Talk about life coming at us fast! I don’t know about you, but only now have I begun to settle into the reality of our success on Election Day. But we remain in a time when significant events are happening every day. And multiple times a day! While each of these events are worthy of their own commentary, I wanted to brief you on news that you could not miss and which you very well may have.

Within 24 hours of writing this column, former representative Matt Gaetz withdrew his name as President Trump’s nominee for Attorney General. That came as a surprise to many, but reports are saying that after multiple meetings with senators, it became clear that there was too much opposition to his nomination. What now? There are a few paths forward, including possibly being named by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to fill Marco Rubio’s senate seat.

On the same day that Gaetz withdrew, President Trump continued the rapid action we’ve seen from the moment he became the president-elect. Within hours, he announced former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as his new nominee for Attorney General. This was met with universal praise on social media by Trump’s circle and supporters of the president. Bondi was a prosecutor in Florida for 20 years, and the state’s AG for eight years, from 2011-2019. She also happened to be the first woman to hold that office. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with and interviewing her a number of times and found her to be sharp, confident, and ready for anything. She’s a brilliant attorney and will make an excellent attorney general.

Closing out another unnecessary drama fed by the panic of the Democrats, Democrat senator Bob Casey finally conceded to Republican challenger Dave McCormick for the Pennsylvania Senate seat, ending an ongoing recount. Casey spent weeks contesting the results despite no path to victory. All this was happening while a Bucks County commissioner caused a stunning scandal by publicly announcing they would ignore a Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision and count invalid ballots. After national outrage, one commissioner attempted to clean up her remarks by saying they were “inartfully worded,” and taken out of context. Despite all that being said, very clearly and in context, on a viral video.

Both of these situations reveal politicians enmeshed in an establishment status quo that was not used to being held to account. We’re seeing confusion and panic from people who have become used to being the sole arbiters of right and wrong and want to maintain their position and power. It is just one more example of how much work there is to do as we confront entrenched elites who simply do not want to let go of what they mistakenly believe belongs only to them.

And there’s more. A new congressional investigation reveals the extremely disturbing history of the Capitol Police officer who killed Ashli Babbitt during the January 6th riots. Just the News reports, “The Capitol Police officer who fatally shot Ashli Babbitt during the Jan. 6 riots and then was promoted has a lengthy internal affairs and disciplinary record that includes firearm-related incidents, a sweeping congressional investigation has found. The issues in Captain Michael Byrd’s background included a failed shotgun qualification test, a failed FBI background check for a weapon’s purchase, a 33-day suspension for a lost weapon, and a referral to Maryland state prosecutors for firing his gun at a stolen car fleeing his neighborhood, according to congressional and police documents obtained by Just the News.”

While all of this remains heartbreaking, Jonathan Turley reminds us that the Babbitt family’s wrongful death civil suit will go to trial in July of 2026. That’s a long way off, but a congressional report this detailed and shocking may play a significant role in Ashli’s family getting some kind of justice. This tragic story is one more piece of a putrid puzzle bringing together so many elements of government corruption, incompetence, and an abandonment of the American people in general.

Closing out this week, it’s also worth noting to be careful when hearing that Trump’s sweeping victory indicates that woke is dead and Americans are forever ready for a renaissance of which our nation is worthy. Trump’s victory was a magnificent turn of events with historic repercussions, but we cannot ignore the fact that over 74 million people voted for Kamala Harris, despite the damage she has done as vice president, and her refusal to address the issues important to Americans.

Usually, when someone refuses to answer your questions or tell you what their plans are, it’s because they’re hiding something they know you won’t like. And yet, as vote counting is finally winding down in certain states like deep blue California, Harris won the second-most votes of any Democratic nominee ever. National Review reports, “Harris has, as of this writing, the fourth-most votes of any presidential candidate in U.S. history, the most by any woman, and the second-most by any Democrat, ever. She’s won about 4 million more votes than Barack Obama in 2008, 7.2 million more votes than Obama in 2012, 7.3 million more votes than Hillary Clinton, and 10.1 million more votes than Donald Trump in 2016.”

Moreover, “And while Trump’s victory was an indisputable romp, Harris came within 29,687 votes of winning Wisconsin, 79,568 votes of winning Michigan, and 130,584 votes of winning Pennsylvania, In other words, if about 241,000 votes in three states had gone the other way, Harris would be president,” noted the NR.

Now is the time to revel in Trump’s victory and plan how to make his second term a resounding success. But it must be coupled with an understanding that nothing ever stops the left. They are unfamiliar with soul-searching, remorse, or guilt. They do not “learn lessons” because the groupthink in which they wallow assures them they have sole possession of the truth.

Our work demands a focus and discipline to enact the Trump agenda, but also dismantle the lies which feed the gaslighting and fear the Democrats use to manipulate and control people. The election results make it clear the American people are ready for a different path— and to keep those Americans on the side of a strong, safe, and prosperous America, we must deliver on policy while also exposing the Democrats and their leftist handlers as the fear-mongering frauds they are.

