  • The federal government is not ending funding or support for testing sites. Instead, the United States is broadening community-based testing under state control, which allows states to better serve their own communities with increased flexibility.
  • Testing continues to be offered at over 1,300 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) nationally, and federal funding allocated in the CARES Act provides states with the option to continue current drive-through testing sites.
  • The Trump Administration continues to provide support for retail and pharmacy testing partnerships in more than 600 locations.
  • Deregulatory actions taken by President Trump have enabled nearly 1,000 CVS stores to operate as testing sites through the traditional insurance and CMS billing structures. Hundreds of additional pharmacies are expected to follow this example in the coming months.
