Richmond, Virginia –

Following a concerted outreach campaign from AMAC members, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin vetoed 16 of 17 legislative actions which would have further undermined election integrity and violated the sanctity of the ballot box.

In total, Virginia’s AMAC members sent nearly 800 messages to Governor Youngkin urging him to reject legislation which would have made it easier for non-citizens to vote, limited free speech, expanded ranked-choice voting, and reduced local control over elections.

Lynn Taylor, Chair of Virginia Fair Elections said, “AMAC Action has been a key partner in our mission to ensure free and fair elections in Virginia. AMAC’s members have diligently worked towards transparency in our electoral process, notably by reaching out to the Governor’s office to advocate for vetoes that prevent harmful legislative actions from infringing on our rights as Virginia voters. We commend AMAC’s Virginia members for their unwavering dedication and thank them for their ongoing support.”

With pivotal local, state, and federal elections on the horizon, AMAC Action will continue to keep its members informed on vital issues of election integrity and empower them to demand action from their elected officials.

Glenn Youngkin obviously cares about the idea of Constitutional Republic and his actions speak that way .To defend the voting system, that is right at the foundation of the concept of a Constitutional Republic. So, that puts him in the honorable category and that is a good place to be. I reckon I will just leave. it with that and thoughts about the spirit of doing what is right, how principles are what hold the Nation together.

Thank you AMAC!!! Your efforts to make sure we have election integrity will not go unnoticed. It is so very refreshing to see members getting involved and making sure they are heard and that they care!!! I have been trying to find out if my generation is even interested in the upcoming National Elections, because I have not heard much of anything from the Baby Boomers on any of the Social media posts.

Let’s hope the VA legislature doesn’t have the required number to override Younkin’s vetos.

It has become obvious to me we will have ‘election integrity’ ONLY IF the Left lets us have it.
