BOHEMIA, NY — April 27, 2026 — AMAC — The Association of Mature American Citizens will host a free online member event, “Using Your my Social Security Account: Live Help with Online Tools and Resources,” on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM EDT.

The live webinar is designed to help attendees better understand and confidently navigate their my Social Security account. Whether they already have an account or need help getting started, this session will provide clear, practical guidance on using Social Security’s online tools and resources.

Trisha Mentzer, Social Insurance Specialist, Office of Communications, Social Security Administration. Trisha has worked for the agency for more than 11 years in a technical capacity and understands the compassion and work ethic needed to serve those in need across the country.

During the session, attendees will learn:

  • How to access benefit and payment information online
  • How to manage important account details
  • How to find helpful retirement resources available through Social Security’s website
  • Where to locate information about disability, survivor, and retirement benefits
  • Where to find resources related to family and spouse benefits
  • How to get started with a my Social Security account for the first time

How incredibly frustrating! These are always during my work hours. I haven’t been able to access my account for decades & have only been able to access it once or twice. I hate that social security is becoming less accessible, & I will have to work until age 70 to MAYBE get what I would have gotten at my FRA because of when the expected cuts come!
