The war against medical professionals mutilating children in the name of transgender ideology is not over, but it has taken a decisive turn this week. Like the thrilling victory on D-Day in World War II, a blow has been struck that puts a final victory in sight. Like the Allies in 1944, however, we must keep fighting.
Journalist Ben Ryan reported that Fox Varian, who had her breasts removed at the age of 16, was awarded $2 million on Friday by a jury in Westchester, New York. The 22-year-old, who no longer identifies as male, had sued both Simon Chin, the plastic surgeon who performed the surgery, and Kenneth Einhorn, her psychologist.
In an Epoch Times article published during the trial, Stacy Robinson reported that Varian’s mother, Clare Deacon, had testified that “psychologist Dr. Kenneth Einhorn insisted her daughter was at risk of harming herself since she was a teenager with depression and gender dysphoria.”
Though Deacon had said she would not approve the decision for a mastectomy and wanted the psychologist to focus on Varian’s other problems, such as her depression, autism, anorexia, body dysmorphia, and social anxiety, Einhorn insisted that “top surgery” was the only path forward. As Deacon testified, “This man was just so emphatic, and pushing and pushing, that I felt like there was no good decision.”
Though Deacon testified that she did not think Einhorn was intentionally malicious, she now believes he “was very, very wrong.” She described how, after being convinced to let the surgery happen, she became “physically ill.” The jury also decided that Einhorn and Chin were wrong and had made a serious “departure from the standard of care.”
Despite attorneys for Einhorn and Chin arguing that Varian brought up the possibility of surgery first and Deacon went along with it, it’s clear that the jury believed that the mother was manipulated into allowing her daughter to undergo this gruesome procedure. It probably didn’t help that Chin’s lawyer asked the jury what would have happened if they had not done the surgery and Varian had committed suicide – thus attempting the same sort of emotional blackmail on the jury that the pair used on Deacon. It is a positive sign that this popular argument made by trans activists (usually phrased as, “Would you rather have a live son or a dead daughter?”) no longer seems to have power over parents and jurors.
Thank God for this decision, which elevates the voices of parents and young men and women who were talked into such horrifying surgeries. For too long, these victims of the transgender medical complex, left scarred, disfigured, and confused by “professionals” promising to help them, have been viciously slandered and marginalized for speaking out about their experiences.
Ben Ryan, who attended the entire three-week trial and covers medicine on his Substack, has a list of 28 lawsuits by detransitioners to date, of which Varian’s is the first to both make it to trial and have a judgment rendered. Ryan observes that, though a number of the lawsuits “have run up against strict statutes of limitations,” appeals in these cases will continue to be made.
Further, Ryan believes that many of the appeals will be successful, as will the cases themselves. He really does think this is a kind of D-Day victory, writing, “My sources suggest that tort law might permanently destroy this field.”
More news reported on the same day as Varian’s victory seems to support this analysis: the University of Utah’s health system announced that they were “ending all remaining hormonal care for transgender youth.” The system there had already ceased to take in new patients after the passage of SB 16, a 2023 Utah law “which prohibited doctors from providing gender-affirming care to any new transgender youth patients.”
The University of Utah had, no doubt, like other health systems offering such “care,” been monitoring the case in New York.
It is important to remember, however, that even if the practice of chemically and physically mutilating confused kids is, God willing, eventually destroyed, there are a great many young people and their families still suffering the harm wrought on them by this corrupt medical regime. Fox Varian testified during her trial to the “shame” that she felt, adding, “It’s hard to face that you are disfigured for life.”
Also, despite the decision of institutions such as the University of Utah, there are still medical systems practicing this appalling and barbaric pseudo-care on others. Leor Sapir’s famous 2025 Free Press article, “‘We’re All Just Winging It’: What the Gender Doctors Say in Private,” detailed how medical professionals admitted they were doing these treatments without any real “supportive evidence.”
Readers can and should celebrate the victory in the battle at hand, but they also ought to keep fighting the war. And all of us ought to hold to account those politicians who have made possible and often funded this insanity.
As in any war, we also ought to make sure we help the wounded – as some organizations like the Themis Resource Fund are already committed to doing. Other groups, such as Sex Change Regret offer resources to detransitioners, parents, and anyone who has been affected in any way by “gender-affirming care.”
The war isn’t over. But the decision of the Westchester jury has turned the tide. We will make sure that no more doctors are “winging it” with the health of our young people.

Transgender ideology – the idea that someone is ‘born into the wrong body’ and can change their gender – is a mental disorder. It’s called gender dysphoria and it’s classified as a mental disorder by the American Psychiatric Association.
Liberalism should also be classified as a mental disorder.
Any so-called doctor performing these mutilations should have their medical license revoked immediately and prosecuted for child abuse. These idiots are physicians following in the footsteps of Ishi nd Mengele.

The main result of this lawsuit is that doctors and hospitals that perform these child mutilations will no longer be able to find insurance.

The University of Utah said they were ending it due to a new state ban that passed a few days ago that closes the loophole in the 2023 ban by forcing them to end it for existing patients too. And honestly, I see no reason to doubt that’s the reason since the new ban actually does force them to end all of these treatments for minors so it’s not like they’re could’ve kept the clinic open anyway…
Plus although it was the same day, the news that the University of Utah was ending these treatments broke at least 12 hours before a verdict in this case was issued so it’s probably just a coincidence that it happened on the same day.

