Calls-to-Action
WIN | 1-19-2024 Defend Children and Parental Rights from Radical Transgender Activism (Ohio Senate effort)
Ohio State Senators joined their counterparts in the Ohio House and overrode Governor Mike DeWine’s veto of the SAFE Act, a bill that prevents biological boys from participating in girls’ sports and bans mutilating transgender surgeries for minors. The vote in the Senate was 23-9, another overwhelming vote regarding this veto. The SAFE Act will become law in 90 days. AMAC members participated in a total of four call-to-action campaigns directed to both legislative chambers and contacted their State Representatives and Senators with nearly 3,300 messages compelling them to override the Governor’s veto. Another great job by a highly engaged AMAC state membership.
