For 2015 Our Premium for the Same Plan Jumped to $535 Per Month

From – AMAC Member Rick G.

We have a high deductible health plan with BCBSIL. $5000 individual and $10,0000 family. We were going to loose the plan as it was declared not in compliance with the ACA requirements. We were able to keep the plan at the last hour as Congress passed legislation that forced Obama to honor his words “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan”. Regardless my wife lost her doctor as he no longer was willing to be a BCBSIL Choice Provider, which presented the most affordable health insurance option. Our monthly premium for 2014 was $337 per month. For 2015 our premium for the same plan jumped to $535 per month. I see reports on the news that the 2016 BCBSIL policy premiums will have an average 29% increase. Hardly affordable health care. My wife and I are fortunately healthy and only use our insurance for well care check ups. Regardless, our premiums skyrocket every year. Instead of health insurance costing us $2500 less per year as the president promised our insurance cost will have more then double over a three year period.

The ACA is totally a fraud. It is not affordable and though one cannot be totally excluded, they exclude who you can see, etc. My family’s policy has the same deductible as before not lower , higher copays, and the cost just for me (not including any other of my family members) is more than we paid for the whole family last year. So we do not use it as we never used it much before and now being even more expensive, it is a useless product. It is just a goldmine for the insurance companies and their investors, and for the politicians who pushed it.
