On behalf of the over two million members of AMAC – Association of Mature American Citizens, including over 6,600 members who live in LA-01, I write to offer our support for H.R. 1, the “Lower Energy Costs Act”.
As an organization comprised of many Americans concerned with our nation’s energy independence, AMAC was pleased to see your bill address the continued availability of our most important natural resources.
Your bill will ultimately facilitate American energy independence by supporting projects like the Keystone XL pipeline, reducing the Biden Administration’s interference in accessing our domestic natural resource supply, taking an estimated inventory of that supply, promoting and protecting applicable energy supply chains, fostering energy related international cooperation and collaboration in North America, and limiting the effect of administrative hurdles to success in national energy independence to the advantage of homeowners in the United States.
The benefit to the American people will manifest as increased energy supply and reduced energy costs, a
welcome reprieve in the face of crushing inflation. In addition, reducing our dependence on far off and foreign energy exporters reduces our exposure to energy supply chain manipulation and/or cancellation if our national interests conflict with those of our intercontinental suppliers.
