by Andrew Mangione – AMAC is proud to announce its support for a bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday. Introduced by Rep. Diane Black (R-TN), H.R. 2775, the “No Subsidies Without Verification Act” addresses a crucial change necessary to protect hard-working American taxpayers against the waste and fraud found in ObamaCare. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently released a 600-page document of new ObamaCare regulations, including a disturbing regulatory rule change that indicates that the government will no longer verify whether or not applicants for ObamaCare’s insurance exchange subsidies are actually qualified to receive that aid. Instead, the government has said it will allow individuals to “self attest” that he or she meets the income requirements in order to qualify for premium tax credits, with no further verification. To prevent the fraudulent distribution of these payments, H.R. 2775 rightly forces the government to comply with and enforce its own law, by mandating that a real-time verification system is instituted to confirm eligibility for the subsidies before any are awarded. As we continue to demand accountability from our elected leaders, AMAC remains confident that H.R. 2775 will achieve justice for all American taxpayers.

Your letter to Mrs. Black was a good birthday present. Living in Mrs. Black’s district in Tennessee I know she is in that office for “we the people”.
I just hope she never changes that attitude as so many politicians in the past have done.
