Sugar & Nut Glazed Brie

couple-cooking¼ cup packed brown sugar

¼ cup coarsely chopped walnuts

1 Tbs. whisky

1 14oz. round Brie

 

In a small mixing bowl or jar, combine brown sugar, walnuts and whiskey. Cover and chill for up to a week.

 

When ready to serve, place cheese on a large ovenproof platter. Bake in a 500 degree oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese is slightly soft. Sprinkle sugar / nut mixture over the top of the cheese, return to the oven, and bake an additional 2 -3 minutes or until sugar is melted and cheese is heated through. Serve with crackers, and grapes or apples if desired.
