WASHINGTON, DC, June 24 — “It’s not done yet,” says Rebecca Weber, CEO of the Association of Mature American Citizens. “The Supreme Court decision overturning the Roe vs Wade ‘license to kill unborn children’ ruling of 1973 is a welcome win for the anti-abortion right to life movement. But it is not the end of the righteous fight to save the lives of our children as they are nourished in their mother’s wombs awaiting their birthdays. There’s a lot more to do.”

Weber says abortionists still have options, legal and illegal. “She points out that the high court’s decision didn’t outlaw abortion; it turned the matter over to the states. The Associated Press reports that it is likely that half of the states will soon have their own anti-abortion laws in place. That’s a good thing, but it leaves half the country open to the notion that it’s okay to murder a baby-in-waiting while still in the mother’s womb.”

The AMAC chief says that is why the association has partnered with the Breath of Life organization, a pro-life organization that provides support for expectant mothers. The Christian, Long Island native, Regina Napolitano is the founder and executive director of the program and has been since the idea came to her in 2004. As Regina put it, “We help girls with a good listening ear, work to hear what their problems are, what they need, and give them the resources to work through those problems. We encourage them by finding solutions, not just telling them not to abort…We stick with them, through the whole process.”

Weber was so impressed with the sincerity and the promise with which Ms. Napolitano has grown her critical life’s work over the years that she is pledging her support and the support of AMAC to her cause. “It’s a task that is sustained by commitment, lots of love, and significant funding. Regina is committed; she’s been doing God’s work since 2004 through times of thick and thin. Certainly, she has the love; you can’t have that measure of commitment if you don’t love your job and the people you help if you don’t have love. If anything, she needs the wherewithal, the financial support to continue growing her outreach, and the protection she provides for unborn lives. It’s the reason we partnered with her and her Breath of Life organization. It’s the reason we hope her story resonates with AMAC’s 2.4 million members, the reason we need helpmates willing to spend a dollar or two or three for the cause.”

In a perfect world, there would be no need for an abortion. Birth control is readily available even paid for/subsidized by Obamacare. If the “life of the mother” is at issue, it’s called a C-SECTION. Pro-abortion ppl shouldn’t have taken Mississippi’s 15-week law to court; their mistake is keeping to an “any time, no limit” rule. “Rights are not absolute, can’t yell fire in a crowded theater, the Founding Fathers didn’t have AR-15s”… this is what they said about the Second Am. just one day prior when NYs law was overturned. I give this “outrage” a week before the media finds the next “big story”. They’ve already moved on from Uvalde and Buffalo…

I am shocked that the Supreme Court actually followed through and struck down Roe v Wade. Considering the harassment of Supreme Court justices by pro-abortion protesters protesting outside their homes and the attempted assassination of justice Cavanaugh, I didn’t think they would do it. Unfortunately, this changes nothing in my home state of NY, where the governor codified abortion into state law.

I am so sick of the abortion debate. Once again women should have no rights to their own bodies?—never mind the struggle to get the vote or equal pay. Apparently, the fetus has more rights? It is ironic that the organization now involved with AMAC is called “Breath of Life” which indicates the baby isn’t alive until it BREATHES which is out of the womb! Christians that are objecting to abortion are forgetting the age old question: “Which came first—the Chicken or the Egg?” According to the Bible, God did NOT litter the Earth with Eggs, but created human beings in “His Image.” Most religions assume that is an adult human being. Somehow, it is the woman’s fault that she is even pregnant and wants to consider how that affects HER life. Does anyone even remember that there was a MALE partner involved. I wonder how the largely male government would react to the idea that we could stop this endless debate by requiring men to take responsibility BEFORE there is even a fetus to consider. It seems a small effort when the woman has to go through NINE MONTHS developing a child and the often PAINFUL birth.

As an Independent voter (and free thinker), I notice that Democrats view open borders as way of procuring voters to their cause. However, it seems to me that Republicans are desperate to have unborn babies birthed to become Republican voters. Just sayin’………..

The SCOTIS vote to over turn Roe V Wade was first reported as 6 to 3 then changed to 5 to 4 because Chief Justice (in name only) “wanted to stop short of overturning” ? – – – Yet he agreed with the majority? Geez! That man should not be on the supreme court if he can’t figure out what to decide!

