Congress “borrowed” the Baby Boomer Surplus to establish their own salaries and retirement packages which include free medical insurance for life and the life of their spouses. The Founding Fathers provided for their expenses in the Federal budget, so that they would remain members of the community they represented. Unfortunately, the people who voted themselves a salary, failed to remove that line item from the budget so they continue to receive expenses over and above their cushy salaries! This needs to be corrected, salaries revoked, and term limits implemented. Some of the people who voted for this Constitutional Abhorrence are still serving in Congress, Pelosi and Schumer in particular. Clinton was President when they did this, that was also when they started taxing our SS benefits. The result of this action was the first Republican run Congress in over 40 years when they won in 1994. It is my fervent hope that you can do something to correct this problem and get term limits for US!

I would like to see social security payments become tax free after age 70, or if taxed those moneys going directly back to the SS accounts.

Time to move away from government retirement (SS) to private retirement… allow tax free retirement savings accounts and 95% of SS deductions to go to them in lieu of receiving SS. I would trade in what I would be projected to get from SS or even what I put in with minimal interest to mange it myself and be free of SS. Government is not the best means of retirement. We need to get government out of health, education, unemployment, housing, retirement… everything it was never meant to be in and make it all tax free savings account.

No one should ever get less than what they are entitled… we just need to move people off… this will prevent fraud at the taxpayers cost too.
