AMAC Prays for Shooting Victims

prayers thoughts

After the tragic events that occurred in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas last weekend, AMAC offers our thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.

“Father, we ask You to send Your peace to those persons who are mourning. Continue to surround them with family, friends and loved ones who will offer words of comfort. Give them sweet and restful sleep. Father, remove the spirit of heaviness, and give them garments of praise. In due time, bless their lives to overflow with laughter and joy again. As they take refuge in You, please help them to put their trust in You. Holy Spirit, we ask that You settle the hearts and minds of those who are feeling any guilt, resentment, bitterness, or anger. Help them not to look back but to press forward.”

Thanks, AMAC, for having the boldness & compassion for writing a prayer instead of criticisms, slander, and divisiveness as the self-important, power-hungry politicians & media shell out. I hope & pray it is words like these that the victims and those left behind read & hear not all the trash & mean-spirited ignorance that is out there.

The guy who shot up the church in Texas was tossed out of the USAF because he “didn’t fit in”, yet the USAF told no one about his problems. The guy who shot up the college in SW VA was known to have mental problems, but no one told the FBI. The guy who shot up the elementary school in the NE US had mental problems, know to his mother, but no one in a position of authority knew. I could go on. I am 100% for extended background checks, but for a background check to work, there has to… Read more »

The legal system, ie. lawyers and judges are NOT administering justice in this country. These mad dog murders know that if they act they will go thru a lengthy legal circus and long drawn out court hearings. If they get convicted they will be sent to prison with three meals a day, volleyball and exercise rooms. How is this moral to make the (victim) innocent law abiding citizen pay taxes to support murders the rest of their lives in a prison resort? God fearing lawful judges need to send a message to any mad dog that takes innocent life, that… Read more »

Beautiful prayer. But, did the Democrats take the time to offer their prayers for the injured, the dead and their grieving families, and did any of them offer any kind of assistance to the grieving families, or was it “business as usual” for them???? The compassion was so lacking with the Democrats as they were quick to point fingers and then demand for stricter gun control….something they should have worked on way before any of these horrible tragedies had a chance to occur!!!! Ir seems they work better in the negative rather than being positive and unless they change their… Read more »
