For Trump, a Personnel Best

trumpWhen frustrated people decided to take things into their own hands January 6th, a lot of Americans got hurt. There were the actual victims — the men and women who lost their lives and others who were injured. But because of the Left’s double standard there were also good and decent Americans who will have to live with the fallout of what happened, even if they had nothing to do with it and even condemned the lawlessness. Some were there — like the peaceful protestors who desperately wanted to be counted. Others weren’t, but they were just as concerned about the future of elections after what happened in November. But the group that will suffer most are the people who deserve it least: the hard-working men and women of the Trump administration, who spent four, long years trying to set our nation right again.

When Marine One carries Donald Trump away from the White House for the last time, Americans won’t just be losing a president. They’ll be losing an army of tireless pro-lifers, freedom fighters, and deeply committed patriots too. Those are the men and women who, when the president was out front exchanging blows with the Left, kept their heads down — working as hard as humanly possible to make his conservative agenda a reality. They’re the ones who, despite the firestorm around them these last two weeks, pressed on — no matter how much mud the media slung their way.

In these last handful of days, while others might have been tempted to clean out their offices, these unsung heroes have worked until the final whistle — issuing rules, proclamations, and other policy changes that will make it harder for Joe Biden to undo what they’ve accomplished. Not surprisingly, the media isn’t interested in covering that story since it might interfere with the narrative that everyone who worked for this president is a bloodthirsty, racist insurrectionist. The truth is quite different. When all is said and done Wednesday, the conservative movement will be in a much better position because of the determination of men and women at every level of government. And we owe our friends a great debt of gratitude for it.

While the rest of the world is distracted with a flagrant display of the lawlessness at the Capitol, the rank and file of the Trump administration refused to let that stop them. With the president’s blessing, they’ve issued a preemptive proclamation on the National Sanctity of Human Life Day (which happens to fall on Joe Biden’s watch this Sunday) and School Choice Week. They’ve also taken the opportunity to tell any incoming extremists that if they think they can waltz in and abolish girls’ sports on some misguided legal authority, they’re wrong. And the Department of Education made sure to leave them a 13-page memo explaining why.

At the Department of Labor, Secretary Eugene Scalia used these last few days to publish a final rule on religious freedom, making it harder for the new administration to sever ties and contracts with faith-based groups. Our friends at HHS followed suit, making sure to leave one rule looming over Biden’s new agency. Under the Office of Civil Rights, Roger Severino’s team made it clear that a) hospitals and other federally-funded health centers have an obligation to help infants who survive an abortion; and b) that no one rations care or discriminates because of a patient’s disability. “This rule will promote the fundamental American principle that all lives are created with equal worth and dignity, no matter the circumstances…” Roger insisted.

Even the Office of Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) got in on the act, firing a warning shot to banks, savings associations, and other financial institutions eager to cancel accounts based on a customer’s political ideology or industry. If banks want sever ties with certain companies or people, they need to justify those decision “quantitatively and objectively,” OCC insists. “This is just a nondiscrimination principle. If you’re not going to serve somebody for a service that you have chosen to offer to others…then you have to do the homework and show why this person is risky.”

Interestingly, OCC’s move was in the works long before January 6, when Democrats started demanding that companies stop doing business with Republicans. The initial reason for the rule was because too many financial groups were blacklisting the oil industry. But now, with liberals demanding that banks crackdown on Trump officials and other conservatives, this new “fair access” policy might have arrived just in time.

Over at Homeland Security, even Chad Wolf’s decision to step down was done out of a desire to protect the agency’s accomplishments. After days of speculation about the reasons for Wolf’s resignation, he stopped by “Washington Watch” to set the record straight. He explained that over the last several months, his department has been tied up in litigation over whether his title as “Acting Secretary” (and his predecessor’s) gave him the authority to make certain decisions. After a handful of negative rulings, Wolf decided, “There was no longer a legal means to resolve these cases. So anything that I did going forward, even over the last eight to 10 days of the administration, would be litigated, would be challenged. And we were continuing to lose these cases, so I wanted to make sure that the consequential work that the department had done over the last four years was in good hands… I didn’t want to put the department at risk.”

It was a selfless act — something that’s come to define, not just DHS, but so many of the Trump administration’s leaders. So while the media and far-Left drone on about how ashamed Americans should be for supporting this president, I refuse to be. This administration wasn’t just about one man — it was about thousands of people living out their conviction for us. They leave these four years exhausted, but they should also leave them proud. Because regardless of how the chapter ended, the story of what they achieved matters.

Where can we write OUR PRESIDENT to thank him and his First Lady for their years of hard work? I refuse to be anxious about the state of our Union because I know God is in control. But having to sit under the rule of the current person whom I refuse to call my president and the socialistic legislative branch will take every bit of patience and trust in God that I have.

There were a couple of others who were true Americans and good for the country; however, Trump was the first since Truman to really bless Israel.

We are beginning to see the baleful consequences of unrestrained “openness ” with the hordes of Hondurans streaming toward our border
If they get in?
Without language or marketable skills they will migrate to our inner cities, fresh fodder for murderous gangs.
Compassionate is a virtue. Idiocy is a vice.
Our Second Amendment rights may just turn out to be more critical than we imagined.