Who are these people who tell children they can become another gender to begin with? Who puts this crap into their minds? For psychiatrists and doctors to go along with this to make money, what other reason could they have for going along with this BS, and performing mutilating medical procedures and prescribing harmful drugs, especially to minors, is definitely a malpractice if not a criminal offense. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, the only kids who should be subjected to this “stuff” should be those born with ambiguous genitalia, PERIOD!! The docs and the parents are involved with this and it’s appropriate. A chromosome study is done to determine whether XY, or XYYYY to the “nth” degree or XX. Sometimes an XY can’t be fixed to a male phenotype so converted to female. The testicles are generally undescended and have to be removed from the abdomen. Been there as I assisted at surgery to go after the undescended testicle hunting in the abdomen. Many times it was a male kid with an undescended testicle and the urologist would pull it down in the place were it belonged and didn’t have anything to do with a sex change operation.
Sometimes the operation had to be staged and I saw that as the cords and “vascularity” had to lengthen before the thing was put in the rightful place.
Putting kids through this sex change “chit” no matter what their view should be outlawed to the “Nth” degree.
If they get to the age of consent and want to pay out of pocket for this “chit” then by all means. They can go for it.
As a stepmother of a transgender adult, who identifies as female, I could see the devastation his decision caused, not only for him, but for us and anyone else who knew him.
He decided to be castrated, after going to a transgender clinic in Minnesota. From that point on, if we dared accidentally said he, he would curse at us and state he had been happier since he transitioned.
This was a young man who had been under mental care since he was a child. Instead of recognizing that he had this situation, that clinic gave him hormonal pills, telling him he was going to have very large breasts. He boasted about it. I tried being supportive, but he was abusive to me. Not physically. Well, not anymore. He tried to break his Dad and me up. That wasn’t happening. So he turned on his Dad.
He moved from Minnesota to Colorado, shortly after his surgery. He has been raped and mugged more than once. His life was miserable. Yet he kept saying he’s happier than he has ever been identifying as a male.
I don’t understand how a person, who has been so severely abused, could consider themselves happy. If you ask me, it proves that he is mentally ill. He was being treated for many mental illnesses when he moved to Minnesota.
Those doctors, who removed his testicles, are monsters, in my opinion. I’m not going to say what I’m thinking. It’s horrendous, even to me.
He ended up in a male prison. At this point, identifying as female, he was hounded constantly. So he demanded to be sent to a woman’s prison. The authorities decided it was best. The women also treated him like he was a freak.
While he was there, we sent him care packages he chose himself. When he got back out, the abusive texts started all over again.
One thing about Jr. is, he doesn’t have normal filters and thinks he can say anything he wants to anyone. That has gotten him into a lot of trouble with a lot of people. The guy is mentally ill. The last I saw, on his facebook page, was that he was marrying an older guy in a wheelchair. I’m sure that was his way of getting off the streets. He would use older men, for this reason. It happened in Minnesota, wherein the guy’s son kicked Jr out and put his Dad in a facility to get help. Jr. had him convinced he was a homosexual. His son was devastated. Then he moved to Colorado and found vulnerable men to use.
About five years ago, he decided, since his Dad was not going to quit calling him a he, to cut him off. We haven’t heard from him in all this time.
Jr. has the mind of a much younger person plus being mentally ill. No system should have ever done that surgery on him.
If someone had told you it would be this widespread/rampant back when Renee Richards first came along, would you have believed it? Yeah. Me, neither….

The teenage years of our young people are extremely important and vulnerable years of their lives. They are molded into whatever they are as adults in those years of their life. Manipulating them at that point in time can either make them into winners or losers in life. Whoever is responsible for this great travesty, and I’m sure it’s not a certain individual, must be exposed and treated accordingly. We cannot allow our greatest resource be destroyed. Our society depends upon a sound and rational next generation to survive and carry the torch. The future of humanity depends upon it.

Although I celebrate this victory, we have much more to overcome. Why do our youth today feel so disengaged from who they are and what it means to live? This system is indoctrinating our young minds with horror, from body mutilation to trafficking, and it often fails to recognize the warning signs before problems spiral out of control. I know this all too well, especially when it comes to drugs. The system has changed, and above all else, we must address these issues with love and patience. It’s not easy for anyone involved. Nothing outside of us is created to hurt us, and when it does, we can’t fall for the illusion. This is what we call evil. Love yourself despite change. It is an eternal call of our minds to fight, as the youth are our greatest hope for the future—a generation of loved beings.
The left doesn’t acknowledge that 70% of those having reassignment commit suicide within 5 years. And in my 73 years am yet to see a pregnant man. We have people who accept this idiocy voting and running our country. No wonder things are a mess.

A 3 week trial to re-establish common sense.
Having those considered to be children subjected to sex altering operations is nothing less than child abuse. The age of consent for such operations needs to be subjected to the age a person is completely considered adult enough to make any decision for themselves. If one must be 21 to consent to drinking alcohol, then 21 needs to be the age that person must be before consenting to or being subjected to sex altering operations.
Only medical doctors and the adult person should have any right to be involved in the decision to sexually alter anyone’s body.

Unfortunately, in the course of human events, extremes are allowed that defeat the purposes they purport to solve.
