On Oct. 7, thousands of members of the terrorist group Hamas and its “civilian” friends broke through the barrier between the Gaza Strip and Israel and proceeded to torture, rape and slaughter at least 1,200 Israeli people. They burned their homes, killed their children in front of them and then kidnapped some 250 Israelis back to Gaza, where they planted themselves in terror tunnels built with foreign humanitarian funding over the course of two decades, just beneath civilian areas including hospitals and schools.

Israel responded by utilizing every measure at its disposal to kill Hamas members while maintaining civilian life. They warned civilians to leave war zones. They put soldiers on the ground to go door-to-door despite total air superiority. They facilitated the entry of hundreds of trucks filled with humanitarian aid every single day in order to try to stave off hunger and thirst.

Almost 300 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the Gaza Strip during the course of its six-month war. Over 100 hostages, including five Americans, remain in Hamas’ hold. Tens of thousands of Israelis have been removed from their homes in the south of Israel, as well as along the northern Lebanese border, where the Iranian proxy terror group Hezbollah prepares for a large-scale war involving hundreds of thousands of rockets. Terrorism in the West Bank, Judea and Samaria, has skyrocketed, with nearly daily murderous attacks by Hamas sympathizers, including members of the Palestinian Authority.

Despite all of this, Israel has achieved historic military wins: killing the top Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps commander in Lebanon and Syria; quieting the West Bank through targeted raids; extirpating Hamas control from most of the Gaza Strip, leaving only the city of Rafah with its four divisions of Hamas.

And the Biden administration has responded by calling on Israel to stop.

Not only that: the Biden administration has become the propaganda arm of Hamas. They have suggested that Israel has been indiscriminate in its war aims, too willing to kill civilians, willing even to stymie humanitarian assistance without reason. This week, Secretary of State Antony Blinken made the astonishing statement that Israel was risking losing its reverence for human life — even as Israelis sacrifice their own lives in an attempt to rescue hostages and preserve civilians who largely support genocidal Jew-hatred. Blinken stated, “If we lose that reverence for human life, we risk becoming indistinguishable from those we confront.” He then added, “Right now, there is no higher priority in Gaza than protecting civilians, surging humanitarian assistance, and ensuring the security of those who provide it.”

Of course, there is a higher priority for Israel: victory.

But America is no longer interested in victory.

The pattern of every American war since the end of World War II has been simple: we jump to involve ourselves in military conflicts when we feel a surge of moral outrage at the evils of our enemies; we then begin to question ourselves when we see hideous pictures on our televisions; we then surrender or cut an ugly deal. That is the pattern in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq. Sometimes, we simply abandon our allies without any sort of serious opposition, as with the Kurds or the people of Hong Kong.

Obviously, America ought not involve itself in foreign conflicts in which we are unwilling to stay the course. American interests dictate pragmatism. But we’ve gone far beyond that. Now we’re telling our allies that they can’t win victories in conflicts in which they are willing to stay the course and in which they can win.

We will actively step in to prevent victory.

And so our enemies grow stronger. They have no such Hamlet-like moral qualms. They push where there is mush. Should Israel accede to America’s request to leave Hamas in place in Rafah, Hezbollah will challenge Israel in the north; Iranian proxies will challenge Israel in the West Bank; Iran will up the ante in Yemen and the Red Sea. Israel and Saudi Arabia will be forced to search for new allies and new weapons. The world will significantly become more dangerous.

It turns out that the alternative to an America confident in its own moral role — and an America willing to stand with its allies — is a world of chaos. We are now living in that world. And things will get much, much worse before the end of this era of moral vacillation and cowardice in the face of evil.

Nothing new here when compared to the previous article of a few days ago. Israel is on its own and can expect no help from the rest of the world. The powers in charge through MSM keep rest of the world misinformed of the true reality as MSM spins its own tales.
As stated in many other articles in this forum, there is NO TRUE LEADERSHIP AT THE HELM as attested to by Biden’s lack of diplomacy, courage (pushing this), and guidance of foreign affairs of our nation. This nation is at a crossroads that it will either continue its downhill slide into oblivion or take back what has been lost so the nation can restore some esteem to show rest of the world. The next months are precious for the nation — either sink or swim.

