What is journaling?

Journaling is the act of recording personal thoughts, feelings, and inspirations on paper or on a device like a computer. It is like keeping a diary; however, diaries concentrate on recording daily experiences whereas journals focus on ideas, inspiration, and personal growth.

A healthy activity!

 Journaling is a desirable activity. Here are some benefits:

  • It calls for contemplation.
  • It’s a creative outlet for ideas.
  • It’s a productive use of energy.
  • It encourages self-awareness.
  • It promotes personal growth.
  • It fosters honesty and openness.
  • It puts things into perspective.
  • It helps people problem solve.
  • It may reduce mental anxiety.
  • It may promote physical healing.

This change of mindset can help me achieve my career goals to study abroad to become a pastry chef.

Journal experience: I love this quote. Often, I copy Hollywood celebrity styles. I try to mimic their fashions and follow the latest hair and makeup trends. But essentially, when I dress up like them, I don’t feel like myself. Though imitation is a sincere form of flattery, I lose myself trying to be like someone else. Truth is, I don’t care about impressing others. I feel most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, wearing my hair down, and keeping my makeup light and natural. Maybe it’s time I start exploring my own style and celebrating my uniqueness! After all, I’m tired of copying styles and there is only one me!
