Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) CEO Rebecca Weber joins both Heritage Action and the Family Research Council in strongly recommending that Ohio Governor DeWine not veto H.B. 68, called the Saving Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act, which is aimed at protecting Ohio minors from gender-transition procedures or from being diagnosed or subjected to gender transition counseling without the consent of at least one parent, legal custodian, or guardian. It also protects parents from losing custody over this issue.

CEO Weber stated, “I fully agree with the statements of my colleagues at Heritage Action and the Family Research Council that vetoing this legislation will have devastating consequences for Ohio’s children, unless the legislature moves to override. We need to protect our vulnerable children from being induced to undergoing such procedures, which have permanent effect – and increasingly lifelong sadness, negative side effects, and regret, as a result. Parents have a responsibility to assure the well-being of their children and protect them from such pressures and actions. Sadly, the suicide rates of people who have undergone such procedures is reportedly at a much higher rate than the rest of the population.”

Weber continued, “If indeed the Governor vetoes this legislation, it is an unconscionable act. Hopefully, the Ohio legislature will override his veto.”

Praise for Rebecca Weber , the Heritage Action and the Family Research Council for taking a stand on this Saving Adolescents from Experimentation ( Safe ) Act. People who respect life, who respect the qualities that make for good character , and who value the ideals of Faith , Family and Freedom should appreciate your efforts . In the spirit of God bless America, land of the free and the home of the brave. All of the enemies of freedom who want to degrade the United States of America in anyway they think possible should realize that Americans who live by a code of conduct – that involves having Honor, Honesty, Integrity, Courage and Loyalty – we will defend the principles that have been around since the signing of the Declaration of Independence , and are dedicated to the reverence for the will of God . Issues that send a clear message to all are part of the foundation that holds this Nation together. This H.B. 68 issue is important and Rebecca Weber, Heritage Action and Family Research Council have done a great service for civilization with their standing up for what is honorable and right .

Let me get this straight : children under the age of 18 can’t vote, drive cars, be given aspirin in school without parental consent and enter into contracts yet we’re supposed to believe that they’re mature enough to consent to sex changes? Give me a break/

The people behind HB 68 are drug companies and radicals. This crap should be outlawed in all states. These children can’t vote or do many other things in our society but them and others potentially have the right to change their lives forever. These types of actions are crimes against humanity and need to be stopped immediately and the people responsible should go to prison and have their companies taken over.

The governor ought to be kicked out of the republican party as well. Although what he did was legal, I hope the legislators override his veto quickly, then kick him out of the party!

As an Ohio citizen, I sent Dewine a note of extreme disappointment and told him him in so many words how he was using the same argument the left did , fooling people by lies, causing issue 1to fail in November ..which supposedly he was for also, though many people thought he wasn’t forceful enough in promoting. Dewine’s problem is he is so unpredictable. He keeps flip flopping conservative issues rendering him a RINO when the dust settles.

Absolutely Common sense I think we can find ways to help the 1% without violating the 99%. And he needs more time to think and reflect ?
