, NYC residents hoped that a former police captain would focus on crime but that was a farce. People said it would be tough to do worse than Bill DeBlasio, but Adam’s will be damned if he doesn’t try!

Thousands of illegals needing a place to live and there’s a problem?

Mohave50

I am OK with the illegals being shipped to Sanctuary cities that passed actual laws that welcome them and provide for their every need. I think those places need to put their money where their big mouths are and do what they said they would do. I think it is just fine if those same cities allow ANTIFA and BLM to tear down their statues, burn their towns and block the freeways. Those who want illegals and violent protests should get them and those who do not, can happily ship them to those deep blue welcoming places. Win/Win.

Let’s keep it going. Every election we have the choice of a Republican and a Democrat. Any other party that starts up will get like 150 votes. Republicans and Democrats, with the exception of Reagan and Trump, we got nothing but garbage in the last maybe 75 years. So, yeah let’s keep electing from the two horrible choices we get and complain for four years about it. I can’t stand B.S.! What do you get from a politician? B.S.

OR, we could solidly support those conservatives that are true patriots that want to make a difference in Washington D.C. like many who are already there. If we continue to believe the lies of the left to demonize all those who want conservative values, we lose. Politicians get there because of confused voters that don’t get or understand the facts. Republicans have done a poor job of stating the facts and forget about the socialist democrats.

My wife and I were in NYC many years ago. I had a goal of going to all 50 states. We did it. But now, nothing could force us back there. The same goes goes for lot of cities in the north and the entire state of California. I would no longer feel safe and I certainly don’t want to encounter some of the people there.

Totally agree. Don’t support these liberal states if at all possible.

I read the bill multiple times, but couldn’t find a word that forbids saying gay. So all of the guys who use the phrase are lying.
But all the liberals and mainstream media use that phrase. “A lie told once is still a lie a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth” (Joseph Goebbels). Congratulations to the liberals and mainstream media for using fascist propaganda methods, it shows their real face!!!!!!

Stop sending more woke liberals to NYC, as we have more than enough of these people who have no concept of the real residents of NYC. What you are talking about is the small population of ultra-rich liberals who don’t use public transit, are driven around in chauffeured limousines, frequent elite parties, indulge in illicit party drugs, but indulge in pearl-clutching antics when confronted with individuals who are not part of their social circle, like a homeless shelter set up in a building on their block. These are not true New Yorkers but the elite rich who use their money to keep themselves removed entirely from the reality of NYC. Their idea of making NYC better is to remove all the ghetto-dwellers and send them somewhere else that they can’t see them,( explain why they have a program that re-homes poor families out of the area and totally forgets them or puts all their homeless shelters right on the border of NYC and the next city over in the hopes that that city will deal with their problem, and build expensive highrises for the rich. Don’t label them part of the real NYC, call them what they are people with money who don’t deal with reality and don’t want to know either as they are so narcissistic.

I feel sorry for the good NYC voters that don’t want the political garbage. IF however, only a small population of people with money run the city, it’s time the voters vote out the garbage. It would seem more than a small amount of liberals are voting liberal.

When NYC is governed by DemocRats … it becomes Rat infested. I will never understand the potential combinations of ignorance, lassitude, stupidity, naiveness, etc. of citizens that vote to continue such a sordid and dangerous selection of governance choices. Maybe the answer is that voting is so rigged in NYC, that no real voter majority choice can be obtained.???? …due to rigged election outcomes????

When only an average of 16 percent of the eligible voters in NYC bother to turn out to vote, it doesn’t take much vote manipulation to alter the outcomes even under the best of circumstances. In this case, I seriously doubt the Democrats had to resort to any actual vote manipulation. Democrats voters outnumber Republican voters at least 5 to 1 in the city.

The Republican Party in NY State is pretty much just phoning it in these days, in terms of putting any serious effort and money into getting their candidates elected. In the NYC Mayoral race, even a number of what I call the RINO class of rich and connected Republicans were all over the media talking up how great Eric Adams would be as Mayor since he comes from a police background. Completely writing off all the Republican candidates who ran. None of these RINOs apparently bothered to look into Adam’s actual background while on the force or they would have realized that he would govern exactly how he is currently doing. So when even the monied Republicans are talking up the Democrat candidate for Mayor, how do you think the race will turn out? By the way, the same thing is currently happening with the Governor’s race.

I live east of NYC in a suburb on Long Island, and since Covid and the continuing crime problem, I haven’t been in the city for over 2 years and won’t go back into NYC until this mayor Adams can show strength and really prove he can make the city safe! He says things but let’s see results!

Well then it looks like you won’t be heading into NYC for the balance of Adam’s term in office. He’s already defaulted to blaming everyone else for his inability to do anything of substance to improve anything related to crime.

Gee, a Democrat intentionally lied to sell a false narrative to ignorant Democrat voters, who always believe whatever a Democrat official tells them. I’m shocked! Utterly shocked!!!!…NOT!!!! Mayor Adams lied repeatedly during his mayoral campaign, about being someone who would be tough on criminals, when all anyone had to do was take 5 minutes to look at his record as a cop on-line to see he was anything but that. He was a left-wing political activist who occasionally did a little police work, when he wasn’t bashing his fellow cops. So excuse me if I’m not surprised or shocked that Mayor Adams continues to lie repeatedly about almost everything and blame others for his inability to do his current job of Mayor properly.

As long as New York City residents continue to only elect “Progressive” (Socialist) Democrats as Mayor and members of the City Council, they shouldn’t really expect anything to really improve. You ultimately get the type of government you vote for and what the residents of NYC vote for are politicians that value criminals and various left-wing groups over the average citizen. By the way, the same can be said of Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and the other major cities that have been controlled by Democrats for years and years.

Great opening as all is true. Sad to think that people keep falling for these false gestures without thinking.

That’s the biggest issue Max. Most people don’t think. Period! They hear a good speech and believe whatever they see or hear on TV. They are too lazy to research anything about any politician running for office, in order to check on their history of accomplishments or the complete lack thereof. A simple Google or DuckDuckGo search yields more than enough data to show Adams was always a BS artist and anti-law enforcement. Then after the election, people are shocked that everything they were told during the campaign was a total pack of lies. Well duh!!! It’s not the politician’s fault that the people are stupid enough to keep falling for the same nonsense over and over again. If they want to know who is to blame, all they have to do is look in the mirror.

And … the News Media gravitates to what the people tend to believe. If the DemocRat politicos have the public fooled, the media rides along with it.
