Oh my, 9/15. No good on the Oriental/European history. I’m too old to go back to school (67) now.

Would have gotten 12 out of 15 (instead of 11), except that I confused William III and William IV (shame on me!). Billy III (William of Orange) was the male half of “William and Mary,” appointed joint sovereigns for life by Parliament after the deposition of James II (the “Glorious Revolution”). Mary was the daughter of James II by his first wife, Anne Hyde, and thus the House of Stuart would have been perpetuated if William and Mary (and Queen Anne after them) had produced any surviving children. Bill IV wasn’t much more than a caretaker king, who came in after the death of George IV and conveniently died almost as soon as Victoria became of age.

I had 10 of 15 correct. I never heard of the “Glorious Revolution” in question 4.

See my comment … it explains the Glorious Revolution. An interesting bit of British history, and the cause of two Jacobite rebellions in the 1700s.

6/15. I need to study more history. I did well on the American history but horrible on oriental and the German people.

6/15. I’m 70 years old – sure looks like its time for me to go back to school. Same dilemma as Phyllis.

Only 10 out of 15. Apparently I don’t know enough about east Asian history or Nobel Peace Prize history. And I could stand to learn a few more details about European history.

The question never states that he was.

trick question , but way things are now, they will probably kick out Jefferson and put Hamilton in his place.

Does revised history repeat itself if ignored?

Well yes but it is rewritten by different authors.

Another part of that trick question is Hamilton died of a dueling wound he acquired in a dispute with Aaron Burr. So in a way he was assassinated.

My thought exactly. Thank you for the affirmation of my logic.

But still never a president.

That is correct. The question didn’t say he was a President it said, “Four Presidents were assassinated, Which of these men were not one of them.” Which made it extremely easy as Hamilton was never President. The three presidents listed were all assassinated which made it even easier.

THAT’s (one reason) why it’s the correct answer.
