If you own a home, you may be responsible for repairing the water and sewer lines that service your home, as well as your home’s interior plumbing system. Many homeowners may be surprised by, and unprepared for, the unexpected cost of repairs if a problem arises with their home’s water line, sewer line, or interior plumbing lines.
Affordable Protection and Peace of Mind
Fortunately, there is a simple solution. By enrolling in American Water Resources’ optional protection programs — the Water Line and Sewer Line Protection Program, and the In-Home Plumbing Emergency Program — you could be saved from the hassle and expense of covered repairs.
AMAC has selected American Water Resources (AWR) to provide the optional Water Line and Sewer Line Protection Program, and the optional In-Home Plumbing Emergency Program, to its members. For a low monthly fee, AWR will protect homeowners like you from unexpected service line and plumbing repair costs.
If you’re enrolled with American Water Resources protection and you experience a problem, just call AWR. AWR’s Customer Care line offers 24-hour support, 7 days a week. If your problem is covered, AWR will send a licensed, insured plumber from their approved contractor network to your home to fix the issue — and get your life flowing normally once again. (A $50 service fee applies when a contractor is dispatched to your home for sewer line and/or in-home plumbing claims.)
You can enroll in these programs with confidence. AWR provides service line and plumbing protection programs to homeowners in 43 states and Washington D.C. and has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. American Water Resources has a one-year warranty on all covered repairs to ensure the quality of the work. Even better, AWR offers AMAC member pricing for these programs.
What You Should Know
If you’re wondering why you should be concerned, consider this: Water and sewer service line problems are typically not covered by standard homeowners insurance policies and can be complicated and expensive to fix. This means that you could be left having to pay a bill costing thousands of dollars.
Aging pipes and seasonal changes could cause a leak or break to your home’s water service line, or a clog or blockage to your home’s sewer service line. Similarly, interior water supply lines can leak or break, as can water shut-off valves — even a hidden-but-necessary item like a washing machine valve can suddenly stop working properly. Clogged drain lines at sinks or toilets can also be a problem.
These types of problems can be caused by normal wear and tear, and they can happen at any time. Without protection, you could be left having to pay for an expensive repair.