Here’s your future America, now that senile, bumbling, mentally deficient biden is in office: Tax cuts eliminated, Tax Increases you won’t believe, a weaker military, a Prejudicial Court System, no checks and balances, Trade Deals that benefit certain members of Congress, Amnesty for 20 million illegals, millions of jobs will go away, we will again become Dependent on other countries for oil, a Health care system that allows politicians to make Your health care decisions, 2nd Amendment gone, Free Speech gone, Free Press non-existent, Big Tech becomes Big Brother, Rule of Law a joke, Violence, Poverty and Misery will be the “New Normal”, and you will become expendable if you raise your voice in opposition. Good job Democrats!.

The time has come for a Middle Class Party to represent us against the Establishment Dems and Repubs. They care only about maintaining and expanding their wealth, power and influence – we are of no consequence to them, except on election day. Trump fought for US, while the career politicians leave us singing in the wind.

Vincent, it is a long and sad history. The legislators in Congress are indeed a privileged class, or so they believe. Their mantra? “We’ve got ours, so to h*ll with the rest of you in the hinterlands”.
Can we hope one day there will be a party that truly represents us?
I am leaving my options open.

Unbeleivably stupid move on bidens part. Returning to what didnt work in the first place. There is a price for that this stupid man will pay, unfortunately, that price will be paid by our nation. Failed policies are called failed for a reason. also doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is insanity!

I’m sure I’m not alone in wishing President Trump and his family all the best in their chosen pursuits. That also goes for most members of his administration, who demonstrated dedication to their jobs and unfailing loyalty when half the country and most of the media were busy hurling projectiles in their direction.

Ashamed to support this president? NO WAY!! It’s no wonder the media and most of Congress are out to lunch on what’s really going on this country. But Trump knew.

Thank you President Trump and your administration for setting a new standard for what Washington D.C. is actually capable of doing. “Keep in touch!”

Now, we as conservatives, bind up the wounded and broken hearted and press onward toward the task that is before us. We will not faint or grow weary doing good. Dig in, persevere. As Winston Churchill said during England’s darkest days: “ We will never surrender!” Fellow conservatives, neither will we!

Two administrations in the last 60 years set the standard for what can be done to benefit the most Americans in a positive way. Those were Reagan and Trump. Both men were hated and despised by the so-called swamp or administrative state that exists inside the the Washington, D.C. beltway. The permanent, unelected bureaucracy that runs the machinery of our federal government. Reagan and Trump were also both hated and despised by not only the opposing party, the Democrats, but also by the establishment Republican party for they disrupted the old boys club status quo. Both Presidents insisted on actually getting things done, not merely endlessly talking about getting things done and then doing absolutely nothing.

We were indeed fortunate to have enough intelligence to elect both Reagan and Trump as Presidents in our life times. They both implemented and repaired, through their administrations, so much of the damage inflicted on the average citizens of this country and the nation as a whole. Damage inflicted not only by the policies of the Democrats, but also by the willing participation of a number of RINOs to help get those policies enacted.

It is now unlikely we will ever be empowered to elect such leaders ever again. The Democrats, the MSM and the establishment Republican party do learn from their previous mistakes, when in comes to protecting their own power. Today we swear in a new occupant to the White House, who has already outlined as his primary goal the complete reversal of everything Trump has accomplished and the imposition of a series of socialist policies designed to cement our nation’s adoption of socialism. As the old Chinese curse goes “May you live in interesting times”. We certainly will.

I, too, feel fortunate that we had 2 presidents who helped set a new standard for what the GOP represents (or should represent). Once Biden is finished “uniting” the country, I think Americans will again consider a person as bold and focused as President Trump. If Biden follows through with his radical agenda and ruins the economy, we will be begging for someone like Trump. But picking at a good candidate’s peccadilloes is fruitless, so the people need to get past all that.

People like Reagan and Trump, that are willing to endure the endless barrage from all sides in order to try and move the country forward in a positive direction, are few and far between. Very few and far between! Anyone in such a mold upon seeing the personal and professional wringer that President Trump had to endure non-stop since he first announced his intention to run in 2015, would be hard-pressed to see an upside to putting himself or herself through that experience.

People like Reagan and Trump don’t come from the professional political class, that have spent their entire adult lives feeding at the trough of public service. They come from the private sector, where a meritocracy exists that values performance and achievement over the empty style and little substance that dominates Washington politics in general.

I agree with you that most Americans, at least those on our side, will of course be desperate after a few years of Democrat rule. Especially after one socialist policy after another has been rammed through either legislatively or via executive order. However, finding a real, honest alternative candidate willing to put themselves out there will be the biggest challenge on our side. Simply settling on some warm body, empty suit with a (R) after his or her name, who can deliver a canned speech well, won’t deliver the changes the people will be looking for. Reagan and Trump succeeded so well, because they thought outside the conventional box that IS Washington, D.C. when it comes to solving problems. Career politicians can’t do that.