The democrats have lost every War since the end of WWII. The only reason we Won WWII in the Pacific is because Truman would not let the War drag on like FDR would have (FACT). Then we have democrat controlled Congress during Korean War (led by the UN which is NOT over), Viet Nam War (democrats surrendered), and every War since then when they have controlled Congress and the WH. Both obama and Dictator Beijing biden have surrendered to Terrorist and gave them Billions in exchange for prisoners. Dictator Beijing biden SURRENDERED to Terrorist in Afghanistan and giving them $86 Billion in U.S. Military equipment and weapons including the largest runway in the world that Communist China now controls.
Both obama and Dictator Beijing biden with their Communist Party gave Iran $Billions for appeasement just like they are continuously bowing down to Communist China ever since b. clinton bowed down to Communist China in the ‘90’s and giving them most favored nation in the UN.
Even Dictator Beijing biden’s Illegal Alien Terrorist Invasion is a WAR that he started and constantly lies saying he can’t do anything when he opened the Borders with Crime running rampant.
This says volumes about the Communist democrats who only care about themselves for power and always put the United States and Legal American Citizens LAST.
The Communist democrats lie steal, and rig elections so they can stay in power at YOUR expense, SAFETY, and FREEDOMS by one sided laws they create out of FANTASY WORLD.
And each time YOUR Fathers, Sons, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews and any other relatives DIE because of Communist democrats.
Remember that President Trump NEVER got us into any WAR.

This worthless corrupt administration needs to get out of Israel’s business and let them exterminate Hamas once and for all.

We don’t have any politicians with the balls to step up and allow our military and Israel military to win wars. That was evident in Korea and especially Vietnam.

Praise for this writing – for presenting the truth, the facts – Praise for you Ben for loyalty to what is right, for the defense and freedom of Israel. Good will prevail over evil with the kind of moral strength and courage that you identified as being the issue to deal with – I believe in the value of taking a positive ,optimistic outlook with matters of great importance ,such as the freedom of Israel, and looking at the developments from that sort of view in order to maintain the right level of orderly thinking needed – I reckon that the enemies want to have chaos , so the emphasis on orderly thinking has significance for that reason. Well done with this article !

The only two times in the past 60 years when the world was relatively at peace was the 8 years of Reagan’s presidency and the 4 years of Trump’s. Our enemies genuinely feared us… The other 48 were a disaster.

Major General Fox Connor, a mentor to Generals Eisenhower and Marshall well before WWII, had this war fighting advice for democracies (paraphrased) – never fight unless you have to, never fight alone, and never fight for long. This last is the hard one for it means you have to fight decisively. That means the goal of a war must be to eliminate the causes of the war, understand the enemy and shape a decisive strategy. We followed that advice in the 1991 Gulf War, but failed to follow that advice in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, the “War on Terror” and now in Ukraine and Israel. Instead leaders have allowed less relevant factors to control and failed to lead.

Israel is being accused of starting the war, however the Hamas started it . I can believe some of the Americans are backing the enemy. The Word says I will bless those who will bless Israel.
it seams like our younger generation has it all wrong. I believe ant semtesism is alive in the US. Why people want to think that way I don’t understand why.
pits time we pray for peace ,however is it going to happen with Homas.
what’s the U N going to do, it’s Shameful how Israeliis are being treated. Look what Hitler did in the past.
let’s be in prayer for Israel. Many of the eastern countries are still in in the process of being against Israel. May our local Americans stop praising the enemy.

Losing, cheating, corruption, destroying, lying – all done deliberately and with intent, yet with zero substance, just to stay in power. This is what leftists do best; it’s what feeds them. They’d waste a million dollars to save a dime, destroy a billion lives to tell themselves how great they are. They lose. It’s what they do. And no one administration has done a better job of losing than Biden/Obama, funded by the globalist demons and unfortunately the American taxpayer. And we all pay for it.

How can you forget how… its the same excuse they use for Ukraine: the Dominoe Effect! “Stop them there or all will fall” is the same excuse they’re using for Putin.

You can’t really blame Hamas for building tunnels… where else better to store all the “humanitarian aid” we sent them to “end Gazan suffering”? And plus, they make excellent dungeons for hostages… you know, those ppl never mentioned by Biden or CNN when talking about Israel’s “genocide”!

Thanks, Ben, for another good analysis. There is no sense to getting into a war (or any kind of fight) if not to win. Even if we shouldn’t be there in the first place, there’s no justification for losing (especially on purpose).
