AMAC Exclusive – By Shane Harris

Biden

As President Joe Biden returned from his surprise tour of Eastern Europe on Wednesday, former President Donald Trump was on his way to East Palestine, Ohio, to meet with residents of the small blue-collar community that was devastated by one of the country’s worst environmental disasters in decades earlier this month. The contrast between the travel plans of the 45th and 46th presidents this week perfectly captured the stark differences in their leadership priorities – and provided yet another damning indictment of Biden’s presidency.

“I thought it was critical that there not be any doubt, none whatsoever, about U.S. support for Ukraine in the war,” Biden said during his time in Kyiv. But with more than $110 billion in aid already committed to Ukraine since the start of the conflict (nearly twice Russia’s entire annual military budget) and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy receiving a hero’s welcome at the White House and a fawning reception by Congress last year, one might be forgiven for wondering just who Biden thought he needed to convince.

To the contrary, at a time when he is facing mounting concerns, including from many within the Democrat Party, that he is mentally and physically unfit for office, President Biden should be more concerned about convincing ordinary Americans that he cares about them. Many believe Biden’s trip to Kiev revealed a callous president who is far more interested in showing solidarity with Ukrainians than Americans.

While Biden found time to participate in an intricate covert operation that involved a 10-hour train ride under the cover of darkness to visit Ukraine, he has so far failed to make the one-hour flight from Washington, D.C., to northeast Ohio, where a train derailment earlier this month sent toxic chemicals spilling into the air and waterways. East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway called it a “slap in the face” that Biden was “in the Ukraine giving millions of dollars away to people over there” while people in his community suffered. “That tells you right now he doesn’t care about us,” Conaway said.

Visiting East Palestine soon after the disaster should have been a no-brainer for Biden, someone who has long sought to brand himself as a “unifier.” Presidents routinely travel to disaster areas to boost morale and draw media attention to Americans in need, and they typically earn bipartisan praise as a result.

But Biden hadn’t even dispatched his hapless Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, to the site of the crash. Both Buttigieg and Biden failed to even comment on the environmental catastrophe for nearly a week, and the White House rejected requests for emergency funding from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. When confronted by a reporter on the streets of D.C. about his failure to go to Ohio, Buttigieg refused to answer, saying he was taking “personal time” and that the reporter should watch interviews he had given earlier in the day.

Instead, it was former President Trump who traveled to Ohio to meet with people affected by the disaster on Wednesday. Hours ahead of his arrival, truckloads of food and bottled water were distributed to the people of East Palestine – contributions all arranged by Trump. While Biden was in the air on his way back from Poland, Trump was on the ground buying lunch for firefighters and first responders, later saying that his message for Biden was “get over here.” In just a few hours, the 45th president showed more leadership in facing down a crisis than anyone in the Biden administration has in more than two weeks.

On Tuesday, the day before his visit, Trump also released a video slamming what he called the “America Last” approach that has seen Biden and other leaders – including some Republicans – turn their attention abroad while Americans like those in Ohio suffer. “At the end of my next four years, the warmongers, and frauds, and failures in the senior ranks of our government will all be gone, and we will have a new group of competent national security officials who believe in defending America’s vital interests above all else,” Trump promised.

Just hours earlier, Biden had taken the stage in Warsaw, Poland, to offer the exact opposite vision for the future. In a speech full of references to acting in accordance with the interests of a “worldwide coalition” rather than interests of the United States, Biden in effect doubled down on his embrace of a globalist first outlook on world affairs, rather than one that puts American interests first. Biden declared that there “will continue to be hard and very bitter days,” further calling on the “coalition” to “build” a new world.

In an ominous sign, Biden’s remarks in Poland came just before Putin announced that Moscow would end its participation in the last remaining nuclear arms treaty with the U.S. While promising unity and peace, Biden has failed to achieve either, and in the process has neglected citizens of his own country whom Biden is constitutionally sworn to serve, but whom he continues to ignore. Unfortunately for the American people, it looks like it may take a new leader – or the return of an old one – to change that.

Where do we start with a president like joe biden? Our economy? Our personal financial security? National security? The “mishap” in Afghanistan? Loss of trust in government and media? Meteoric increases in crime rates? You name it; there isn’t one issue he hasn’t bungled. I think the 4,000+ families grieving over their losses last year to Chinese-Mexican fentanyl in my state (NC) have an idea about where to start with biden.

It’s all because of a mentally deficient president who has not an iota of compassion running through his veins. If he paid 10% of the interest he showers on Ukraine on citizens in his homeland, we might be reassured that he actually does care for our country. I want to see Ukraine win this war, too, but, my goodness, give them what they need to bring a decisive end to this conflict. And bring down the price of oil (drill!) so Putin wouldn’t have as much to spend on his tyrannical ambitions.

