The best time to think about Long Term Care coverage is BEFORE you need it. But how do you know exactly what you need or if you even qualify?
Will I Qualify?
Not everyone will qualify for long-term care insurance. But those who do not will qualify for other special programs and products offered by AMAC that are designed to lower the costs of providing long-term care. Want to see if you qualify? What is Long-Term Care?
Long-term care is a variety of services and supports that help to meet health or personal care needs over an extended period of time. Most long-term care is non-skilled personal care assistance, such as helping to perform everyday Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), which are:
- Using the Toilet
- Transferring (to or from bed or chair)
- Caring for incontinence
The goal of long-term care services is to help you maximize your independence and functioning at a time when you are unable to be fully independent. (For more detailed information about long-term care, please click the Need More Info? tab above).
