In Kavanaugh Fight, Democrats Embrace the ‘Maxine Waters’ Strategy

Mad Maxine Waters DemocratsHow is the “Maxine Waters” strategy working for Democrats?

In June, the California congresswoman exhorted an enthusiastic crowd of Democrats to confront Republican leaders “in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere!” she yelled.

“Already, you have members of your Cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants, who have protesters taking up at their house, who say, ‘No peace, no sleep.  No peace, no sleep,’” Waters told the crowd. “God is on OUR side!”

Maybe He is. But what about swing voters?

The scenes of angry anti-Kavanaugh activists shouting down senators on elevators, harassing them at airport terminals—even chasing them into the bathroom—are all over the media.  Following the advice of Rep. Waters, passionate Democrats are pushing their way into the faces of public officials and pronouncing them as “pro-rape,” often at the top of their lungs.

“You’re seeing the headquarters of the #Resistance right here on Capitol Hill, lead by the Democrats!,” a clearly-frustrated Sen. Charles Grassley said Friday morning.

The activists are certainly energized. More than 300 protesters were arrested by Capitol Hill police on Thursday alone.  But are they aware of the impact these images of screaming confrontations are having in living rooms and on laptops outside the beltway?  If the available data are any indication, the answer is: “Not good.”

“There’s been a wake-up call to the Republican base,”  Lee Miringoff, of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion told the Wall Street Journal.  His polling found that July’s 10-point advantage among voters who said November’s election is “very important” in July is now down to two points.

This shouldn’t be surprising. A recent Harvard/Harris poll found that a majority of voters think the Kavanaugh confirmation process was mishandled, and 69 percent say it has devolved into “a national disgrace.”  Democrats are on TV literally embracing that disgrace.  Is that a smart, swing-state strategy?

Most of the political analysis has focused on the impact to each party’s base. Pre-Kavanaugh, Democrats were at a 9.5 motivation level and Republicans were at a 6. Post-Kavanaugh, Democrats are at a 10 and Republicans are at a 9,” GOP strategist Andrew Surabian told the Daily Beast. But there’s been little public discussion on how less-partisan voters perceive this fight.  The Harvard/Harris poll seems to indicate that there’s a significant bloc of voters genuinely concerned about treating both Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Judge Brett Kavanaugh fairly. For example, 60 percent of voters said they would support Kavanaugh’s confirmation if the FBI investigation found no corroborating evidence.

And then there are these numbers: Marist shows the generic ballot among suburban women has gone from D+35 in early September to D+14 as of October 1st.  In Quinnipiac, the generic ballot numbers for all women have gone from D+14 in July to D +1 as of September 30.

Also, the Cook Political Report on Thursday moved the Montana US Senate race from “Lean Democrat” to “Toss Up,” and the New Jersey race from “Likely” Democrat to “Lean.”

Sen. David Purdue (R-GA) was one of the senators hounded by angry activists at Reagan Airport. His wife was with him, and she had the anger inflicted upon her, too.  When the senator stepped into an airport men’s room, the protesters shouted warnings at him: “You have to exit the bathroom at some point!”

Sen. Perdue took to the floor of the U.S. Senate afterwards and called out some of his fellow senators, as well as Rep. Waters, for using “the tactics of the Brownshirts in Germany in the 1930s.”

“Unacceptable. Totally irresponsible,” Purdue said. “This is America.”

Rep. Maxine Waters doesn’t agree. We will get a final answer from the American people in November.

She’ll get my answer all right! What a pethetic human. I’ve been saying this all along that their tactics are straight out of the Nazi handbook of Joseph Goebels propaganda and Roms Brown Shirts. These people that follow and listen to the democrats crap are nothing more than uneducated misinformed idiots that won’t give the truth a listen.

I’ve come to the conclusion that ALL Progressively Communist Democrats have one thing in common. That is that they have NO COMMON SENSE!!! … They do not have the ability to think logically to sort out fact from fiction. That makes them dangerously unable to cope with what is reality. It’s time to speak out and most importantly, to work to take back our country or it will become just another failed Socialist/Communist society that gives ultimate power and control to the ultra wealthy and their followers.

Maxine Waters is a very nasty woman, who has taken her hate of Republicans to a very high level which shows just what she will do to get her way like a bunch of kids on a playground, fighting over whose the best player of all. It is very sad to watch our “politicians” behave like grade school kids just to try to get their way. Shame on you, Maxine, and shame on all of you for not doing the job we pay you very nicely to do for us and you are not doing anything but causing trouble. GET TO WORK AND START DOING YOUR JOBS, NOVEMBER IS COMING VERY QUICKLY AND I KNOW I WILL THINK LONG AND HARD ABOUT HOW I WILL VOTE. YOU think about that long and hard and get off the media band wagon and get on with the business of we the people.

Plato listed the stages of government emphasizing that the democracy could easily fall to an Oligarchy who then censor the free speech of the public. Think of how Socrates felt he had a limited choice of options with the success of the Oligarchy and choose the Hemlock. Unfortunately our papers are full of the success of the Sillicon Valley Billionaires and their ties to the censorship of the media as publishers. Year after year these billionaires can’t find enough charities to give their money away to, while spending billions on political conformity, Plato’s Republic has today to respond to the worst forms of government responsiveness to the Oligarchy, its censorship and desire to undermine the democracy with George Soros’s shock troops.

Surely what Maxine Waters is saying through encouragement and doing publicly can be grounds for charging her with enticing democrats to riot. Isn’t that against the law. Surely Republicans being harassed at their homes and in public places have some recourse against these fools. Does any Republican have the backbone to step up and start proceedings against the likes of George Soros and his money, Maxine and her mouth, ordinary democrats and their bullying? Does anybody ever get disciplined for unlawful activities. Now, the greatest democrat law-breaker, Miss Hillary herself, is supporting with her mouth these activities because democrats should push back (what a mild statement for such violence) against Republicans who stand in the way of democrats getting their way in our government, a way they are so used to having these past four plus decades. I guess they believe that they are entitled to their form of government… Read more »

He can request some kind of punishment on Maxine Waters. It needs to be done.

Ha Ha Three hundred protesters is a tiny, tiny drop in the bucket in Washington D.C.. That number would be nothing if the liberal news media didn’t work so hard at trying to blow it out of proportion.