Residents of East Palestine, Ohio know they’d have been better off with someone else–anyone else–as president. Mayor Pete–a total loss. Good for President Trump for doing The Right Thing and showing sincere interest in the wellbeing of thousands of people. The whole damm country would fall apart at the seams if it weren’t for Trump and other effective leaders like him.

Biden cares about money and power. That’s it! He may be a little more covert than Putin, but he’s not that much different. Emperor Biden is fiddling while Rome is burning. And he blames everyone else, when he’s the one who started the fire. Trump has proven that when he promises something, he follows through. Unlike most politicians, Trump doesn’t make promises just to get elected, he keeps his promises. I’m not surprised that he’s in Ohio supporting the people of East Palestine. Trump is one of the greatest leaders in my lifetime. MAGA!

Biden was unfit to serve in any public position, much less POTUS, for at least a decade (and longer if you consider his honesty and abuse of power). No thanks to the apparent majority of DelUNaware voter population for seeding the political forum with a pure criminal and his crooked relatives.

The law which you haters cite was passed in 2015. In case you cannot count, Trump wasn’t even elected until 2016. “Sixteen is HIGHER than fifteen”

It’s too bad that people like you, Fred R. Smith, can’t get past your hate and see what is truthfully happening in and to this country. Either that, or you are one of instigators of the discord that America is dealing with currently. My guess is that President Trump could discover the cure for all cancer, give that discovery freely to the world, and you and your cronies would accuse him of stealing it and then holding the world hostage for billions. You sir, I believe are a lost cause and in a war zone or God forbid, a US civil insurrection, would be one of the first to go IMHO.

This shows that Biden doesn’t care about Americans!! Joe doesn’t go there to comfort the affected ones but he will spend billions taking care of many other countries!!! He also spends lots of our tax dollars flying around the world sometimes to even talk about the environment!! And his Transportation Secretary is just a joke – he doesn’t have a clue what they are doing and is as big of an embarrassment as Biden and Kamala are!!!

So, Fred, where was your guy?? He was off to Ukraine, where some of his money comes from, and where a lot of our money is going, where he was giving some useless speech!! And his protege, Buttigieg, is perfect for this administration because he, like his mentor, doesn’t have a clue what he is doing!! And your “it’s Trumps fault” just doesn’t fly!!! How many polities of the Trump administration were changed immediately upon Joe’s unfortunate arrival at the White House!!

You have truly participated in the Kool-aid drinking!!!

when their lack of proper policy and horrendous ideas result in disaster they are paralyzed, actionless, speechless and totally dumbfounded. the next move is only ever an attempt to window dress solutions in order hold onto power. they are incapable of learning because they can never admit THEIR mistakes. totally defensive at that point they try to blame anyone they can for their disasters.

Say’s the dolt with the brains of a garbage fly. It’s sick “people” like you who are making this country the 3rd world slum it’s becoming. I’m sure that’s the most intelligent comment you are capable of. Typical biden supporter intellectual.

My question is this–Does Zelenskyy really even reside IN the Ukraine? He’s always dressed like a man in charge of an army but I find it difficult to believe he stays there while this insane war is going on. He’s an actor/comedian, isn’t he? He can play any role. If he doesn’t stay there, then I wonder if Joe Biden really did travel to see him using a ‘covert’ operation. Zelenskyy is probably here in the U.S. Joe isn’t really at risk.

By the way, when Biden-supporters come on AMAC to comment then we should welcome them. Free speech, you know? We’ll learn what the media is feeding them. It could be amusing. Also, don’t insult or call them names or you are as bad as they are. Rise above them. You don’t have to ‘suffer fools gladly’. Tell them the truth (which they will reject) and then walk away. They will never understand the truth until it smacks them in the face one day. It will be too late for many of them by then.

That’s the only way Biden can destroy the country self-respect WE THE PEOPLE gave our life to defend. UNLIKE HIM, when I took the same oath at 18, I’m 74 today I still understand the meaning of those words, like the 58,479 THAT GAVE ALL. I STILL FEEL it is my DUTY TO STAND BEHIND them. JOE BIDEN other POLITICIANS don’t seem to have that kind of commitment that is why our country is going to hell in a handbasket!!!~.

Still having Biden destroy our United States after having sworn to protect its borders (as only one example and what is expected of our “leader!”) … I do NOT understand why there hasn’t been any demand for his treasonous actions! It seems like most opinions recognize what he’s doing to destroy this country…..but why hasn’t this acknowledgement been plastered by whatever branch is in charge of such things to get the honest word out to the public, and at least see how many agree with DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT!??? Oh, I forgot, most of the newspapers have Democrat editors, I guess.

Trump going to Ohio is the perfect example of an America First agenda. Besides, Biden has vested family business ties in Ukraine to protect.
One of the things politicians count on is – people have short memories. In time most of us will forget about this crisis because there will be another to replace it and the media controls this narrative.
Already it is just a distant memory of those that died in Afghanistan… those we abandoned and left behind… the billions in US military equipment… how we left our European allies uninformed and at risk… the shame… all but forgotten.