Good job SCOTUS for keeping federal government decentralized over rights and powers not outlined in the constitution. Abortion should have always been up to the states not the feds.

There is an outcry over disabled and tortured animals but those same people cheer the inhumane murder of unborn babies. They should watch the techniques used to slaughter babies.

Having children is not an easy task, and if your financially strapped, perhaps those that want to have intercourse should think about a form of contraception. Many are highly effective and can prevent some couples that don’t want a child from having to abort it.

No it’s not ever over, however, the timing to divert our federal tax dollars away from the abortion machine and toward counseling for those poor lost souls already here that have no respect for woman’s body is ripe.

Is there an address to send a money order to this organization? I’m afraid that if I donate on-line somebody is going to target me.

I think we’re missing the issue here. Whether we want to admit it or not, we are a republic and as such we must not give away our rights and freedom to the Federal Government. Abortion is not a constitutional right. I doubt abortion was ever a consideration of the founding fathers constructing the constitution. Whether abortion is legal or illegal is more a personal and emotional issue than a legal one and certainly not a constitutional one. The people of each state need to make that decision by popular vote. Not the Governor or some other political office – the people of that state. I firmly believe that tax monies should not be any part of the decision. Abortion, except for life saving, rape or incest is a personal decision, that is, it is your decision and is your financial responsibility – not mine.

Considering the plethora of contraceptives available today, why is abortion the first choice for birth control?

Amazing..protests about a woman’s right to murder her unborn then the gall to ask Government tax payer to fund it. 63 million murders since Roe vs. Wade. Not all 63 million murders placed the mother’s life at risk.!!. Who is protecting the LIFE of the unborn? “LIFE”, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Amendment V: no person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law. We need to define “person.” This living, feeling, kicking, being is a separate person from his/her mother and deserves the protection of law.

While discussing the mechanics of this issue, perhaps national moral copass considerations should be entertained. Individual, personal restraint and responsibility prior to impregnation should be emphasized. Perhaps, instead of deviously prooting CRT at all educational levels, schools, staff, instructors, janitors, groundskeepers should all be in accord with producing well-rounded graduates from thier institutions who will become stable and responsible citizens. And, don’t produce automobiles with bench seats.

1 in 5 births today is an abortion. California is trying to pass AB2223 which this bill would prohibit holding a person , the mother or a health care provider responsible for miscarriage, still birth, abortions, perinatal death which means 22 weeks of pregnancy and seven days AFTER birth
So it has come down you don’t like the sex, just murder the baby.

Think of someone you love. Anyone. Now, if that person’s mother, while pregnant with them, had had an abortion; would this person you know and love be dead? OF COURSE! It’s not complicated. The child in the womb is a developing SOMEONE. We just don’t know them. Can’t we–the oh so compassionate WE– allow them just a smidgen of worth? C’mon, let’s lean towards life. As difficult and inconvenient and maybe even unfair as it is; let’s recognize that ALL human life has a right to live. And since WE with the power are alive, let’s offer the innocent the same chance.

We were foster baby parents and young children back around 1970-1975. Then all of a sudden there were no more babies. We were blessed to adopt 2 children, who were not our foster babies.

Do you realize what the abortion pill does to that baby?
If you have had an abortion, there are support groups.

I am hearing a lot of talk on this site about how abortion is unnecessary since people can easily use birth control.

Does this mean that you are against any kind of ban on contraception? It is possible that this Court will overturn the ruling that legalized it nationwide, and that an energized conservative Congress could then use that ruling to pass a nationwide ban on birth control (just as they are planning to pass a nationwide ban on abortion once they have the votes).

Now that we are acknowledging that the “fetus” in the womb is truly a HUMAN BABY – I am looking forward to that baby having the same protections as other humans.

Meaning – a father should be liable for child support as SOON as impregnation takes place. If my daughter gets pregnant, I do not want her paying for her own prenatal care. The man involved needs to do his part, or else have his wages garnished just as it works with other child support. And “prenatal care” doesn’t just mean doctors’ visits. It means everything to do with health and nutrition of the mother since she is the one incubating the sacred life. That means rent, groceries, and other basic needs. (The father is allowed to claim the unborn baby as a dependent on his taxes as well.)

I am calling my congressional representatives and demanding that this be made law. Please join me – men especially!
