Any city council that tries to recreate a police department will find that it will all turn out to be about the same as when they started. It will only have many more rules and restrictions for the police to manage. Many that had a passion to serve will see that the effort will not be worth the pay and lawful responsibility involved with the job. Now, if you want to talk about major restructuring, reform, and accountability; someone to police the police let’s get to work. One should respect authority and not be afraid of it no matter what your color. Cops who harbor racist behavior or attitudes, no matter what their color, need to go, an those “protectors” involved in rioting, looting, willful destruction of property or perpetrate harm on an individual need to be charged with a crime and go to prison with no option for bail.
