Nearly 50 AMAC members and friends gathered in Covington, KY for a Town Hall meeting with Representative Thomas Massie (KY-04) on August 20. Mr. Massie publicly expressed his gratitude for AMAC’s support of his Senior Citizens Tax Elimination Act legislation which reduces the tax burden on seniors. He also provided attendees with a clear and concise overview of just how the processes work in the House of Representatives. When answering questions regarding the high cost of prescription drugs, Congressman Massie cited an AMAC publication to explain how supply chain middlemen drive up these costs. The meeting was originally scheduled for one hour but lasted well beyond that time as the Congressman spent the majority of the meeting answering questions from his constituents. Mr. Massie also had the opportunity to meet with his newly appointed AMAC Delegate Marian Dunkerley, who also acquainted herself with key members of his staff.
