In response to Josie Taylors comment about passing a bill to stop congress from raiding our Social Security, if they passed a bill like that then that would be one less place that congress could steal and WASTE taxpayers hard earned money !
If Congress had never touched the SSI fund, then each recipient would receive @ $ 36,000 per year. Ask the average SSI recipient what they receive today!!

Need to stop this insane hideous crap with making everything electric when we have an electric grid that can hardly tolerate what’s going on now much less millions of cars being charged every day get rid of this idea it’s not going to work scientists will tell you it’s not going to work why don’t the politicians understand we can’t build that many batteries to begin with it will take over 400 years and that’s a fact

The cola raise is done by percentage. Someone that gets 2,000 a month. Gets twice the raise of a 1,000 a month person. Even more when you consider the rays from the year before. Take the cola percentage average. Dollar percent should be to everyone. This is why the poor seniors are suffering the most

Stop taxing retirees into poverty! Especially states like KY where you purchase a home, auto , trailer and your response for ins all liability and upkeep and still have to rent these properties back from the Schools systems, county and state in the form of taxation! Not is in TN and retirees stop paying school taxes in AL, SC! Help stop KY from taxes the retirees who built these towns and communities into poverty. We need to live out our golden years on our earnings and savings. Stop taxing retirees into poverty!!!!
If you move to KY to retire plan on being taxed into poverty before you pass on. Disgraceful!!!!

Best way to save social security is to stop using it as a piggy bank to fund special projects for the USHouse of Representatives. That money has already been spoken for and should not be touched by any member of congress. It belongs to the many hardworking people who throughout their whole life worked and had social security taxes taken out and thought they’d get that back when they retired or became disabled. I remember not so long ago Nancy Pelosi was funding an investigation with funds from social security. I wish I would have kept the article.

Congress owes (in IOU’s) money for SS. That needs to be paid back a % at a time each time money is given away to help another Foreign country.

The long term solution for funding both Social Security and Medicare is to increase the workforce participation. Currently only 62% American adults are working. If we could increase the number of people working instead of being dependent on government benefits, we could save both programs. The funding of Social Security and Medicare comes from payroll and self-employed taxes. In addition, the waste and fraud needs to be stopped.
