Chapter Meeting Notes 

January 4: KS-04 Delegate Don Henry attended a meeting of the “Harvey County Patriots” in Newton, KS. The group of 20 discussed current events and AMAC Action updates.  

January 9: KS-04 Delegate Topic: Introductory meeting with State Representative Nick Hoheisel, State House Representative Bill Rhiley, State Senator Dan Kerschen, and State Senator Larry Alley. AMAC, AMAC Action, and possible participation in a future All State Kansas meeting were discussed. One of the senators made a follow up phone call requesting more AMAC and AMAC Action materials. 

January 9: AZ-08 Chapter Leader Nikki Colletti  Speaker(s): Staff of AZ Free Enterprise Club, Byron Soepyan of Soepyan/Wrighstone CO Coalition, Linnea Lueken of the Heartland Institute & Kristen Eastlick of Capital Research Center and various elected official including Rep Austin Smith from LD 29, Rep Barbara Parker from LD 10 Topic(s): This was the 3rd annual Legislative Roll Out marking the beginning of the 2024 AZ Legislative session and the coalition focus for this session.  The session focused on the ICE vehicles, the electrical grid and our gas stoves. 

January 10: OH All State Meeting with Chapter Leader Mark Maltbie.  Speaker(s): Matt A Mayer, President of Opportunity Ohio. Topic(s): Discussed Ohio Constitutional amendments on the horizon for 2024. Andy Mangione discussed activity by AMAC Action during 2023, wins, and On Our Radar in 2024. Matt discussed why Ohio is falling behind, why politicians are not reversing the trends, and what needs to be done. 

January 15: AZ-08 Chapter Leader Nikki Colletti and State Advocate Representative for the Upper Mid-West John Whelan.  Topic(s): Even on vacation, our advocates are working hard.  John is in Arizona for a month, so they decided to get together and chat about “happenings” here in AZ & organizationally. Jim Pinkelman, AZ-08 delegate was also in attendance. They discussed the strategy of the upcoming Congressional Candidate forum, Arizona issues, and the beginning of the legislative session. All in all, great info, with ideas and foresight into what’s ahead and a chance for advocates to meet each other in person. 

January 15: IA-03 Delegate Jim De Kruif.  Topic(s): Jim attended the Iowa Presidential Caucus. While in attendance he spoke to Congressman Andrew Clyde of Georgia who was there to speak on behalf of President Trump. He was not familiar with AMAC, so he was given a short introduction of what AMAC Action does. He also spoke with former Governor/China Ambassador Terry Branstad. 

January 16: KS-04 Delegate Barb Schwerman Speaker: John Axtell Topic: Kansas Legal Tender Act and the Importance of Sound Money. The speaker reviewed the history of the Constitution through the present. Chapter members appreciated the presentation. 

January 16: GA-06 Chapter Leader Gary Henderson.  Topic(s):  Chapter meeting held to discuss recent redistricting and activities of the Georgia state Legislature.

Latest AMAC Action Support Letter “Win 

118-H.R.6914 – Pregnant Students’ Rights Act 

This pro-life act passed the House on January 18 by a margin of 212 – 207, a great win for expectant mothers attending colleges and universities, a great win for their unborn children, and a great win for the sanctity of life!