The capitol police officer committed murder on that day. He shot her in the back. The capitol riots were set up by the dems. I am convinced of that. The undercover FBI agents urged the people to go inside and the capitol police opened the doors for them and then once inside they walked around like a tourist. And capitol police treated them like they were on a tour of the capitol. There was no coup. The people wanted to be heard. The courts were not doing their duty to investigate the election. And the 2024 election has proven there was fraud in 2020. We have never seen all the videos taken that day. It is like Kennedy’s assassination. The people cannot know what actually happened. My hope is that Ashley’s family will find closure. But 6 years after makes for fuzzy memories by the witnesses. Luckily we have Trump in the White House. And maybe Captain Byrd will be charged and convicted of murder. He is a felon. Open and shut case.

I agree with Tammy….lets not pat ourselves on the back yet….The dems are wheeling and dealing in the back room. They are looking for the reckoning………

Yes, We the People cannot sit and rest as the entrenched regime certainly won’t. You can already hear rumblings in Congress about Trump’s picks for his Cabinet.
Evil does not play by the rules and never has. WE must stand our ground and DEMAND our elected officials do as WE demand.

The Dems will ignore the voter majority and plot their schemes to diminish Trump and the voice of conservatives and advance the plans of the far left wing of the dem party. They have showed very little interest in serving the American people, only interested in advancing their agendas which have poorly affected the lives of working families in this country.

I agree Pam Bondi will be a great AG. Ken Paxton in Texas and Mr. Whittaker also come to mind if the RINOS pull the same resistance that Gaetz experienced. Praying that the family of Ashli Babbitt gets its due closure. The mainstream media should be ashamed for making Byrd out to be a hero, but they have no conscience. Scott Presler (sp) is a warrior for his voter registration movement in PA! He showed that his work is far from done, when he recently confronted the Bucks County commissioners after that liberal witch defied the PA Supreme Court ruling. Imagine Trump defying circuit court rulings that impede his MAGA agenda. That’s something I would LOVE to see.

Yeah, if SHAMala got almost a quarter of a MILLION more votes in 3 states, she would have won but Trump DID win those 3 blue states with legal votes. She didn’t get any red states, did she?

Hope Bondi’s first job is to recommend pardons for all J6ers who did no violence. So many held without bail for simple trespassing on the Capitol grounds or going inside after being waved in by the Capitol police. Could someone please tell us EXACTLY how many “protestors” actually hurt someone AND how many federal agents and federal assets were in the crowd?

Excellent article by Tammy Bruce. I believe that Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats engineered January 6th. Pelosi refused additional law officers for that day. The fact that Capitol Police removed barriers and allowed people into the Capitol tells you that this was a set up. Of course the MSM jumped right in and blamed Trump, selectively editing his comments about marching “peacefully”….

There is no, Harris as a Nominee. She was placed, no one voted her to be a candidate of anything!
And in all the states you mentioned, did I not see late night ballot surge?

Tammy should know…she was once one of them. It is horrible what a few in this country can do to turn the entire country upside down and inside out. We all must stop listening to the legacy media, listen to both sides of an issue, and make up our own minds. Harris got that many votes 1. because of Trump derangement syndrome and 2. that die hard Democrats will not admit when they are wrong. They blindly follow their elected leaders, no matter what, no matter how bad they are. I know of few of those! Just look at the comment Woopie Goldberg made on national television that she didn’t care what kind of shape Joe Biden was in, she’d vote for him anyway. Too many people are in that same boat. Until journalism that is like it was when I was growing up comes back, people will not know what is truly going on. Gone are the days of Peter Jennings, Walter Cronkite just to name a few. They told both sides of a story, They reported the news, good or bad. They did not leave out half of a story, just because they didn’t like or agree with the person they were reporting on. It is evident that at least some people are waking up by the fact that these “news” channels are losing viewers. They do not report the news, they report their biased views. And Tammy is correct….the Democrats will not stop trying to undermine the Democratic process and turn this country into a socialist regime.

yes, the video of byrd shooting thru the glass doors was chilling and displayed cowardice – I always wonder what would have happened if he was a white man? – look at what is happening in the New York persecution of Daniel Penny. Isnt it obvious that there is great deal of prejudice against white people?. It sure is obvious to me.

Even Though the rest of us Knew what Harris’s plans were if you paid attention before the last 2 months before the election ! The Marxists IN the Media and the Democrat party Blatantly LIED to the public and their supporters by hiding what she (they) had planned !
She FLIPPED on everything she said she would do before they installed her as their nominee ! And the Media Hid it from their supporters !
For that simple and obvious reason everyone should seriously consider where they get their “news” from because their Still Lying to you !

Usually Ms Bruce is a decent source but this article I would grade a Fail! The info on Lt Byrd had been reported 3 years ago making it to press here is just filling space. Not mentioning that the lost weapon charge was possibly the loaded firearm Byrd left in the men’s room is poor reporting. Anyone not aware of the cover up the democrats did for Byrd to include not releasing his name and hiding him for several months from the public just has not been following the facts. .
I hope AMAC readers expect more and judging from Ms Bruce’s previous posts, she can deliver a better report than this.
